The Eye: The Lamp of the Soul
INTRO:
Evil eye- Some information on the ‘evil eye’, traditions, talismans, ect are nothing I recommend, I am under the power, blood, and protection of Yeshua ha Massiach. But the following helps you to understand the powerful aspect of the ‘evil eye’. Its history dates back to the Torah.
Man has looked for help in dealing with evil. He has looked beyond the Lord God, refusing his protection and even today fails to understand the true Power of the conquering might of Jesus Christ.
At almost every stages of human history, man has looked for the assistance of magic objects called talismans to defy evil forces. Talismans with letters, numbers or abstract signs have survived to this day. Even the modern religions with a single god have their own symbols
Even today many celebrates used ‘evil eye’ jewelry and talismans to ward off the ‘evil eye’.
An ad from a website promoting such protection says this:

Kabbala and the Evil Eye:
The negative energies of jealousy and envy emanate through the eyes—which gave rise to the very vivid and very ancient term, the Evil Eye.
Teaches that colors have specific frequencies and energies. Red, for example, is the color of danger. By binding a Red String to ourselves in a very specific manner, we shield ourselves against the dangerous negativity that might be directed our way—a spiritual vaccine against the destructive forces of the Evil Eye.
Jewish Tradition and the Evil Eye:
The Evil Eye (Ayin ha-Ra) is alleged to be able to harm or cast a curse on a person.
The Evil Eye is traditionally believed to be the reason for sickness, tragedy, and pain in the world. Nothing is spared from the evil influences of the eye. The most frequent cause of harm from the Evil Eye is considered to be jealousy. Rabbis warned people against unnecessary flaunting of wealth and admiration to avoid resentment from others.
But many strong beliefs did and still do exist amongst the Jewish community, none more so than those in relation to the Evil Eye which in different sectors of the community represent different things. Many Rabbis have their own concepts of the Evil Eye; some Talmudic rabbis conceded it as, a certain individual who could, at a mere glance, turn mankind into a heap of bones. In broad terms the Evil Eye is frightening and something which most Jews live in awe of with parents of newborn babies going to great lengths to protect their child. Hence the practice of tying a red ribbon or string to an infant’s crib or in some instances their underwear to ensure safekeeping from bad vibes.

A widespread beliefs not only in the Jewish community, but throughout the world, is that demons or evil spirits are especially prolific and present during times of joy and life-cycle events such as wedding. Many wedding customs, with Jewish customs being no exception, have at least a part of their origins in an attempt to ward off the envy and rage of the spirit world and the belief that the bride needed protection again the eyein hara (the evil eye).
Hamsa and the Evil Eye:
The name “hamsa” comes from the Hebrew word “hamesh,” which means five. “Hamsa” refers to the fact that there are five fingers on the talisman, though some also believe it represents the five books of the Torah. Sometimes it is called the Hand of Miriam, after Moses’ sister.
In Islam, the hamsa is called the Hand of Fatima, in honor of one of the daughters of the Prophet Mohammed. Some say that in Islamic tradition the five fingers represent the Five Pillars of Islam
Hamsas always have three extended middle fingers, but there is some variation to how the thumb and pinky fingers appear. Sometimes they are curved outwards as in the example shown above, other times they are just significantly shorter than the middle fingers. Whatever their shape, the thumb and pinky finger are always symmetrical.
In addition to being shaped like an oddly formed hand, many hamsas will have an eye displayed in the palm of the hand. The eye is thought to be a powerful talisman against the “evil eye.” The evil eye is a certain “look” that can cause bad luck for the person at whom it is directed. This “look” often originates with a person, though not always intentionally. Legends about the evil eye give both regular people and those with certain powers the ability to cast the evil eye. In the case of the average Joe, envy is most often cited as the unintentional source of the evil eye.
Other symbols that can appear on the hamsa include fish and Hebrew words. Fish are thought to be immune to the evil eye and are also symbols of good luck. Going along with the luck theme, “mazel” – meaning “luck” in Hebrew – is a word that is sometimes inscribed on the amulet. (Fish and the word “mazel” appear on the example above.)
Popular ways to hear the hamsa include as part of a jewelry design or on a key chain. It can also be displayed in your home as a decorative element. However it is displayed, the amulet is thought to bring good luck and happiness.
Eye of Horus:
The Wadjet (or Ujat, meaning “Whole One”) is a powerful symbol of protection also known as the “Eye of Horus” and the “all seeing eye”. The symbol was frequently used in jewelry made of gold, silver, lapis, wood, porcelain, and carnelian, to ensure the safety and health of the bearer and provide wisdom and prosperity.
Only one eye of Horus is open at a time, allowing the other to rest. Even though Horus becomes once again Mekhenty-er-irty every new moon, together the eyes of Horus see all things.
It is not the Eye of Horus which has such strong associations with Freemasonry and appears on the back of the American dollar bill. That image, the Eye of Providence, is German in origin and first begins appearing around the 17th century.
Eye of Providence:
The eye in a triangle that appears on the reverse of the Great Seal of the United States was called the Eye of Providence by the designers of the seal. The origins of this symbol which appeared in the last half of the seventeenth century are documented nowhere. However, consideration of analogous symbols and seventeenth century writers makes it clear that the origins of the Eye of Providence lie in the Greek classics. The subsequent paths are via alchemy, astrology, kabala, Rosicrucianism, and Freemasonry. This symbol which suggests the protective observation of a benevolent diety has been with us for three centuries now and may be consulted at any time on the back of the United States one dollar bill.

“The eye of Providence was part of the common cultural iconography of the 17th and 18th centuries. When placed in a triangle, the eye went beyond a general representation of God to a strongly Trinitarian statement. It was during this period that Masonic ritual and symbolism evolved; and it is not surprising that many symbols common to and understood by the general society made their way into Masonic ceremonies. Masons may have preferred the triangle because of the frequent use of the number 3 in their ceremonies: three degrees, three original grand masters, three principal officers, and so on.”
“Eventually the all-seeing eye came to be used officially by Masons as a symbol for God, but this happened towards the end of the eighteenth century, after congress had adopted the seal.”
“A pyramid, whether incomplete or finished, however, has never been a Masonic symbol. It has no generally accepted symbolic meaning, except perhaps permanence or mystery. The combining of the eye of providence overlooking an unfinished pyramid is a uniquely American, not Masonic, icon, and must be interpreted as its designers intended. It has no Masonic context.”

Third Eye:
The 3rd or Inner Eye – A metaphysical opening which refers to the 6th chakra (brow), that leads to higher consciousness. A new age symbol of enlightenment.
Back to the 6th chakra. The chakras usually relate to yoga, but not always. The 6th chakra in yoga is the brow. When kundalini (serpent power) rises to the the brow, there is enlightenment that is characterized by light. Those using yoga as a means of enlightenment get results by meditation, forced breathing patterns and using unnatural positions to force the power at the base of the spine upwards with the crown chakra as the main goal.
Another way enlightenment occurs is through meditation and visualization. Certain techniques are used to “see” and direct the serpent power up the spine through the chakras (nerve centers/wheels).
Here is another description. The kundalini rises and then goes into the brain and then down into the pituitary gland which awakens the pineal gland. When they meet there is union. This is an initiation of the birth of passage into another dimension and beyond. This is supposed to cause an explosion of light.
The third eye is also known as:
The middle eye of Shiva in Buddhism.
In Hinduism it is the eye of clairvoyance. This Hindus wear the Tilak. The red spot between the brows

Evil Eye-Torah and Books of Wisdom

The Torah:
The ‘evil eye’ here is refered too as coming from a ‘thought in thy wicked heart’! This thought leads a person to speaking it, which leads you to fulfilling that which you spoke. Thus the evil, proceeds from the heart, and ends up as an evil hand against thy brother.
Deuteronomy 15:9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee.
These two passages come from the curses in Deuteronomy and are quite hard to read, for it is the context of judgment, starvation, and what people will do to survive. Again the ‘evil eye’ here comes from the intent of the heart.
Deuteronomy 28:49 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
51 And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
52 And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.
53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee:
54 So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:
55 So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.
56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
57 And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.
58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;
The Books of Wisdom:
The one with an ‘evil eye’ towards thee, do not eat bread of him or with him, and do not desire what he has, here it is ‘dainty meats’, expensive special treats. For though he eats with you, his ‘eye is evil’ towards you. His heart is not with you for good, but evil! Don’t listen to what he says!
Proverbs 23:6 ¶Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats:
7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
So he that hasteth to be rich has an ‘evil eye’, this is a warning to all.
Proverbs 28:22 ¶He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.

The Warning of the ‘evil eye’
The Lord uses it here to illustrate a term that Jews knew well.
The use of ‘eye’ here is a metonymy, where ‘eye’ is used in direct correlation to ‘evil’ within!
Metonymy:Substituting the name of an attribute or feature for the name of the thing itself (as in ‘they counted heads’)
1. ophthalmos ( , 1. 3788), akin to opsis, “sight,” probably from a root signifying “penetration, sharpness
(b) metaphorically, of ethical qualities, evil, 1. Matt. 6:23; Mark 7:22 (by metonymy, for envy); singleness of motive, Matt. 6:22; Luke 11:34; as the instrument of evil desire, “the principal avenue of temptation,”
It is also from here we find the principal avenue of temptation, through the ‘lust of the flesh’, ‘lust of the eyes’, and the ‘pride of life’.
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world
‘Evil eye’ above, strongs 3788, is found in this portion from Matthew!
The context of verses 21-24 tells us much of what Jesus was pointing too when refering to ‘evil eye’.
1. The ‘evil eye’ is connected to your heart, and the truth is, “where your treasure is, that is where your heart will be!
2. The Light of the body is the eye. The eye simply reflects what is in your heart! The eye itself is not evil, the evil comes from the heart!
3. The truth here is, the ‘Eye’ is subject to a master, that master rules your heart. Therefore, if the Master is good, the “eye will reflect good”, if the Master is evil, the “eye will reflect evil”!
4. The truth here is, you simply cannot serve two Masters, the two Jesus refers too here are:
The one True God and his son, Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World
or
Riches, that which stands opposed to God and is trusted!

Mammon:
mamonas ( 3126), a common Aramaic word for “riches,” akin to a Hebrew word signifying “to be firm, steadfast” (whence “Amen”), hence, “that which is to be trusted”; Gesenius regards it as derived from a Heb. word signifying “treasure” (Gen. 43:23); it is personified in Matt. 6:24; Luke 16:9, 11, 13.
Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
The ‘evil eye’ Proceeds from within, out of the heart of men!
Mark 7:18 And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

The Lord in this context was speaking to his disciples in regard to the ‘traditions of men’, in this case eating with unwashen hands. The Pharisees, scribes, were astounded that Jesus and his disciples ate this way. Jesus then proceeded to speak in regarding to ‘teaching for commandments the traditions of men, thus making the word of God of none effect. Further he explained that to eat with unwashed hands do not defile since whatever you eat goes into the belly and is cast out in the draught, it does not go into the heart.
He explains that the things which defile come out of the heart and he then lists them:
1. Evil thoughts-wicked reasonings
2. Adulteries-
3. Fornications-1 illicit sexual intercourse. 1a adultery, fornication, homosexuality, lesbianism, intercourse with animals etc. 1b sexual intercourse with close relatives; Lev. 18. 1c sexual intercourse with a divorced man or woman;
4. Murders-to murder or slaughter
5. Thefts-
6. Covetousness-greedy desire to have more
7. Wickedness-evil purposes and desires
8. Deceit-craft or guile
9. Lasciviousness-unbridled lust, excess, licentiousness, lasciviousness, wantonness, outrageousness, shamelessness, insolence
10. Evil eye
11. Blasphemy-1 slander, detraction, speech injurious, to another’s good name. 2 impious and reproachful speech injurious to divine majesty.
12. Pride – 1 pride, haughtiness, arrogance. 2 the character of one who, with a swollen estimate of his own powers or merits, looks down on others and even treats them with insolence and contempt
All of these are directly associated with what John describes that which is “in the world”. It is these things which Satan tempts our hearts to do. We act on that either refusing or accepting it. This comes out of our hearts, and affects the whole body.
That which is in and is decided upon in the heart is that which you serve, God or Mammon!
It is that which is then reflected in the eye!
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world
Luke gives a context in which Jesus ate with the Pharisee’s, here he speaks say:
1. When a man lights a candle, he doesn’t hide it, he puts it where all can see by its light!
2. As a believer, your light of the body is the eye
3. The warning is that be sure the light that is in you is not darkness!
4. Your whole body must be full of light having no part dark, if it is such, then your eye will be light and good, as when the shining of candle gives light for people to see!
5. The inference and teaching here is that disciples of Jesus Christ must give and shine forth the light of God, through Christ.
6. We are Salt and Light!
Luke 11:33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.
36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

Evil Eye-Can a Generation be described as having an ‘Evil Eye’?

Beware the Leaven of Men!
Luke 11:53 And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:
54 Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.
Luke 12:1 ¶In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
Jesus in this context he has spoken against the ‘teachings and hypocrisy’ of the Pharisees, scribes, and lawyers.
These people sought to provoke him
These people laid in wait for him
They sought to catch something out of his mouth that they might accuse him
He warned those listening to beware of the teachings of the Pharisees, i.e. the hypocrisy [of men]
He goes on to say, there will be nothing covered that won’t be revealed
Nothing hid that shall not be known
What you speak in dark will be heard in the light
What you have spoken in secret in closets will be proclaimed from housetops
He warned those who followed him, not to be afraid of those who kill the body and after that they have no more they can do!
But he warned sternly, “who shall you fear?”
Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
Today the message is clear, the Word of God, the teachings of our Lord, the foundation of what he gave to us, to his Apostles, this is what we heed!
We must understand what he is saying today!
=>Beware of the Leaven of Men, thus leaving the Commandments and teachings of God !
The Generation of the “Evil Eye”
2 Timothy 3:1 ¶This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
We are living in the ‘last of the last days’ and indeed you and I agree that these are perilous times!
Perilous- chalepos, 5467, harsh, savage, difficult, dangerous, painful, fierce, greivous, hard to deal with.
The word describes a society that is barren of virtue but abounding with vices.
Ever [always, forever, at all times] Learning [to increase one’s knowledge, to hear and be informed, to learn by use and practice]
but
Never able[to be able, have power whether by virtue of one’s own ability and resources, or of a state of mind, or through favourable circumstances, or by permission of law or custom]
To come [metaph. 2a to come into being, arise, come forth, show itself, find place or influence]
to the
Knowledge [precise and correct knowledge. 1a used in the NT of the knowledge of things ethical and divine of the truth]
of the truth [aletheia ( 225), “truth,” is used (a) objectively, signifying “the reality lying at the basis of an appearance; the manifested, veritable essence of a matter” (Cremer)
“the truth of the Gospel” denotes the “true” teaching of the Gospel, in contrast to perversions of it
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever.
where “the truth of God” may be “the truth concerning God” or “God whose existence is a verity”
Rom 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers
In the above verse, “the truth of God” is indicative of His faithfulness in the fulfillment of His promises as exhibited in Christ;
“even as truth is in Jesus,” gives the correct rendering, the meaning is not merely ethical “truth,” but “truth” in all its fullness and scope, as embodied in Him; He was the perfect expression of the truth; this is virtually equivalent to His statement in John 14:6; (b) subjectively, “truthfulness,” “truth,” not merely verbal, but sincerity and integrity of character,
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him]
This indeed is a generation that is and can be typed with a people and a generation whose “eye is evil”!
This is also indicative of what Paul says in Thessalonians regarding the end times and the revealing of the Son of Perdition!
1. The coming of the Man of Sin is connected with a great falling away
2. The Wicked one, who is the Man of Sin will be able to deceive those in the earth.
3. For this generation will be one who has rejected the ‘love of the truth’

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Jezebel
Revelation 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works
The Men who did not repent of their works which were in rebellion against God!
Revelation 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
Men scorched with great heat and blasphemed the name of God!
Revelation 16:8 ¶And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

Psalms 2:1 ¶Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 ¶I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
10 ¶Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him

6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life
The Book ends with this Promise:
Revelation 22:10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20 ¶He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
