How Shall Israel Believe?
By the Watchman Dana G Smith
“Speaking of the end times, Israel, the believers, being united in one in Christ, this article speaks to the saving of Israel, and the time of the end. It cannot cover all prophetic events that will occur. This is only an overview of Israel, Ephraim, Believers, and the scriptures describing these times. It is just a beginning for you to take the task of studying further.”

Here where we live snow is moving in around us, Halloween is here, winter is almost here, leaves are on the ground with some still in trees. The fall harvest is gone and the feasts over. Soon we will gather up all the leaves and put them in a pile for destruction.
All the above are signs of the changing seasons, so too, Signs are all around us at the ‘changing times’ which are here. The time line of the LORD continues and for his glory alone do nations and peoples exist.
Thus, the ‘Moral Standards’ of the LORD God for all men, nations, and peoples have been issued since the beginning of time and the creation of man. Soon, these ‘moral standards’ will be there amidst the sons of men and they will be summoned to the Throne of Judgment at the Last Time.
But these standards are those decree’s of The LORD that govern nations and men. At some point they may violate what God allows and thus his judgment falls upon them.
Be certain, nations will be judged
Be certain, people will be judged
Be certain, the church will be judged
Thus we have concluded that all under sin and must agree with scripture which sayeth:
Romans 3:9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
It is this which we believe to the ‘saving of the soul’ found in Hebrews chapter ten and verse thirty-nine which we do hold to. It is why our Father, sent his son, Jesus Christ, that is, to save the world. For by ‘wisdom the world knew not God’ 1Cor 1:21 and it is that which we labor, to bring those who think they know truth and wisdom, but don’t, the real truth.
The Apostle Paul lets us in on wisdom concerning this. In order to believe in the Messiah Yeshua, Jesus Christ the Jews require a sign. When you go to a Jew, a supernatural sign is what would convince them. The Gentiles or Greeks, however, require wisdom. A person can work to prove with scripture and historical facts the authenticity of Christ Jesus. Thus they would believe. Of course in this, there are those who will not believe no matter what. Add to that that some of either persuasion may feel led to require more to believe.
1 Corinthians 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
But in this we can be certain, in order for them to believe, they have to hear, and in order for them to hear, they must hear it from someone, and in order for that to occur, that someone must be sent.
Romans 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 ¶For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
This is where we come to Israel of the last days and end times. In Daniel it says that ‘Michael’ will stand up for the ‘children of thy people’ and there ‘shall be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation’. This is the time when ‘Jacobs Trouble’ is in full swing. The land of Israel is facing many enemies. Jerusalem is surrounded and all nations are gathered. There is much here prophetically, but there will be a time when ‘Michael’ the Archangel of God will stand up to protect his people. This is where Mark says “except the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elects sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.” I believe these two scriptures point to the same time in Israel.
Mark 13:20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days
.
It also says “at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.”
Daniel 12:1 ¶And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Malachi talks about the children of Israel and the proud of the people who have been ‘stout’ against the LORD. They were proud and happy, working wickedness and did not think judgment would befall them, and even tempted God and thought this would not bring judgment. It is here that Malachi also records those who truly ‘feared the LORD’ and ‘spake often one to another’, it was to these the ‘LORD hearkened’ and ‘heard it’, and thus a book of ‘rememberance’ was written before him for ‘them that feared the LORD and that thought upon his name’. This is one reference to the book of remembrance, according to JFB, means; for them, for their advantage, against the day when those found faithful among the faithless shall receive their final reward. Calvin responds to this as “those makes the fearers of God to be those awakened from among the ungodly mass (before described) to true repentance; the writing of the book thus will imply that some were reclaimable among the blasphemers, and that the godly should be assured that, though no hope appeared, there would be a door of penitence opened for them before God.”
Malachi 3:13 ¶Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?
14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.
16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

But looking at Daniel again where ‘Michael’ stands up for his people who are written in book, this takes place in the future, during ‘Jacobs trouble’, the great tribulation and for that context, the ‘book’ would be the ‘book of life’.
Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works
.
It is before this time, however, that Israel who does not believe and has rejected the Messiah must come to believe. It is also here that I believe God is re-gathering all Israel, including Ephraim, the Northern tribes. These have been scattered in all nations and the Lord is gathering them to unite them in one in Israel. Ephraim, for his ‘seed shall become a multitude of nations’. In this gathering will come people from all over the earth, of the nations, who believe.
Gen 48:19 And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.
These people are Ephraim, who keep the commandments of God and the Faith and testimony of Yeshua.
Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
But it is these believers, Ephraim, who follow the LORD, in power according to Daniel, who will do ‘exploits’. Why? Because “the people that do know their God.” They will instruct many, bringing many to Christ in Israel by signs and wonders. This will convince the Jews, who will also see them keeping Gods commandments, and working in ‘signs and wonders’ in all holiness and dedication to the LORD. They will provide testimony and walk in the faith of Jesus Christ, just as the early church did. Along with that, many also will fall, by sword, by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, for many days. They shall fall to try them, to purge them, and to make them white, even to the end!
Daniel 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.
34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.
35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the end.
Thus we will see come out of Israel believers, Jews who did not formerly believe in Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha Massiach. Then the word of God will be fulfilled in Ezekiel, which says, “Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.”
Ezekiel 37:19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.
In Revelation we see the sealing of the Tribes of Israel. But further on we read of a great ‘multitude which no man could number’. All of whom “came out of great tribulation”.
Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
13 ¶And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
These words “great tribulation” are also found in the end time discourse given by Jesus in Matthew 24. It says of that time, before the end:
Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be
It is during the biggest upheaval in human history, that the LORD God will bring in multitudes of souls into his Kingdom. In the great tribulation, however, don’t get this mixed up with the ‘wrath of God’, that occurs after ‘war against the saints’ and Israel. The Destroyer will make war against both up and until the second coming. There will be only one group sealed and protected during that time, those who keep Gods commandments and the testimony of Yeshua.
Revelation 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
To all the saints it is also written how those living during that period overcame:
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
They Overcame by:
-by the blood of the Lamb
-by the word of their testimony
-loved not their lives unto the death
They were beheaded for:
-the witness of Jesus
-the word of God
-not worshipped the beast
-not worshipped his image
-neither received his mark upon their foreheads or in their hands
THEY LIVED
THEY REIGNED
With CHRIST A THOUSAND YEARS!
God is HOLY, Blessed be his Name Forever, For he alone, the LORD God, belongs glory and honor and to His Son, Jesus Christ, who is blessed forevermore, blessed be he who comes in the name of the LORD.
