Qassam III’’s Being fired into Israel

Israel was celebrating Yom Kippur, the date was October 6, 1973. Egyptian and Syrian military forces attacked Israel at locations in the Sinai and Golan Heights. This action by these Arab governments started the three week war, called the Yom Kippur war. After early advances by the Arab forces, Israeli defense forces defeated both the Egyptian and Syrian military.

It was during this short war, that the survival of Israel was brought to the forefront. As the enemies of Israel made their advances into Israel, the USA made a massive re-supply effort. This was called ‘Operation Nickel Grass’. During this effort to help Israel, the US supplied them with 22,395 tons of cargo, including M-60 tanks, 155mm howitzers, and CH-53 helicopters. The US also sold 36 F-4 Phantom fighter jets to Israel during this war. [theisraelproject.org]

The Israelis were able to defeat their enemies by the grace of the LORD God and a friend and ally called the USA.

Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir said of this effort by the USA to help Israel; “For generations to come, all will be told of the miracle of the immense planes from the United States bringing in the material that meant life for our people.” [ibid] Because of the past history of the US helping Israel, the events by the Bush administration to bring Israel and the Palestinians together no matter what are puzzling to say the least.

Past history of giving land for peace, had proven to be a bad deal for Israel. You cannot name one time when Israel gave up land that they received peace in return. Recent events, also led us to reason that nothing will change, even though the Bush administration does succeed in this latest plan. This last month of December 2007, Israel reported that one rocket was fired every four hours at communities of the western Negev region. In one other example a truck containing potassium nitrate was stopped at one of the crossings from Israel in to the West Bank. Potassium nitrate is used by terrorists for the manufacture of explosives and Qassam rockets. The Potassium was found by the IDF and GSS, and amounted to 6.5 tons of the stuff hidden in sugar-sacks which was marked as humanitarian aid from the European Union.

The current road map that President Bush is opting for, is supervised by the United states, E.U., the Russian Federation, and the U.N. The push by the Bush Administration and his envoy, Rice, has even convinced Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to go along.

In a speech at a Knesset session on Dec 3, 2007 he said: “this is the choice today as well, the existence of two nation-states, Jewish and Palestinian. For there is no other way.” He added, “I am not indifferent to the misfortunes of the Palestinians, despite the fact that it is a result of the war they initiated and the many opportunities they missed.” [ibid]

The Israeli Prime Minister did insist that the Palestinians recognize Israel, a demand that has never been met by the governing bodies in the Palestinian territories.

However, Israel did hear Abbas mention during a press conference that “From a historical perspective, there are two states: Israel and Palestine. In Israel, there are Jews and others living there. This we are willing to recognize, nothing else.” Abbas further said to members of the Palestinian Legislative Council that “recognition of Israel as a Jewish state would “…negate the rights of 1.5 million Palestinians who live there.” [ibid] The statements by Abbas bring to the table one fact; they will not recognize the legitimate right of Israel to be a Jewish state, independent and free. With Bush pushing the agenda along with the free world of major states, the likely hood of a peace that will endure is negative.

Moreover, as the US follows the Bush plan to force Israel, war is ever more present on the horizon. There is too much anti-Israel feelings in the middle east today. These will no doubt come to the forefront when any deal is reached. The plan must please the violent militants who vow to overthrow Israel and push them from the land. The plans of these in the P.A. camp are not to put up with the Israeli government and state, but to destroy it, period. Anyone who thinks that a permanent peace will come out of this does not fully see the situation clearly. We currently have Iran who has vowed to destroy Israel. Add to that fact the Russian Federation that is consistently providing Iran with the tools to do what they want, and the war of Ezekiel 38 is seen even more clearly than before.

The events that we are witnessing are the events which will usher in the war of Ezekiel 38, the compilation of the son of Perdition, his kingdom, and the power to take over the world. In the middle of all that is prophecy today, stands Israel, at the forefront. All eyes should be on Israel, for that is where the action will take place. The US should consider what it is doing in the pressuring of Israel today. There is no doubt, the troubled times which prophecy speaks about, will occur and will not delay. We are in that time period. It will feature events that will shake the entire world. For prophecy also speaks of those who want to take up this burdensome stone, it comes to us in the form of a warning. Take heed.

Zechariah 12:2  Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
3  And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

Jerusalem will be surrounded. It has been so many times in the past. This time, concluding prophecy tells us before the coming of the son of man, the Messiah, to establish his kingdom, that Jerusalem will again be compassed with armies.
We need to understand that many events are coming which will fulfill bible prophecy and bring in the Kingdom of God. It is coming, it will happen.

Luke 21:20  ¶And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
