He shall be our Comfort…The LORD our God!
He shall arise to greet thee…The LORD our God!
He is our Shepherd…The LORD our God!

His Rod is prepared…The LORD thy God!

His Staff is ready…The LORD thy God!

He shall bring out his Annointed…The LORD thy God!

HE shall Deliver them…The LORD their God!

Isaiah 9:6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

For you shall be as Lambs among wolves.
Evil shall be great, but you shall come forth,

Yea, by my outstretched arm, shall ye come.

The ‘Shadow of Death’, as a spectre,

Yea, again, it shall be evil and will sweep over the land,

It shall consume the nations, all people will know this.

But do not fear it, the ‘Shadow of Death’.

For this valley of the ‘Shadow of Death’ brings with it,

Yea, much fear and evil, but you are mine.

I AM, saith He that liveth evermore,

I AM, with you, my beloved!

Those who keep my word and the faith of Jesus,

Even these are my annointed!

Call to repentance from the LORD, who can turn someone who is living in ‘the shadow of death’ into deliverance and light, bringing salvation!

Amos 5:8  Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:

The Coming Prophesied Messiah in Isaiah, coming to those who sit in the ‘Land of the shadow of death’. Then in the Gospels, the Messiah is fulfilling the prophets, having brought the light of salvation to them who ‘sit in the shadow of death’!

Isaiah 9:2  The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

Psalms 107:10  ¶Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;

Luke 1:79  To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.Your enemies shall behold my hand upon you,

I shall prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies,

Yea, even the sure mercies of David my Servant,

Before your enemies shall I do this!

I shall fill your cup with oil,

I shall annoint thy head,

It shall overflow with my presence!

For in the days of the ‘Shadow of Death’,

My Goodness and my Mercy shall be upon you.

Yea, upon all those who are my beloved,

Moreover, upon all those who repent and seek my face,

For these are times of the end,

As a snare shall these things come upon all nations,

Upon all those who dwell on the earth.

The covenant of the believer with the LORD, whom he serves, keeping the ‘faith and testimony of Jesus’, and ‘the commandments’. As they walk through ‘the shadow of death’, they are not to fear evil, for the LORD will deliver them!

Psalms 23:4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

There are those, who have seen the light!. But some of these, alas, have gone from the LORD, back into the ‘shadow of death’.

Jeremiah 2:6  Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?

Jeremiah 13:16  Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.

Psalms 44:19  Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.

For I have prepared a place for you,

In my presence,

In the House of the LORD God,

Forever, even forever more!

Ye shall pass through this valley,

For I AM with you saith he who liveth forevermore,

The Day of evil shall pass also,

This ‘Smelter’, the ‘Shaking’ upon all peoples and nations!

The Shadow of death is real, and as JOB describes it, can bring any mortal to his or her knees. It can come as judgment, as deliverance from sin, as an attack from an enemy, and as a sovereign act of God upon a nation or people.

Job 3:5

Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it.

Job 34:22  There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

Those who overcome shall come unto me,
For I AM, the LORD,
For my names sake,

For the ‘Sure Mercies of David’,

To establish his Throne and my Glory,

Forever, will I do this,

To bring righteousness,

For the earth shall be covered with my glory,

As the nations of those who are saved shall come before me,

Saith the LORD, when I bring again Zion,

So Will I do this!

Psalms 87:1  ¶<<A Psalm or Song for the sons of Korah.>> His foundation is in the holy mountains.
2  The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

6  The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.
