Today there are many who profess to know the true prophecy of the Lord. I have many who contact me at the WIBR/WARN offices that declare they know what is coming. For these people, sincerity is what they usually reflect. The trouble is as many people as contact me, almost all vary in the word they give. The question arises that if we are filled with the Spirit of the Living God, then why do so many people today differ on what prophecies mean and what is coming? The simple truths today in the church, that is, in those who profess to be the servants of the Lord, many will simply believe anything that seems to come to them in a rush of revelation.

This may be troubling to many in the Body of Christ. Today people, who speak prophecy as the Word of Lord, do not understand that the battle rages in the unseen area. This area, known as the “power of air”, is where the principalities ruling the vast areas which surround us live. The evil entities which then seek all people out, including the believer, especially those who do not fully understand this issue or prepare, and will bring a delusion to anyone who will listen to them.

I have heard many such prophecies. As such prophecies go forth, if they do not come true, then those who give them simply say, the Lord has given a release or a space for repentance. Or they may give some other reason, which sounds valid to many, for reasons they only know. Thus others will continue to listen to these proverbial prophets, even though what they say, does not come true. I know of many such prophets, men of God, who truly love God, and have given prophecies they believe are to be directly from God. Of these, some have seen visions or had dreams, yet, the prophecies they have given do not come true.

This article is neither about those prophets nor about telling them to shut up. This is about those who hear such things and what they need to be doing. This article is about six biblical guides you need to focus on in these last days to live godly in an ungodly world. Many know today that prophecies and prophets are to be judged by the listener. We as well are not to despise prophecies. But the listener today is overrun by thousands of want to be prophets. The range of prophecies is providing a deluge into the American scene today. It is filling the hearts, minds, and souls of people who are not at all prepared to defend against such stuff.

The Apostle Paul had similar trouble. There were those, who were earnest in Paul’s day to warn people of the Day of Christ. This is the day which Christ would come and the gathering of all the saints to Christ. It was so bad, in fact, that the Apostle Paul had told those in Thessalonica about the details surrounding this event. The teachings and words given were as if from the Lord himself. Those who taught these things sounded with the authority of the Apostles. Yet for all their Words, seeming authority, and knowledge, the simple truth was, these who taught such things were wrong. The prophecies, teachings, words, and truth they taught were 100 % wrong. Although they came from people who saw a vision, interpreted scripture, or dreamed a dream, the things they taught were absolutely wrong. That is why, the Apostle Paul wrote 2 Thessalonians.

2 Thessalonians 2:1  ¶Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2  That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

Guide number one:
Do not be shaken in mind or troubled in your sprit by any word or any letter as if from the Lord Himself on these matters that the Day of Christ is at hand or about to happen.

In this first guide, as the early believers were shaken by the fact that they thought the Day of Christ had already happened or was about to happen. The fact was, Paul had told them the details about it before. But they were so shaken by these who taught with authority, they believed them over the truth. So the first thing you must do in any prophecy or Word is look into Gods word on the matter, pray, and fast. The Bible is filled with measurements on prophecy, which you can research and look into. But some recommendations are as follows: Does what this prophet says come to pass 100% of the time? Does this prophet stand in the true Gospel of Christ and his Grace? Does this prophet follow the apostolic doctrines? Does this prophet stand for the Father, who sent of his son (called the love of the truth in 2 Thessalonians), who died on the cross for your sins? If what he says or has said did not come to pass, then don’t listen to him. But remember, not everything a prophet says is prophecy! Many prophets speak what they believe. This is not prophecy, this is their belief! When a prophet does prophesy, they will tell you, “thus saith the Lord, and they will tell you it is prophesy! Also don’t mix up prophesy with a psalm, a song, or a celebration in Word of the Lord? Many teachers today talk about prophesy and tell you how things may fit together. They are not prophesying either, but reflecting on the outcome of biblical prophesies for future reference.

2 Thessalonians 2:3  ¶Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Guide number two:
The Day of Christ will not come except there come a falling away first and that man of sin be revealed, who is the son of perdition.

In this guide, let me speak a moment about what many believe the Day of Christ is and when it will occur. For many, the scripture here, and in 1 Thessalonians speak of what many call the Rapture. For others, it details the Day of Christ, or the Lord, when he comes. Traditional interpretations say of Rapture, that there is a pre-trib, mid-trib, or a post-trib rapture. In other words, before the 7 year tribulation, in the middle of the tribulation, or at the end of the tribulation, there are the typical options for the Rapture. This article is not a treatise for or against Rapture. But let me speak briefly that you should be praying this, according to Luke 21:36. The context of the whole passage is below. Simply put, you as a believer should not be overcharged with your life details, paying bills, having fund, drunkenness, cares of this life so much that the Day of the Lord comes upon you catching you unaware of it.[Hint: like a thief in the night]. This day will come as a snare upon the whole world. This day will be like a trap, a snare, catching the prey in the trap of the Lord. This is the snare. The warning is this, directly from the Lord, you would be wise to pray this for yourself, your family, and loved ones. Watch for the day of the Lord, see the signs, prepare, be ready, work as unto the Lord, and pray always [I repeat always], that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass and to stand before the Son of man.

Luke 21:34  And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35  For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36  Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

The simple facts, according to the Apostle Paul is that this day will not come unless and until: Number one there is a Falling away, which can be interpreted as those who are in the church, the believers who fall away from the true Gospel of Christ and his Grace. These are those who deny the deity of the Lord Jesus, and walk according to the lusts of the flesh. The second aspect to Paul’s warning is that the man of sin, known as the Son of perdition, will be revealed. Here let it be noted, that this man, is the one we usually call the Antichrist. But whether you call him that or see him as the one who is the destroyer who leads people to destruction, the Day of Christ will not come until he is revealed. For the believer, that means, you will see this destroyer come to power. He will be revealed.

2 Thessalonians 2:15  Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
16  ¶Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
17  Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

Guide Number Three:
Stand fast and hold those things which you were taught by the word or by the epistles.
We have an everlasting consolation and good hope, which is our Lord Jesus Christ,
therefore, comfort your hearts with this knowledge, and be established in every good word and work.

As a true believer, you need to hold to the true Word. This is the word given by Jesus Christ to the Apostles. Then the Apostles handed this word down to the believers in the form of the written word and epistles. You need to especially do this today. I urge everyone to personally Fast, Pray, and Seek the Lord. You need to stand fast and hold to the Word of the Lord given to you through the Word and Epistles. You have an everlasting consolation, a solace, a comfort, and a hope through Jesus Christ our Lord. He said he would “never leave you or forsake you!” You need to be firm in your trust of Him, even though, at times you may not understand what he is doing. You need to be firm in your Trust of Him, even though, you do not understand all prophecy or the times in which you may find yourself. It is through this consolation, the hope you have in Christ Jesus that you find comfort for your heart, know peace, and understand that He is true to his word. Although, you may not understand all the prophecies, nor find a true prophet, remember your hope is not in the ‘arm of the flesh’ or in a fleshly prophet here on earth. Your hope is in the Lord of Glory, Jesus Christ. He is your savior and Lord; he will not forsake you, nor leave you. You can trust him. Many of your brethren over history have given up their lives willingly because they trust in him. This trust is faith, and faith overcomes the world. So have trust and as you are doing this, work for him, be faithful, walk in love, and be the obedient servant.

2 Thessalonians 3:3  But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

Guide number four:
The Lord is faithful, he will establish you and keep you from every evil!

In America daily we find murders, rapes, kidnapping, and every evil. It seems today that there is nothing new under the sun. My heart has been gripped at times, overwhelmed by the bloodshed and wickedness in America and the world today. The fact is that the world has become a haven for every evil wicked spirit today. Men and women right now are being swayed, toyed with, and coaxed into following the wiles and cunning ways of the enemy of man. Don’t for a minute think that the devils empire is disorganized. He knows, his followers know, and all the evil principalities and powers know if you truly believe. There is a story I read not long ago. It goes like this. There was this believer, a follower of the Lord. This person came upon another person who was demon possessed. The individual was incredibly possessed and in trouble. The believer had compassion on this person and started to rebuke the spirit. After some time of being unable to remove the spirit from the possessed individual, the believer said to the spirit in the person. “You must leave; I have ordered you to leave in Jesus Name! Have you not heard of Jesus?” The spirit replied “Jesus I know, but do you know Him? His power I know, but do you know of His power?” Today, sadly many in America know Jesus Christ, but not his power, authority, and what he has provided for all his children. That is why many feel at a loss over what to do by the wickedness which surrounds them. Some feel that way because they have compassion, others feel that way because they have fear and not peace of the way things are. The fact is the Lord is faithful. It is he who will establish you, give you peace, and in the midst of the wickedness and evil which is in the land, he will guard you and keep you.

2 Thessalonians 3:5  And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

Guide number five:
The Lord will direct your hearts into the love of God and enable you to wait patient for the Day of Christ’s revelation and appearance!

The Lord therefore is our Hope and consolation. It is he that will direct our hearts into the “full envelope of the love of God”. It is he who will enable us to wait patiently for the Day of Christ, his revelation in this world. We are the generation who will witness the literal physical return of Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMassiah to this earth. The time is coming, prophecies will be fulfilled regarding this, and we will witness it all. But in these wicked times, our Lord, with his Spirit will direct our hearts into the love of God. It was he that said, “Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world”. He came, fulfilled the Fathers will, and brought us to the Father. We came to know this love; we will be enveloped by it, surrounded by it, and helped by it. That is why it is so important to seek Him today, with all your heart, mind, and soul. For in doing this, he will indeed direct your hearts into the pure fullness of Gods love. With this love, you will be able to wait for him, even in the midst of a society full of wickedness and unbelief. You will truly be his disciple and the love of his heart.

2 Thessalonians 3:6  ¶Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

Guide number six:
Withdraw yourselves from those brethren who walk disorderly, not after the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, his gospel, and the Apostles doctrine.

I bring this up, because it is one of the commands of Paul, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are also told to “come out of Babylon”. Here we are commanded to withdraw from every brother, and I will add every church, every pastor, every Apostle, every prophet, and every one who calls himself a Christian but is disorderly to the commandments of Christ, given to us through the Apostles.

In the past, as an unbeliever, you walked as a child of disobedience. You literally fulfilled the desires of the flesh, desires of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others who did this. You were the child of wrath, because the wrath of God abides upon all who walk this way. Today, there are many pastors, churches, deacons, and others who are walking as the Children of disobedience. They think to do such things is okay, but these will face the wrath of God.

Ephesians 2:2  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3  Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Many Churches and Pastors today preach a ‘fairy tale Jesus’ and a ‘sugar plum church’, where everything is sweet. You can do anything you want, including anything in the flesh, and even love the world, and all is fine. Truth is the Wrath of God abides on all who do such things.

America is a hedonistic society, an idolatrous one, and one where the unclean is accepted. That which is perverted is simply a choice and that which is evil, is now okay. A place where the laws of the land make it okay to do it, so it is okay. Don’t mind the Lord, it is our laws, they say that count. The argument has so convinced the backslidden church and pastors that they have accepted this. Simply put, do these things, and you will not inherit the kingdom of God and of Christ, you will in fact, face the wrath of God. Even as a so called believer, your fruits will find you out. Instead of deliverance you will face the wrath of God that is described in Revelation.

Ephesians 5:5  For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6  Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
7  Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

Therefore, because of this fact that as a believer you cannot do these things, you must put to death the deeds of the body. As you walk in the wicked society, as a believer, holiness and separation unto Christ and to God must be adhered too. For all fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, idolatry and
Every evil work must be put to death, for again, the wrath of God is upon all those who are the children of disobedience. These are those who are in the church, who dare call themselves Christians, followers of God and of Jesus Christ, but in fact are walking in the deeds of the flesh and of the mind. Be warned to do such things will bring Gods wrath upon you.

Colossians 3:5  ¶Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
6  For which things” sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
