Nwsltr-013110-The Beginning of Wisdom

The Beginning of Wisdom

“The wisdom that saves, through faith and love.” It is pure, from the Father, a wellspring of love and life through faith in Jesus Christ our LORD! But this wisdom gives us much more! Its end is neverending, its fruit is bountiful, and its endurance is endless! It is unique, lovely, pure, hopeful, and in God himself. It is above the world and cannot be touched by it, but it can touch the world without hope! For in itself, it is hope, it is love, being found in the “love of the truth”, “the only begotten Son of The Father, Jesus Christ the Lord of Glory, and in those who are the children of the MOST HIGH through him who has saved us. This is true, for He is in us! ”

Psalms 111:10  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Proverbs 1:7  ¶The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 9:10  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Wisdom:
According to ISBE, p 3089, on wisdom who quotes another author on the subject, Smend saying “the art of reaching ones end by the use of right means”. As we look at this description, we understand that for many, the art of being wise, usually comes with age. That is, learning from ones age, experiences, mistakes, and those things they do correct and with all this, having wisdom with experience. So that a ‘wise man’ is at his best in his old age! But in dealing with ‘religion’, we find that those who give acute attention and devotion to the things of God over the things of that which people give to the world, are those in scripture who are ‘wise’ and who seek ‘wisdom’!

Our Lord tells us the a ‘wise man’ is one who has heard the sayings of his and does them. He uses this in his teaching in Matthew 7, which is in the context of chapters from the beatitudes to the general directions he gives, such as this one ‘admonishing people to build their house upon a rock’. That rock, of course is Jesus Christ, his commandments, his words to those who would follow him. Thus, this is wisdom, not only to hear our Lord, but to listen, apply it to the heart and mind, then follow what he says to do!

Matthew 7:24  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock

:

The wisdom that we walk in is God’s wisdom, while we do have wisdom of the world, that is to do, live, and walk in the world, we are simply not of the world. Our desires are not the worlds desire, our motives are not of the worlds. And finally, we are of the ‘light’ and do not the things of the world, which in darkness is done, fulfilling the lusts of the flesh and the desires of the mind. In short, the wisdom of God, comes with not just what God is telling us to do, but with a Power to do that which he commands us to do! It is through this, that we are cleansed, by faith, through obedience, and the sprinkling of the blood of Christ Jesus. We had to be obedient and come to God by faith, for without this small amount of obedience with faith, it would of been impossible.

1 Corinthians 3:19  For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

We have come, first, unto to the Lord who has drawn us. It is now in him we are, and as such we do what he says. He leads us by his Spirit and in this, through his Spirit we are taught, led, empowered, comforted, and kept. But for men and women everywhere, the truth here is, the ‘wisdom’ of God is not understood by this world! But the true wisdom here is realizing that true wisdom lay in the LORD God who has saved us. It is in him we must be, it is his wisdom that has saved us, through the mystery of the power of Christ in the Cross, being baptized by the covenant of his blood. A permanent deliverance that as believers we can rejoice in, if we faint not and do not give up!

The danger we have in this world, especially in the church is to revel in our own glorious wisdom. We must be careful for the flesh gets puffed up easily and must be courted with care. For when our own wisdom is puffed, then cometh pride, and pride, when it is fulfilled in us, brings us to a fall. It is not us, but the power of God within us, his Spirit and his word in our hearts that bring us to fruitfulness. Our obedience to him, seeking his wisdom and knowledge, by this, we walk on that path of the pearl of wisdom. For by this wisdom, we find the light of salvation and truth! Jesus said to certain Jews which believed on him, “if ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed, and ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free-John 8:31-32″. Here we find more wisdom, through His word, continuing therein, only then are we considered his disciples and through this, we shall ‘know the truth and that truth shall make us free.” Free from blindness, free from death of sin, free from the wrath of God, and much more be the benefits of knowing this God through is Son Jesus Christ.

In Proverbs, Wisdom is seen as a woman. This metaphor is brought to teach us the devotion and love we must have to this ‘wisdom’, which is in itself, a word for our God. For he is wisdom, and in our seeking wisdom, we seek Him, his word, and thus we find this wisdom. We are not to forget her, nor forsake her, but we are to preserve her and love her. In doing this, she, that is, ‘wisdom’ will keep us. In all we do, this wisdom is what we must seek, get, and get understanding of. By this wisdom, promotion, honour, grace, glory, and life are ours.

Proverbs 4:5  Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
6  Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
7  Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
8  Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
9  She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
10  Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.

Today, as believers we find the true wisdom, in and of our God, who is the Father, and of Christ who is our savior. “In whom are hid” says the Apostle Paul “all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge”. This is what we need to know, that what we know, of our God, our Father, and our Christ, is ‘wisdom and knowledge’ and this is not found in men nor mens wisdom, nor the worlds wisdom! But there are men today that sound so wise and bring to you such wisdom and knowledge that with enticing words try to beguile you. These are those who do not our God and our Father, let alone his only begotten son Jesus Christ. The knowledge and wisdom that saves, delivers, and brings you into his kingdom are only found in Him! Period! “Therefore,” Paul says, or because of these things, “as ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord so walk ye in him, rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware, lest any man spoil you through Philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ-Col 2:2-8.”

This is what today we must do, having found Christ, as Paul speaks to the Colossians, we must walk in him. There are so many deceivers, philosophies, teachings, new age, devil delusions, and satanic snares that we must find the wisdom and knowledge of God in Christ and find it only one place. That is in our devotion to, our faith in, and our fellowship with this God our Father and our Savior, his son, Jesus Christ. We must place our heart, soul, mind, and dedication firmly in him, not looking to the left nor the right. Not giving place to delusions, deceptions, vain deceits, vain rudiments of the world, fancy philosophy of men, nor man made religious deceptions. It must, that is, our foundation, must again be firmly in Christ our LORD and nowhere else. In prayer, in fellowship, in fastings, in his Word, in obedience, in truth, and in love.

We find a good example of ‘wisdom’ and her children in the section found in Luke 7. The generation that saw Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha Massiach had many who rejected him. There were others who knew who he was. Of such was a woman whose sins were many. She knew, not saying a word to the true LORD of Glory, that he was ‘wisdom’, ‘honor’, ‘salvation’, and much more. She wept, kissed his feet, wiped them with her hair after her tears made his feet wet. She then poured alabaster ointment over him. Jesus saw a women who was in sorrow over her sins, and one who knew him. She knew he was LORD and sought him as such. Yet she did not say forgive me, she said all this with tears and action. Her heart spoke loud and clear. The religious Pharisee saw a wicked woman and was appalled by it. He had no love, no pity, no compassion for her. The woman loved much and had faith. In this, Jesus says to her that her ‘faith has saved her’. She knew who he was, came to him, weeping, loving, kissing, pouring oil on his feet. All this in spite of a crowd. All this in spite of the religous who would mock her and see her as filthy. All this because in the midst of all the people, Jesus stood out as the LORD of Glory, the Messiach Yeshua who was to come. She knew, she came, she had faith, she loved him. He forgave her, loved her, and filled her heart.

Luke 7:34  The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
35  But wisdom is justified of all her children.
36  ¶And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to meat.
37  And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,

Luke 7:38  And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
39  Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
40  And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
41  There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
42  And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
43  Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
44  And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
45  Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
46  My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
47  Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
48  And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
49  And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
50  And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

In conclusion, this is the reason why there is ‘wisdom’. A ‘wisdom’that is from God, in God, and given to us through Jesus Christ, His word, His Spirit, and is driven by love and faith. The main objective of all this is people, i.e., souls of lost people, hopeless people, amid a world of carelessness and hopelessness. Souls of people who in the worlds vain wisdom and knowledge cannot find the truth nor the wisdom and love of God. But in Gods wisdom, which brings forth salvation to all men, also delivers to these who call upon him by faith, a relationship of love with God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. A love that cannot be understood until you find this ‘wisdom’ that saves!

The Abundant LIFE of Christ Jesus

The Abundant LIFE of Christ Jesus
“What does it mean to have an ‘abundant life’?
Here are pertinent truths on this saying that many misuse and misdirect Christians in their walk for Him!
By the Watchman Dana G Smith

I am writing this week about the ‘abundant life’, one that many in America seem to know so well. Or do they? When speaking to this issue will I take rank and file against those who promote the doctrine that many top Evangelical leaders teach? No, I shall not! They have their reward, I do quote here something for your first thought regarding this issue!

Psalms 50:16  ¶But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?
17  Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
18  When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.
19  Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
20  Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother’s son.
21  These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.
22  Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
23  Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

In the Psalm above we find God saying to the wicked in essence the following: “what right do you have to declare my statutes and to speak my covenant in your mouth as if it was yours to take?” Further he says, “you hate instruction and cast my words behind you!” Now, of course this Psalmist was not talking to this generation, or was he? Who is the wicked he is speaking too! The wicked gentile nations that surrounded Israel would not of taken in their mouths the ‘covenant of the LORD’, not at all. Then the only one here that is addressed, is Israel herself, who would take the covenant of the Lord in their mouths, but would not receive instruction! Lets go further with this, Jesus spoke this to all those crowds around him:

Matthew 7:22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

There will be many who say they know the Lord, but the Lord doesn’t know them. Why? They are workers of iniquity, or people who follow ‘lawlessness’. Well that pretty much describes American Christianity and most of the westernized world today. Lose grace, lawlessness, and professional religiosity gone amuck in the guise of real true discipleship! It is a sham, period! But who am I that you should listen to this? Well, I shall let you know this, by the Word of the Lord, these things shall not stand, nor shall they be regarded on the day of judgment. The warning is staunch here! The Psalmist says it like this, to him that will order his life, his conversation aright, that’s right, aright. Here the people who this psalmist addresses knows the right way of keeping the law, that is walking in the ordinances and statutes of God. Oh, brother, there I did it, I mentioned Law and ordinances, that will really kill your enthusiasm now won’t it? But it is the Lord who called those people workers of ‘lawlessness’. It is here that the words of the Psalmist come to ring true, this generation must repent and order their lives, the way they do things according to the Lord God and his commandments. Oh no, I did it again, this time I mentioned commandments! Get the picture here? Or maybe your one of the those who have thrown out the ten commandments, the feasts, the true sabbath, the beattitudes, the teachings of the Apostles, and also disregard the word ‘C OMMANDMENTS’in the New Testament? All of which the Lord himself kept, the Apostles kept, the early church kept, and your expected to do so also! But then, you don’t believe this do you? Or do you? Wait a minute you say, this was on the ‘abundant life’, where is that at in all this?

Psalms 50:23  Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

Now let us consider all this in the light of ‘abundant life’, okay? Lest you think I have fallen off the wagon of provincial discourse regarding Torah law and you see me standing beside Moses pushing you to keep over 600 commandments of God through the flesh! Now let me be perfectly clear here, perfectly clear okay! There is life, the life is in God’s only Begotten Son, whom we call Jesus Christ in the english, and Yeshua Ha Massiach ‘his Hebrew name’.

Before we go on, let me give you one Word here that is important regarding our Savior and the words he spoke, okay? It is this, “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life.” Our Lord had just finished a discourse to his followers and others around him concerning ‘eating his flesh and drinking his blood.’ This is found in John 6:54-63 a partial context of it. This was abhorrent to the jews and to his disciples when they heard this and Jesus asked them “Doth this offend you?” Well it did, of course, this was nothing they expected to hear! In the course of this, Jesus told them that the “living Father hath sent me and I live by the Father, so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me-Jn 6:57″. This astounded t hem, offended them, and many went away because of it and followed him no more! Yet, our Lord did tell them in the same context what he was talking about! He said flatly in John six and verse fifty eight, “this is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead, he that eateth of this bread shall live forever.” He said to them, this is not like your fathers who [literally] ate manna in the wilderness and are dead, no this bread, myself am that manna from heaven, you must eat of me, devour me, but not like your fathers ate the manna, no! Then he says “my words are Spirit and are life.” They must devour what he says and do it. Eat of his words, eat of what he offers, and let the Spirit words come into your soul, devour them eat of them and let them bring you life. This was something they could not understand!

John 6:63  It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Later on in John ten Jesus speaks on being the door to the sheepfold, he is the shepherd. It is in this context that we find one of the most misunderstood phrases today, especially in American Christianity! It is used and mostly misused to the advantage of those who are manipulating scripture to their own advantage. The trouble here is, many in the church like it so! The want to hear this, so they follow these men and women, falling headlong into this delusion that fits so well in America, that is, up till now!

Here is that phrase which today has come to mean that Christ came and died for you so you can be rich, at ease in Zion, living in the covenant of God [their version of it anyway], and never have a care.

John 10: 10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

When Jesus was on the cross he died for your house payments, your car payments, your retirement, your ability to be debt free, you freezer full, your plate filled with the finest foods, and your lifestyle rich and favored! WRONG! This is the carnal, Laodacian type of interpretation, because of this, the church is ‘wretched, poor, blind, and naked’! Now let me be clear, I am not saying your to be poor, nor am I saying you cannot be rich, I am saying we have totally lost our minds and hearts in this matter and the delusion has clouded the minds and hearts of millions of Christians today!

Here is the context of the scripture above! He relates being the door to enter in, be saved, and able to go in and out to find pasture! He also says he is the good shepherd and has given his life for the sheep. He warns of the thief who comes to kill, steal, and destroy, which he does, it is in this that he says “I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.” He is putting this in the same course as ‘shepherd’, speaking to the ‘sheep’. What would such an animal think would be great for them, that is, what would be an abundant life? For one would be safety, not to get eaten by wolves. Two would be not to have a shepherd lead you in a direction where there is no water or pasture. Three is have such a reliable shepherd that he would bring you to safe pastures so you can graze in the sun, be warm, be safe, and all the cares of your life eased! It would be heaven, for that sheep. No more worries about getting eaten either by wolves or men who like mutton!

John 10:9  I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
11  I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
12  But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
13  The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
14  I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15  As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

Jesus says it best here in Luke twelve! Take note of this context of verses 23 through 38! It is from our Saturday night study “What is life?” The poignant and to the point verse here is, “the LIFE is MORE than MEAT and the BODY is MORE than RAIMENT.” Yes the shepherd will take care of us, but our goal is not the end all of food, meat, clothes, houses, trucks, and all life has to offer. This is ‘covetousness’ and this is what preachers are causing when they misuse this verse and others to bring such carnal tripe to the teachings of Christ Jesus! No where does it say we are to take scripture and lay it out, pushing it before God that we will get rich in this life! The truth to all this is found in verses 29-31 which says in essence do not seek what you will eat, what you will drink, or what you will wear or worry, nor be doubtful. All these things the gentiles, the nations themselves seek after and your Father knows you have need of these things!
But rather, our Lord says “seek ye the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you.” The whole point is found in verse 34 which says “for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Our hope, source, and Father is in heaven who loves us. Our hope or source is not the world nor its things! We are to be girded about, watching, waiting, working for Him, doing as Our LORD say too, read verses 36 to 38, here is the blessing! To be doing HIS will, when he comes, yea, that will be ‘abundant life’, that will be a ‘blessing’.

Luke 12:23  The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
24  Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
25  And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
26  If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
27  Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28  If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
29  And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30  For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31  But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
32  Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
33  Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
34  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
35  Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
36  And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
37  Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
38  And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

In conclusion, let me say that our LORD was about Life, redemptive power both to enable us to walk in him today and be free from the power of sin and darkness and to be His when he comes. Our fullest abundant life is and will be in the ‘next life’ with him! Today, this life can have purpose, and in itself can be abundant, but that abundance does not mean carnal abundance per se. For many believers around the world are suffering for the cause of and in the context of carrying their own crosses for Jesus Christ. Many have lost their lives, yet the carnal abundance was never theirs. But if we do have such abundance, let us draw near to God and do as he says, let our hearts truly be on Him and not on the abundance which has nearly cost the church in America her soul! If you truly want to have that ‘abundant life’ that Christ said, then ‘take up your cross and follow me, saith the LORD’. It is this road of carrying the cross that you will know Christ, as Paul said of this road:

Philippians 3:9  ¶And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
10  That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
11  If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
12  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
13  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

You must find that ‘abundant life’ in Christ. To walk this path you must have the purpose, calling, and faith in your Lord to lead you to that place of ‘his abundance’ for you! Our Eternal hope lays in what Christ did for us beyond this temporal world we now live in. For if in this life only, as Paul says, ‘we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.’ Take your eyes off the physical, for life is more than food and the body than raiment! Lift up and catch the vision today!

1 Corinthians 15:19  If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

The Nations that Fought God

Nwsltr011710-The Nations that Fought God

“The string of deceit that shall bring the nations to fight the God of Gods”

by The Watchman Dana G Smith

Psalms 2:1  ¶Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2  The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3  Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4  He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5  Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

“The String of Deceit is a strong cord, once tied, it is hard to become undone!”
The string, that is, a sequentially ordered set of things or events or ideas in which each successive member is related to the preceding. Such is the rise of the wickedness and deceit today. The events are set, set in deceit itself, and comes from it. It is deceit, that is, deception in the highest order of darkness and set up in the nations. It is people, who are themselves in the set order itself. For they become the deception, as one taken in a snare. This deception so subtle shall arise itself and will be an ‘illusionary feat’, that many will consider magical, spiritual, supernatural, and a miracle. It will be the people who rise to consider the words, power, and feat of the darkness that shall arise at this time.

We are in that time as I write this. The feat, the string of deceit is now being woven, in its purpose and will be completed soon. The events themselves are purposely set by those in dark places who see themselves the Gods of this world.  First let me state that those who see this will disavow the thing of which you believe is going on. They shall be but a “false witness”, they cannot speak truth, but it cometh forth to soothe those who do not believe such deceit can survive. You shall ask them and they, with smooth words, shall deceive many! The press shall not see it, the news, those in authority will not behold it, for they will believe the “false witness” of those sent to deceive with smooth stones!

Proverbs 12:17  ¶He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.

It is precisely what the nations and peoples desire. They want to believe they are without sin! They want to believe all is well! They want to believe man is able to bring a ‘Utopian’ paradise of God hood here on earth. They want to believe that all religions bring you to God. They want to disavow the God of Abraham, God of Jacob, and the God of Isaac. They want to disavow the God, our savior Jesus Christ. They want to throw off all morality and say all is well! They will love, throwing off the ‘true love of God’, the love of the truth; for they will follow the ‘bread of deceit’ offered by the ‘false witness’ who feedeth them!

Proverbs 20:17  ¶Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.

It is the people, even God’s own, as Israel did, who will accept these arrows of deceit. It is the nations, all languages, tongues, and belief that will accept the bread of this deception. For they have chosen not to retain God in their knowledge, they have chosen the fruits of wickedness and the reigns of deceit. Howbeit, they know the penalty thereof, yet, pride keeps them in the path of rebellion. Their hearts are filled with blackness, and their conscience seared as with a hot iron against God and his anointed.

Romans 1:28  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29  Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30  Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31  Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32  Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

It will be to this mass that the ‘Son of perdition’ has come. I say has come, he is here now, his revealing, soon to come; I believe. Nevertheless, the ‘strings of deceit’, those events all sequential, tied in order one to another must be accomplished by those in power of darkness. When the last one is finished, it shall bring in the one to come. He shall soothe the deceits by flatteries, and shall arise in darkness as the light of the world. The world will accept his ‘bread of deceit’, for it will be sweet as first, but later will bite as an adder. He will arise with power, and with his deception, power shall unfold to create the supernatural deception, many shall follow his ways, for they see God! They see supernatural miracles, signs, and wonders! None shall convince them it is not so! Many of today’s events in America and the world are tied to this deceiver and his arrival. But having arrived, his revelation, is not in order to be shown as yet.

As the LORD has spoken through the Prophet Jeremiah concerning Israel, so too, to this generation. As with Israel, so with America, in deception, in arrogance, and in destruction. As with Israel, so with the nations, in deception, in arrogance, and in destruction. For the people bend their tongues like bow for lies. They refuse to be strong for truth, instead bedding themselves with wicked ways. These are a people that do not know the LORD!

Be warned oh fair generation, the one to whom much was given, for in your vain knowledge and increase of perplexity, shall you know truth? Yea, every one of thy neighbors follow deceit, they speak untruth, and do not know me. For lies become truth and iniquity is relished as the law of the day. In the midst of this habitation, deceit dwells and flourishes, they have convinced themselves so! Because of the sweetness of their deceit, knowledge of the LORD is far from them. Yea the nations and the peoples have turned from me, the LORD, “I would of healed them.” But alas, they are rioting against me and have turned up as enemies in the camp of the LORD. Out of the midst the dark one shall do deceits and wonders shall reveal that this one is God who is not God. For this, the LORD shall visit them, in distress, in turmoil, and in perplexity, they shall not escape.

Jeremiah 9:3  And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD.
4  Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders.
5  And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity.
6  Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the LORD.
7  Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?
8  Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.
9  Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

The people fed on deception and have turned against me, raging against the LORD and His anointed saying: “let us cast their cords far from us.” The nations shall gather themselves, taking counsel together against the God of Gods, yet the LORD shall have them in derision, ‘they shall laugh in contempt against the LORD as they imagine themselves to be God, raising above the LORD Almighty. Even this, shall be their end, for they will gather together against the LORD, the nations that have fed on deceit, and have eaten at the table of deception. For the nations who were deceived and the deceiver who led them, shall be brought low and that by great power.

Zephaniah 3:8  ¶Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

Revelation 20:8  And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Joel 3:12  Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
13  Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
14  Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
15  The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
16  The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

What does the eye of darkness want to bring about in the nations and the peoples themselves through deceit? Lawlessness, the deceiver shall bring in lawlessness, but yet will have his own law. He shall break the Law of God, the commandments of the LORD, and the Holiness of the God of our Salvation through deceits among the people. Yet the people, having given themselves over to the lawlessness themselves shall not recover, but by the mighty hand of God’s own son, Jesus Christ, through repentance. In the midst of deception, yet, God shall save those who call upon him in truth and with a whole heart. In the midst of darkness, mercy shall be found, but only in the Mercy of the God of all Gods. It is that lawlessness that the people of God have been deceived into following. It is the ‘bread of deceit’ to this generation as it was to Israel. It will be a nation, a people, and nations who do not know God, nor keep his Word, nor follow his truth, nor walk in the ways of holiness. They are a lawless generation, who will follow the ‘Son of lawlessness, the Son of Perdition, the deceiver’. And they shall come, saying “LORD, LORD”, but I will not know them!

Matthew 7:22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

He that has wisdom and understanding, hear what the Spirit sayeth to the people!

Revelation 11:17  Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
18  And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
19  And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

He that watcheth and waiteth, understand and know this, for the LORD sayeth, “Behold, I come quickly and my reward is with me, to reward to every man as his works shall be.”

Revelation 19:11  ¶And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15  And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16  And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
17  And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

Again, “I Come Quickly”, this phrase is used Six times in Revelation with a word variant in the phrase. Nevertheless, I come quickly, these three words are used in all the phrases. The message to us today, “I COME  QUICKLY”.

Revelation 2:5  Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Revelation 2:16  Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
Revelation 3:11  Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
Revelation 22:7  Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
Revelation 22:12  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Revelation 22:20  ¶He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

“Light Shall Dispel the Increasing Darkness”

In the midst of the horrific darkness enveloping peoples and nations, there shall be a ‘light’ which shall dispel darkness. Along time ago the ‘darkness saw light’, at the coming of the Savior Jesus Christ into this world! Now Again, darkness pervades the structures of modern civilization and ‘light’ shall again pierce the darkness.

Revelation 18:23  And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

Matthew 24:14  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Ephesians 5:8  For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

Nwsltr010310-Early Americana
‘Recalling the Toil of the Grandfathers and the work of God’

by the Watchman Dana G Smith
Keywords: Americana, labor, Sun, toil, faith, salvation, truth, Jesus Christ
Words:1784

My Grandfather on my mothers side lived in the state I now live in. He was Pennsylvania Dutch, a Farmer. His background was from a certain religious group that did not follow him to this part of the country. He never talked about it much, suffice it to say, His background was a strict one, I believe. He and grandmother were married not out of love, but of necessity; many during that era did the same thing. It was a matter of survival and a woman needed a man, as well, a man needing a good strong woman to bear a family and keep the house, and more! For Grandmother had three children, two girls and one boy. But she also kept house, cooked, planted the garden, harvested, canned, feed chickens, plucked them, and found time to play cards, sew, and be with the family.

It was a hard life. For us growing up a visit to the farm meant animals, a long country drive, and we were not impressed with the fresh milk, fresh eggs, fresh butter, fresh cream, meat from their own farm, and hand sewn quilts. Today, though, I appreciate it and realize the hard work that went into it. For my grandparents, work was the function to do in order to stay alive. They worked on the farm from 4 am to dusk, seven days a week. Grandad had beets, alfalfa, and other crops, along with standard farm fare of animals.

Sunday, though, they were duty bound to do chores as the animals did not take a day off from eating. But soon after the chores of the morning, they were off to the church. We were Methodists. At an early age I learned the life of my grandparents, but never really understood the hard work and persistence they had developed in their lives. My mother and siblings were raised impoverished, working in the garden at an early age, up till the time they moved away.

It was a life that I recall as early Americana, for both my grandparents were settlers in this neck of the woods, coming over in covered wagons. They lived near and came to know the Indians that lived a stone throw away across the river from them. It was early America, late 1800′s and nearing the 1900′s when things would begin to change drastically.

I am reminded of this scripture in Ecclesiastes, that tells us to “go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart, for God now accepteth thy works.” These verses tell the reader to “live joyfully with thy wife, all the days of thy vanity”, for sayeth the writer, “this is your portion that comes from the labor you toil in under the sun.” Further the writer says that whatever your hand finds to do, “do it with all thy might”. At the end of this wisdom is a morsel that tells us the threat of the grave, a very present truth, both in the times of the writing of Ecclesiastes and today. The difference today is the ‘salvation’ we have through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Ecclesiastes 9:7  Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
8  Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.
9  Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.
10  Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

In retrospect, I believe, today we live fast, furious, unthankful, have no concept of hard toil as our forefathers, and are adrift in a sea of things that are vain and do us no good. My grandfather was happy at what he did. Yes, he had bad days, but many a time when I was with him, I shall remember. He was a small man, but tough. He was a thin man, but could work anyone twice his size under the table. No one gave him what he had, he toiled long and hard, sweat, blood, and tears to just survive starvation and hard winters. His life was not concerned with the United nations, the European union, the International bankers, one world currency, or even credit. He paid for his crops yearly. He bought what he needed with cash. He had a farm by debt, but that was it. He also would not hesitate to grab his gun and shoot you if you messed around with his farm, his family, or himself. He did not expect anyone to give him a thing. He did not live by waiting for government handouts. It was a different time.

Grandad lived during the times of intense poverty and depression in America. He saw many things, but today, I thank God he doesn’t see what this nation has become. Again here, I am reminded of a portion of scripture in Ecclesiastes. There is a work of God, and whatever God does, can man undo? No, of course not; although many think they can. There has been a time of prosperity for this nation and for many of the people in it. We have live above all the realm of plush prosperous and utterly vain times. Times of gluttonous and selfish pride, the me generation. The pleasure generation, and one that does not understand the basics of survival or how to do it as Grandpa and Grandma knew how to do. Their generation is past now and the torch is upon us, but alas, we have lost it.  The America you know today is foreign to the one of the early Americana.  The times coming, though, will be utter days of adversity, and this article is pointed to help you understand that what God does, no man or woman or nation can undo. We have lived “in the day of prosperity and were joyful”, but in the coming “day of adversity consider, that God has set one against the other so that man should find nothing after him.”  It is God who will live on, not men, not women, not nations, not worlds, and surely not the creation itself. Only God is eternal and only he is to be glorified, lifted up, and followed. Considering this, There is a God, the Father, who has delivered his only begotten Son into the world to be mocked, tortured, and crucified for the sins of men. This is our hope, our only hope! Surely, “consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?” Answer, surely not man! For all is vanity, except that which concerns God and his works!

Ecclesiastes 7:13  Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?
14  In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.
15  All things have I seen in the days of my vanity: there is a just man that perisheth in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man that prolongeth his life in his wickedness.

I think about my Grandfather, in fact both of them; so different, but both from early americana. Our roots have been traced back to the beginning of this nation by our family before me. Roots, but what are roots if the nation to which they were buried in, toiled in, and bled for, is no more? It is vanity, surely? The conclusion to this article is the conclusion to your life; after all that is said and done; after all you have worked for, striven for, bled for, looked too, and sought to accomplish, what is the final solid word of wisdom? What is that thing to which you have aspired for? What is it that your life meant? For whom? For what reason? Finally, to what end?

The whole truth of everything for this year and next for all of us facing the adversity to come is this:

“¶Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”

And again: “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable”

For “Christ is risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept, for as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive; but every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming”.

This is not vanity, for this too is the work of God, to save those that believe in and  keep the testimony of Jesus Christ, as they keep his word in their hearts unto obedience. What God hath done, it cannot be undone, so my friend, Hope thou in God!

1 Corinthians 15:19  If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
20  ¶But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21  For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23  But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

Ecclesiastes 12:11  The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.
12  And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
13  ¶Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
