the LORD God or ?

Romans 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Hebrews 8:10  For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

1 Peter 1:13  ¶Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

There is no doubt today that the believer that does conform to the world will be an unbeliever, a lukewarm Laodacian Christian, or even an unbeliever in time. The world seeks to bring the believer far from the roots that should hold him or her. It’s [by this I mean the world, the devil, demons, spirits, and the flesh of man itself] attacks basically come in three areas of life: ‘lust of the flesh’, ‘lust of the eyes’, and ‘pride of life’. The enemy of our soul attacks our biblical roots which are grounded in the Word of God, Prayer, and a life of leading and nurturing by the Spirit of God. In this life as believers in Y’Shua [Jesus], belief and faith are paramount. “For without faith, it is impossible to please God, for those who come to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” ~ Hebrews 11:6.  In this verse we find co-equals here, namely ‘faith’ and its brother ‘belief’. Without these we are lost. How can we belief if we have no faith and how can we have faith without any belief?  But as Christians, let me say this, we are more believers than Christian. Why? Because I know many Christians who are not believers, yet for the believers I know, they believe, and they are also Christian.  Maybe a play on words, but the truth remains that today in America, the Christian faith is close to idol worship and carnality. It is rooted and rotted in the nation of America where the ‘sugar plum gospel’ and the ‘fairy tale Jesus’ sit around in a haze of unbelief and convince themselves everything will be okay. This is the time of the Laodacian church, no doubt, but we also have the ‘Dead’ Sardis church here as well. This is why, for those who will ‘believe’, and have ‘faith’, they must learn to lean on, rely upon, and trust in the Lord more than ever. Not giving themselves over to mindless thinking, or to men’s tall tales, or to doctrines of men which are wrong, but they must learn to ‘renew’ their minds in Christ.

“Renew”, strong’s 342, an adjustment of one’s moral and spiritual vision. Renovation, Restoration, Transformation, change of heart and life, via the work of the Holy Spirit in transformation or regeneration.

2 Corinthians 10:3  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

In this, though, let us be aware of our weapons, for they are mighty through God. We can literally pull down or cast down the strongholds of darkness. When imaginations, men’s reasonings, satan’s trickeries, demonic thoughts, or any other fleshly high thing enters into our minds, we can pull these down. Just as the walls of Jericho came down when Israel marched around it and then gave a blast of the trumpet, so we can bring down these. We can cast down these ‘high things’ literally ‘height’, that arise from the regions of the air where the prince of darkness and his legions exalt themselves over God and us. They and the thoughts, imaginations, and trickeries which enter our minds and thoughts can be brought down finally in one powerful word by the power of Christ. We bring these thoughts and those idea’s into captivity rounding them up, breaking the spirits who try to sway us with these and lay them against the knowledge of God and of Christ. Through our own obedience to Christ and his Spirit, these are herded up, brought into alignment with Gods word and cast them down. These come down with faith, obedience, and belief coupled with action and the power of God through the Spirit. They must give sway to this power for they are defeated!

Further, Hebrews the third chapter tells of a generation that did not enter in because of unbelief. These had ‘evil hearts’, an evil so insidious that it is called ‘unbelief’. This ‘unbelief’ caused this generation to depart from the living God. In their ‘unbelief’ they followed idols, served the flesh, and did things that the gentile nations around them did. In fact their sins were much more grievous than the gentiles nations themselves. Through this ‘deceit’ of sin, the hearts were hardened, the minds corrupted and seared against God and they would not listen. They did not hear from God for the stubbornness they held in rebellion against God. Thus this generation did not enter into the LORD’S rest. Why? They believed not!

Hebrews 3:12  Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13  But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14  For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end;
15  While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
16  For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
17  But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
18  And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
19  So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

The question today is, will the American church and Christians be able to stand what is coming? Will they reach a time when all they have been taught in doctrine and church foundational teachings will be seen as false? Many today ignore our warnings of what is coming to America. The truth be told, this is coming, but not as soon as many may think, which I speak here of regarding the LORD’S timing in all this, prophetically speaking. But the things that will come ahead of destruction of America is pure ‘smelter’ of the LORD. It is filled with famines, pestilences, bloodshed, sickness, wars, and natural disasters. In addition America and those in this nation will experience judgments that come as well. Now I say this because these events will not be the complete anniliation of this country, which will come in time, but will be unlike anything the nations and especially America has ever seen or experienced. Life in America will never be as it used to be. That is why, as a believer, the renewing of the mind is so important today.

In the midst of so much information, we are becoming deaf to the truth! What is truth? Can you find out? If you went to 100 churches, it would be the truth that these churches who all follow Jesus Christ would have different teachings on the same subject. If you found 10 Pastors or Evangelists how many would actually agree on doctrine and end times prophecy? Daily you and I are bombarded with information from news, the Internet, churches, prophets, pastors, friends, unbelievers, and skeptics. All that information has to go somewhere. It goes through your ears into your mind and some of it will grip your heart. When the heart is gripped, this will cause physical sensations. Some of these are fear which will cause sweating, uneasiness, nervousness, and even physical symptoms. Watching bloodshed, violence, and  horrid sex scenes will fill  your mind with lust, deceit, and feelings no Godly person should have.  This is where we must focus. Look not to the right or left. Look to the LORD. I mean really, look, be quiet, get in his Word and read it. Then read it again, meditate on it, read it, think on it, mull it over and then apply it. Receive it by faith and stand in belief! But in this there is the ‘renewing’ that the Apostle Paul talked about in Romans 12. This is speaking of the Power of the Holy Spirit to make changes in your life, heart, and mind. It is supernatural in scope and practical in its power to achieve those changes. All you have to do is read, receive it, believe it, and let the faith have her perfect work. It is here that too many depend on inner voices, spirits in the night, dreams, and men’s idea’s on what is going on and what is happening! The truth be told, here, much of what is listened too by many in the Christian realm concerning last days and prophecy is false. We linger too much on this. We need to take a step back, knowing what is coming, but taking time to really ‘refresh and renew’ our minds and hearts. Let the Spirit of God cleanse us, so to speak of all those vain thoughts and detrimental false teachings that are going on. It is here that people need to walk in ‘faith and belief’ and allow true ‘regeneration, renewing, and refreshing’ by the Holy Spirit to cleanse their thoughts, minds, hearts, of any and all trash gathered in the day’s information overload. We have air filters to filter out the air, we have water filters to filter out the impurities in our water, we have gas filters, movie ratings which filter the content of movies, and virtually every other kind of filter. We have the kidney’s and the liver in our body to filter out the impurities. This is where it stops for the unbeliever. They have no such filter as we do. For we, through the Holy Spirit can have our minds and heart renewed in Him, our LORD. But we must stop; i.e. be still and stop listening to all the vanity around us and focus totally on Him.

Take the scripture below. When was the time you were in actual ‘perfect peace’? Note, this comes only if your mind is stayed on the LORD God.

Isaiah 26:2  Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.
3  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
4  Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

The word LORD here [the first LORD] is yhwh, or Yahweh. It is the divine, personal name of God and relates personally to his chosen or covenant people. That is those who specifically do what he says. Those things he says in his commandments, which make or form a bond or covenant with those who keep his commandments. Even Jesus said, ‘if you love me, you will keep my commandments.’ It is here that those who know the LORD, will do what he says. In doing this we form a relationship and a bond. As we do those things pleasing in his sight and also walk by faith, we can know peace, a peace that comes from placing our mind and heart totally on the LORD.

The divine name YHWH appears only in the Bible. Its precise meaning is much debated. God chose it as His personal name by which He related specifically to His chosen or covenant people.

The second word LORD here is ‘yah’, a shortened form of the first LORD, but in the Hebrew is the same as ‘yhwh’ and means the same. The word Jehovah here also means ‘yhwh’ or ‘Yahweh’.  The meaning in this context here is that the word for ‘personal, divine, and covenant name’ for the LORD [yhwh, Yahweh] is used three times, i.e. LORD is used twice, and Jehovah once, all meaning and referring to the special covenant name of God and his relationship with his people who are special. By using this word ‘yhwh’ and its form ‘yah’, we have an important witness to the truth. It means, pay attention to this, it is important! The Word says by the mouth of ’2 or 3′ witnesses let every word be established. Here we have the witness of ‘yhwh’ himself who cannot lie, repeated three times for our understanding. The Lord is saying to us, “this peace does come from disobedience but obedience, not from stubbornness of heart, but of willingly following the LORD and doing those things which please me”. It is a walk by faith of both obedience and servitude! In that walk, the people of God have a special place of covenantal ‘peace’ when they stay or put their mind upon the LORD and walk in obedience to his will.

It is here as well during shortages, troubles, and heartaches that our faith must come full measure. Let’s start with the basics of what the LORD told us to do. All the law and the prophets hang on two commandments, namely this:”Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and love your neighbor as yourself”.

Matthew 22:37  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38  This is the first and great commandment.
39  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

With that in mind, if we follow those commandments and then understand as well the relationship we have with the LORD God, our Father, he will provide. What do we need to do? The scripture says to ‘seek the kingdom of God’ first! Do not seek what you shall eat, or what you shall drink, or be doubtful in your mind! Don’t walk in unbelief! This is an example of what we must do in our minds and soul. We must renew, redo, and let the Spirit of God make a permanent impression in us that our thinking must change and also our actions. Putting aside the flesh and its weakness, we focus our heart and minds on God, trusting in him to provide no matter what. But in times of stress, we filter out the vain trash the devil puts in our minds through the Word of God, prayer, and the Spirit. In this, we ‘renew’ our minds in the LORD and walk in obedience and victory in him.

Luke 12:28  If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
29  And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30  For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31  But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Remember again, God has given us something the world and the unbeliever doesn’t have! What is that! We have a Spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind! Therefore, walk in this power, love, and sound mind! But in order to do that you must walk in obedience to the LORD, be in communion with him and his will. Remember the LORD is the vine, we are the branches. From Him we get fed and nourished! It is substantive and real, coming from the Holy Spirit’s power in our life and the Word of God, from which comes faith.

2 Timothy 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

There are many today that are in fact, religious! There are those who have a form of godliness but they deny the power of it. There are those who are ‘children of disobedience’ who refuse to walk in obedience to the LORD and are under his wrath. Many today, including unbelieving Christians have given themselves over to the worlds version of morality and faith. But you did not learn this from Christ nor his Spirit. We are to put off that corruption from our former life and be ‘renewed in the spirit of our mind’.  This renewal comes from the power of the Holy Spirit in your life!

Ephesians 4:19  Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20  But ye have not so learned Christ;
21  If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
22  That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23  And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24  And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Here let it be noted that there are vain and dangerous minds out there! It is from this we have been delivered through Christ. The work of ‘regeneration’ by the Holy Spirit works effectual in our lives if we let him do his work.

Dangerous minds of the flesh:

Ephesians 2:3  Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

The dangers of the fleshly mind: fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind!

This is the corrupt side of man, the one that does not get fulfillment. Once man is caught up in this fleshly merry go round, there is not a single day of peace. Once you indulge the flesh and the desires of the mind, they will always be hungry. This is the corrupt nature of man, from the fall. Caught up in this, pushed by demons and spirits of lust, man is lost and has no hope. The only total cure and hope is deliverance by Christ Jesus. For through Christ we understand and have been made aware of our sins, the Holiness of God, and the redemption needed through Christ. But for the unbelieving and defiled, there is nothing pure. They see nothing wrong in what they do! The reason is their own mind and conscience is defiled.

Titus 1:15  Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

We therefore, through Christ do not walk as other gentiles or even as some Jews walk, in the useless vanity of their mind. For we have made peace through the blood of the cross of Christ and through Jesus our LORD we have along with all others who believe on him and walk in obedience to his Word are reconciled unto God. One day, we will be all united in Christ forever, ‘male and female, Jew and gentile, will be all one in Christ.’ But first, we have a life here to finish with victory. We obtain that victory through Christ and our faith in Him.

Ephesians 4:17  ¶This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

Colossians 1:20  And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
21  And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

In conclusion, let me urge you to get your ‘filter’ in gear today. Put off all the vain information, teachings, thoughts, attitudes, and anything else that is not of God by ‘renewing your mind’ in the LORD. Get into prayer, fasting, reading and applying the Word of God, and letting the Spirit of God cleanse your mind, heart, and soul today. Sit before the LORD, read the Word, meditate on it, and ask the LORD to cleanse your mind, heart, and soul of those vain things that have come into your system. Let the Holy Spirit and the Word of God be the filter in your heart and life today. This is the ‘renewing and regeneration’ in action. In this, let me add, remove therefore all the sources from your living space as well that are not conducive to the LORDS will and Word for your life. Let me add a final note here that in doing this, we ‘rebuke those demons and spirits’ that put the vain thoughts and trash in our minds and bind them in Jesus name, casting them away from us, forbidding them to speak to us forever.’ We use the Word of God as a weapon, speaking it against the enemy. The Word is the bullet, propelled by the Spirit of God, and spoken in faith by the believer. When done correctly in faith and in the name of Jesus Christ, all powers and principalities must bend and bow or they will break.  For some, though, fasting and prayer is needed, but this is another subject.

Endnote:
In your renewed mind and life you are:

-Enlightened through the Spirit of God and not the new age or the world
-You have Spiritual understanding of God, his holiness, and his love, and your redemption.
-You know God, talk to him, have a relationship with him through Christ Jesus
-You know Gods way, through Christ Jesus to life and hope eternal
-You have a heart filled from Gods love, through his Spirit of love and compassion for both God and man. You are his light and salt in the earth.
-You walk in mercy and compassion from this love, this is faith in action, which pleases God.[Read James]

James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6  But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7  For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8  A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

James 1:21  Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
22  But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23  For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24  For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
25  But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
26  If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
27  Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

ABOVE THE MURAL OF ANNUNCIATION

ABOVE THE MURAL OF ANNUNCIATION

The pope had a lousy time in Israel. The plans for Pres. Peres to hand him sovereignty over six places in the land were shattered thanks, in no small part, to my longterm readers like Dr. Daisy Stern, Bob Kunst and Prof. Hillel Weiss. They successfully informed the Israeli public of Peres’ Vatican perfidy. And as for the Peres/Papal land seizure, curses, foiled again! The pope was plenty ticked by his disappointment and immediately blamed Israel for his crummy tour:

Vatican seeks answers for low turnout for pope’s Jerusalem mass

Roman Catholic Church officials say they would like an explanation from Israel for the poor turnout at Pope Benedict XVI’s open-air mass in Jerusalem last week.
Monsignor Antonio Franco, the papal nuncio in the Holy Land, said Thursday that church officials are still trying to figure out what happened. He says he’s received reports that worshipers with tickets were turned away at the entrance while others received their tickets too late. Some 5,000 worshippers expected at the May 12 mass next to the Garden of Gethsemane but no more than 3,000 people arrived. (Reuters)

So while the pope was stuck in his dead end Israeli jaunt, a new road to get what he wants was presented to the world:

Rome to host Mideast council

Permanent forum to be based at Ara Pacis, symbol of peace

(ANSA) – Jerusalem, May 19 – Rome is to host a permanent council for Israeli-Palestinian reconciliation, the city’s mayor, Gianni Alemanno, announced on Tuesday.

Speaking after a meeting with Israeli President Shimon Peres, Alemanno said the council would be located at Rome’s 2,000-year-old symbol of peace, the Ara Pacis. ”The idea is to set up a permanent office at the Ara Pacis, providing a permanent, complete council tasked with working towards reconciliation,” said the mayor. Alemanno said he would also discuss the idea with Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas later on Tuesday.

The mayor said he hoped to launch the council on April 21, 2010, the birthday of Rome’s mythical founding, in an event attended by political and religious leaders. Saying he was hopeful Pope Benedict XVI would be there, Alemanno explained that Peres had ”underlined the importance of involving leading world figures in such an initiative, which Rome is ideally placed to do”. According to Alemanno, a similar idea was raised over a year ago but was shelved during the change of government in May 2008.

Peres has reportedly said he will write to Premier Silvio Berlusconi to personally request his support for the initiative. Alemanno’s announcement about the Rome council comes at the end of a visit that has seen him trying to forge closer ties with the area.

On Monday he joined his Jerusalem counterpart Nir Barkat for a ceremony in which a small square near Jerusalem’s Italian synagogue was renamed ‘Piazza Roma’.

The traditionally Jewish quarter of Rome will soon see one of its squares renamed Piazza Jerusalem. During his visit Alemanno also confirmed that the Palestinian National Authority is to get a permanent embassy in Rome.

The Palestinian embassy has moved around for the last ten years but will now be located ”in a prestigious building” in the city’s San Giovanni neighbourhood, the mayor said. The Ara Pacis, meaning Altar of Peace, was commissioned in 13 BC to celebrate peace throughout the Roman Empire under the Emperor Augustus. It was completed in 9 BC, 23 years before Augustus’s death at the age of 76 in 14 AD.

My friend Michael from Australia called this week, just returned from his pilgrimage to Israel. He followed the pope’s journey in part, visiting Nazareth’s Church Of The Annunciation where the pope said a few good words on May 14. He was shocked by, well, here are his words and photo:

This is the photo taken in the Church of the Annunciation, Nazareth in
late-April 2009.
Pope Prays at Mural, with the 'eye of horus' above it!
However Pope B16 did pray on 14th May under this mural, which clearly
contains the all-seeing eye or the Eye of Horus.

The Church of the Annunciation was dedicated by Pope Paul VI on his trip to Israel in 1964 and completed in 1969. It was built over the ruins of previous churches which chose this spot as the holy place where the angel Gabriel found Mary in a grotto and informed her that she would soon give birth to Jesus. The mural appears to feature Jesus, Gabriel and Mary together, a miracle since Jesus wasn’t alive at the time.

But it isn’t the mural that is so damning of Vatican symbolism as the adjunct above it. Secured to the wall directly above the head of Jesus, is an all seeing eye, resting on, apparently, eagle wings. Although Roman legions marched under banners of eagle wings, some early Christians adopted the wings, turning them now into their symbol for the ascension. But NO Christians, then or now, and certainly not Jesus, had any use for the occult symbolism of the Eye of Horus

A psalm by the Watchman Dana G Smith

Footprints in the earth walking side by side
How have I made it thus far?
One of those are mine, the other is yours,
Oh LORD, how fast it has gone, life I mean!
I remember the times you did nourish me,
I know the times you lifted me up,
Then there was the correction you gave,
To this end, I fared well.

I see the life go on day by day,
Life in its courses, life rehearsing its actions,
Man living, man breathing, man dying,
But in the end, after it all, life has vanished,
Quickly, in a moment, How did I spend it?

1 Corinthians 15:19  If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable

Was it in your service?
Was my life selfish?
How did I really count the hours Oh Lord?
Did I ever think that it would end so abruptly?
Why have I been so foolish?
Why did I not learn quicker?
Why have I not done all I could have done?

So many regrets,
So many faults,
So much misery,
So much fantasy,
So much pride,
But in the end, all of it,
Vanity, which passes like the tide!

Thank God for the LORD who saved me,
Who taught me daily as I subscribed to his leading.
Thank God for his Love that embraced me,
Whilst I was stubborn and full of Pride.
Thank God for his salvation through Christ to me was given,
Yes, Thank God, for in this life, the footprints are over,
But the Eternal time with thee, Oh Lord have just begun!

1 Corinthians 13:12  For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

Yes, I Thank thee Oh LORD God, My eternal Father who has saved me,
By thy Grace, through this small avenue of Faith,
In Y’Shua [Jesus] Ha Massiach [Christ], my LORD,
To thee Oh Father, blessed be thee who has,
Through all this life redeemed me,
Fully,
Completely,
In Thee,
Oh God,
Forever,
and Ever~
Blessed be thy Name, Eternal One!

1 Thessalonians 4:13  ¶But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

The Footprint of Man

The Footprint of Man:
“You hear of the Carbon footprint, well there is another one”

Yes it was in the beginning that God, brought forth the earth, the heavens, and all that therein is. It was this sovereign, just, and true God, whom then was known yet unknown. For when man first came, out of the earth so God formed man, then woman afterwards. Thus the relationship began between God and man.

Genesis 2:7  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Genesis 2:18  ¶And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Genesis 2:22  And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

Yet in this, man today does not rely on the veracity of it. Especially the bible and as the ‘naysayers’ hold to ‘Darwinism which opposes creationism.’ In this, for those who believe, that in the Lord God all things were created according to John 1, this is what matters most. The bible for many today is Gods record of what happened and this is our copy of that record. Today, however, man does not in mass see this as truth, nor what it details as the sin of man nor his start.

John 1:1  ¶In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2  The same was in the beginning with God.
3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

But then this article is not about all that, nor is it a debate about creationism or Darwin’s theory called evolution, which I call pollution. At any rate, today if you are human, know this, out of the earth you came, and to the earth you shall return. We live daily in our lives, which pass by quickly, as the flower fades so goes our flesh and life. It is appointed by God, not just to live, by his providence, but also to die. After we die, before this God we will all stand. Before this Eternal God, whom Jesus said to call ‘Father’, so stand we before him. The flesh and all that it entails will be gone in a whirlwind that past by the earth as a vapor. For the most part no one noticing who you were nor caring. But for some, the famous one’s anyway, they are remembered by history, by their deeds and accomplishments, or by their fame.

Many of those in the world will never be mourned for nor pitied, nor helped. They live their lives meagerly trying to find morsel of food, a scrap of this or that just to survive one more hour or one day. For them just living is hell and being dead seems to be a method of deliverance. Yet for man, there is no deliverance beyond the grave, unless of course you received Gods ‘love of the truth’, if you do, then there is hope. Man fell, he and woman, along with their offspring can enjoy all the fruits of their labors here or experience misery and toil. The fact remains, God without man is still God and man without God is lost. There is no hope, no promise of that heavenly reward. This was the fruit of the loss of mans relationship with God in the beginning.

Psalms 39:5  Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.
Psalms 39:6  Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.

Psalms 89:48  What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah

Man today tries through science and technology to find ways to live. The search for eternal life, for more of this living, for a longer world experience. We live in a time of unbridled lusts and vast scientific know how. No other generation has had as much knowledge, ability, and the technology to make heaven on earth as we do. Yet for all this, our society is breaking up, bloodshed is everywhere, war is rampant, starvation, famine, plagues, pestilence, disease, and more ravage the world. In all this, even with all we know today, man has days like the ‘flower of the fields’. A short time to be planted, a short time to grow, a short time to reproduce, and a time to bloom, then they die. For a short time the field is blooming, pretty, green, colored with vast flowers, yet they all die. Then a new season and a new crop comes in. So is man and his life.

Psalms 103:15  As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
16  For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
17  But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;
18  To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

We hear so much about the carbon footprint. There are those trying to save ‘mother earth’ and telling man he must reduce his carbon footprint. For the earth is dying because of us. It seems that many of these ‘greenies’ would be happy if we who make the carbon footprints just die so ‘mother earth’ will survive. Scripture, however, tells us that the ‘earth is devoured with the curse’, that man ‘destroys the earth’. In all the cycles of life and mans know how, he has never found out how to stop or nullify that one thing which is killing us. That is sin. This one thing we call sin must be dealt with. Men and women today ignore this word, sin. They go on living their meager lives in vanity not understanding this life alone is only the beginning. Beyond this life is true life, eternal life, and redemption. A re-uniting with our God and LORD forever in a ‘new heaven and earth’. Also beyond life is ‘true death’, an eternal separation from God who is Holy. Without Him, his ‘love of the truth’, man is lost and without God or hope in this world and the next.

Isaiah 24:6  Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

Revelation 11:18  And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

For now men leave their footprints on the earth. God see’s those prints, which consist of the things men and women do daily. Footprints that are the result of the way they have walked, lived, and then died. Men honor men when they die if they have left a footprint honorable in their sight. We have in the earth monuments, books, streets, cities, and much more to honor the past footprints of men and women. Yet in the end of it all, from eternity, these will all pass by. For this God in the very end will destroy and bring an end to this life, its vanity, and all that is in it. Why? Because it is all vanity, in sin and in rebellion against God! This is his earth and he will prepare a place for himself and all those who love him.

Ecclesiastes 7:15  All things have I seen in the days of my vanity: there is a just man that perisheth in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man that prolongeth his life in his wickedness.

In this, as believers and being saved from the death that results from being separated from our God, we have life. This life is in Christ, it was he who offered up his life as an atonement for our sins. He bore our sins, therefore by our hope in him and his work, we shall enter into eternity in his course and offerings. This means, as we stand before the throne of God, we do so in the ‘mercy of God’ through ‘Christ’ who offered himself up for us. His blood shed, covers our sins, therefore, our sins are covered by this offering up of Christ, the Lamb of God.

Hebrews 9:27  And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28  So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

As I write this, I remember my own Grandfather. He was a good man, a man of good character and was on the pages of the L.A. Times during World war II. He was many things, a father, husband, mariner, a City manager, a game warden, a fire chief, and my grandfather. I see the picture of him on my desktop. He was a man’s man, a golden gloves boxing champion. But in all this, one whom I knew from a distance, was in fact an atheist. I know his footprints, what he did, but I do not really know him. I knew my other grandfather, but even though I worked with him, ate at his table, and slept under his roof, his life ended without me really getting to know him. I knew him briefly but really did not come to know him, yet he also did not actively speak about God. I know his footprints, his ability as a farmer, husband, grandfather, but little else. He died and today, he with my other grandfather are only memories, on a desktop, from a picture, and in those brief moments I spent with each of them before they died.

2 Peter 3:10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11  ¶Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12  Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13  Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

I remember my mother who died during Christmas. I also know of the heartbreak, the sickness, the terrible times she went through. I know the last time she recognized me, I also know of the former times when we would talk on the phone to each other discussing so much. I also remember the time that she wanted to go be with the LORD, she had enough. This was indeed one of the last times she recognized me and was coherent. She said that the LORD Jesus told her it was not her time yet. All of it vanished in a moment. Now my dad who is in his mid eighties faces life as a bachelor. I visit with him, know him, and what he is like, but he also will come to a time when life will end. What then?

It is to this end, we who have hope, must work and make our footprints count. They must be for the LORD and for those things he loves. There will be a time when in heaven, living in that eternal portal with the LORD that we shall know even as we are also known. We will know our past loved ones who are with the LORD. Christ died for us, but if we just had Christ to get us through this life alone, then all is lost. For Christ came to save the ungodly and the sinner. He came to deliver us into the Fathers eternal kingdom forever. Our Hope is in Christ, which is with him and the Father in Eternity. With us there will be all those who are saved, including our loved ones. Therefore, let us sorrow not, as others who have no hope. Let us know that this Footprint is in the world through Christ and through Christ we will be in eternity.

“God has not Cast away his people, Israel”

Romans 11:1 ¶I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,

3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.

4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

If I could Tell One Thing!

If I could tell one thing, just one, what would it be?  If I could speak to anyone in the world who would it be? If my life depended on telling that one thing, would I care if everyone else were against me? My friends, let me say, If I could tell one thing, just one to anyone in the world and if my life depended on it, would I care if everyone were against me and that message?  This is, of course, a hard question! For there is no way to really project oneself into such a position, except, as I am, so believe I that this is the case, in some respects.

My life does depend on that very matter. For the LORD God who has saved me, guided me, corrected me, and still loved me in spite of my faults and sins, has laid such a burden upon this soul. It goes beyond the flesh, reaching into the Spirit and soul, divided such by the Word of God and the Spirit who has anointed me to speak and bring that one thing.

I speak to those I dare say now, that ‘anyone in the world’ regularly. This anyone is you! Yes, that is right, you are that one, but in this case that one becomes two, then three, and so on. All because of God’s grace who has blessed our efforts in a small way. Those who gather, for instance, on our Saturday night broadcasts and on our Tues shows, make up those as well. Those who are the ones, I would speak to! They gather to fellowship, listen, learn, and hear the Word of God, preparing for what is to come. No one who gathers are perfect, they are just people that find themselves in the same boat. Ones who need God. Let me say this, my friends, have my heart, feel my love for you right now. It comes from the agape of God, whom has saved me and taught me this love. That one thing, my friend is this:

Isaiah 66:1  ¶Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
2  For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

The LORD, blessed be his name, who has made all things, his sovereign work continues in the earth. You cannot build a house to contain this God, nor make a place for him to rest! For he has made all things, including us! My friend, this one word I want you to know right now is this, “to this man will the LORD our God look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at his word.” The word ‘poor’ here means humble or meek and came to a special connection with those faithful ones who were being abused, taken advantage of by the rich. It was this that Jesus spoke to in the beatitudes, for the ‘poor in spirit’, ‘theirs is the kingdom of God.’  This word poor in the Hebrew comes from a primitive root word that comes with the idea of ‘looking down or browbeating’. Those who spend time afflicting people who faithfully seek the LORD and look into his Word and ‘tremble’ at Gods word. The word ‘contrite’ is translated from the Hebrew ‘nakeh’ and means ‘stricken or smitten’.  Even our LORD was ‘stricken and smitten of God.’

Zeph 2:3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.
Matthew 5:3  ¶Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4  Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5  Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Moreover, these are those who in the midst of the troubles that are all around them, consider the ‘Word of God’ as we know the ‘bible to be’, as the true Word. It is Gods Word, Holy, True, faithful, and a Word not to be taken lightly. It is these people who hear the Word, and upon listening and receiving the Word, tremble at this Word. The Hebrew word here ‘Trembleth’ means ‘trembling, fearful, afraid’. When they hear the Word, immediately the Spirit of God brings the Word of God to their heart where they know it is God’s Word. It is not a Word spoken by a person, but the Word of God. They ‘tremble at it’, knowing that what God says, he means, in the course of this, they seek to do what Gods Word tells them. This in essence is what the ‘fear of the LORD’ is, as Paul said, “knowing the terror of the LORD, we persuade men.”  And again, the “fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.” It is that fear and the understanding that comes with it which prompts these people to conform their lives to what God commands. As they do this, literally applying Gods Word to their lives, which brings consternation and ridicule from others who see this as ludicrous! It is that Word here of which Isaiah speaks, Gods Word. That word, matter, or commandment, which God has spoken to us. It is then, these who God looks upon, Those who tremble at HIS Word, which in turn brings about change in behavior according to what God has spoken. As these individuals do this, those around them are saying, “this is absurd, laughable, idiotic, preposterous nonsense believing in an ancient God that no longer exists. Everyone knows the bible is outdated, God is love, everyone will go to heaven, after all there is no hell. We can do what we want to do!”.  Isaiah then brings a Word of comfort, those who considered Gods word and followed it, those who ‘trembled at his word’ and were ‘hated, ridiculed, and cast out for his names sake’ these would be vindicated by the LORD himself. For when He appears, the truth would be known and the LORD would bring them joy and victory while those who persecuted them would be ashamed.

Isaiah 66:5  ¶Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

In this though, let us not forget, the biggest ones to oppose our LORD were the ones who knew the original Word, studied it, taught it in the synagogues, and thought they were holy. It was these who the LORD came to, ‘His own, and they did not receive him.’ But there were others, out of the synagogue, the church so to speak, that did receive the LORD and what he said. To these, the LORD gave the ‘power to become the sons of God.’

The Beginning!

John 1:11  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
John 1:12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

It was here the LORD warned them that he had ‘come in his Father’s name’ and had rejected him, but ‘another shall come in his own name and ye will receive’ him.  This follows the same Word that Isaiah spoke in the chapter above, i.e. Is 66: 3b-4. These are those who have chosen their own ways over the LORD’S ways, their soul delights in their abominations,  i.e. their vile and disgusting ways that are before Him. Because they delight in these things the LORD will ‘choose their delusions’ and will ‘bring their fears upon them’. He does this because the LORD called to them, but they refused to listen, hear, and respond as did those who ‘trembled’ at his Word.  Even as he called, they continued to do those things which the LORD does not delight in, therefore, God will chose and do according as his judgment calls for! But for you, those who consider God’s Word and follows it, you will be vindicated before God.

We also see in 2 Thessalonians that those who reject the ‘love of the Truth’, i.e. Jesus Christ, the Father who sent him, and the love that prompted this, will find their own delusion in these last days. All of this, Is 66, John 5:43, and 2 Thess 2 follow the righteous judgment of God upon those who reject Gods Word and warning, along with his LOVE.

Isaiah 66:3b Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
4  I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

The Deception!

John 5:43  I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

It is in this that we who have received the LORD, so must we walk in him. Jesus said ‘if you love me, you will keep my commandments’, John 14:15.  Our Lord also said in Matt 7:24 that if a man hears these sayings of his and does them, then that man will be as a ‘wise man, which built his house upon a rock.’ When the storm comes, the house will not fall! The time is coming when the storm, in full force will come. Many in and out of the church today, built upon religious traditions and doctrines of men, will in fact, fail and fall!

Matthew 7:24  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Matthew 7:26  And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

Furthermore, this is why we must not let society, man, or any religious tradition that is patterned after the so called rudiments of the world and not after Christ in discipleship ruin or spoil our faith and cooperation of following the LORD in his Ways.

The Walk!

Colossians 2:6  As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7  Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8  Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10  And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

The LORD will indeed receive those who are faithful unto himself. In John we read that the Father’s house has many mansions or dwelling places. The LORD has gone to prepare a place for those who are faithful and follow his Word. He is coming again and when he does come again, he will receive the faithful unto himself! It is our eternal hope, that consideration in our heart and soul, nurtured by the Spirit of God and the Word which has brought us to the reward. That reward will not be heaven, nor all that heaven entails, but the fact that we will finally be with our LORD. We will be in His light and love for all eternity and all the former things will be erased and vanished away as this present world will be!

The Reception!

John 14:1  ¶Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2  In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
John 14:3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4  ¶And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know

In Revelation, the last chapter, John  is told by an angel or so he thought. But this was not an angel, but a ‘fellowservant’ and ‘of thy brethren the prophets’. He was one who did ‘keep the sayings of this book.’ The one thing he said to John, ‘Worship God.’

Revelation 22:9  Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

It is of utmost importance to understand this, we are to keep the Word! We are to read it, feed upon it, stand upon it, believe it, and to follow it! If one of the last things in Revelation is this, i.e. ‘keep the sayings of this book’ and to ‘worship God’, then we should follow this as well. If Jesus said ‘if you love me, keep my commandments’, then we should follow what he said. If Jesus said, ‘many will come to me on that day and say Lord, Lord, and I will say, I never knew you, depart from you that work lawlessness, Matt 7:22-24.’

He That Overcometh!
It this that we know will come, the reward, the holy city, new Jerusalem, which will come down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. It is here that God’s tabernacle will be with men. God will be our God and we will be his Son’s and Daughter’s, a unique people unto the LORD our God, even forever. God will personally wipe away all tears from your eyes. As you understand what has come and at what cost, all the things of the former life will vanish as you are swallowed up in the LOVE of God. You will not see sorrow, crying, pain, death, or any of the former things, they are gone. All things, saith the LORD, are made new. These words saith our God, are ‘faithful and true’. There is a home, a hope, a reward, a place for you in God’s kingdom to come. Make sure your there, seek the LORD with all your heart, mind, and soul. He knows where you are, who you are, and what you are going through! All these things, your brethren in the world have gone through as well, so rejoice that you are counted worthy to suffer for his names sake. Be blessed my friends, in the LORD God.
The Reward!

Revelation 21:2  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6  And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

The Watchmen

The Watchmen
A Psalm
By the Watchman Dana G Smith

The wind blows, wafting gently over the hills,
past the prairie, onto the stand of pines.
In the distance, these pines stand aloft, looking forward,
standing strong on the cleft of the rocks.
Here on these sheer peaks, they look on as watchmen,
greeting the winds, holding back the sway of the gentle breezes.

The watchmen, erect on the tower, look over the prairie.
All is well, they seem to speak, settle down, and turn away.
The wind grows, gentle at first, then shifting more violently,
howling and screaming torments at the watchmen,
these look on, facing the fury at its peak.

These watchmen, though, give ear to its cries,
losing ground to the force so strong, bending not a lot, just a little.
Then, looking again, out over the prairie, they announce “all is well.”
These watchmen turn again and look out,
this time the force of the wind is stronger, more fury than ever,
its voice howling threats at the watchmen on the cliffs above.

Watchmen, though strong, some give way, lost in the fierce fray,
in this fight, roots give way, to this foe that does not stall.
The battle wages on, the wind grows, the rain join forces,
then hail, with all the fury of hell itself, moves into the battle.
The watchmen begin to lose ground, many seem to be lost,
on this day the fighting is tough, but alas, many are gone,
though looking strong outwardly, appearing as a fortress,
are uprooted and tossed, thrown to the wind,
for you see, these had no deep roots to keep them, none at all.

In the morning, quietness is over the battlefield,
the crispness of the air is so serene, while stillness pervades everywhere,
the sun reaches over its horizon, pulling up to survey the war torn scene.
Looking on from the cliff, is the posting of the watchmen,
damages can be seen, but look, some remain.

Wonder of wonders, glories of glory,
watchmen remain, not many, looking out from above,
strong as ever, watching for another tempest to pass their way,
these standing tall, tougher than ever, these had roots,
in the battle, these gave up no ground, they stood firm.
Praise God Almighty, these had roots, how about you?
