“This Weeks Study Notes
Mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven part 2
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Intro, review, short!
Last Week, end of show, we spoke about:
~~~~~~~~~~~
It is this plainly that Jesus spoke to his disciples saying to them in regard to ‘why speak to them in parables’, saying:
Matt 13:11 “it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.”
Why?
Because he that believeth as we have said, have been given the right, or authority to become the sons of God. Those who do not believe, even those who don’t believe yet, have the wrath of God abiding on them.
Matthew 13:10
And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
Matthew 13:11
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
Matthew 13:12
For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
To those who hear, more shall be given, therefore, if any many has ears to hear, let him hear, so that he may be given more!
Mark 4:23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

Generations:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The hearts that are waxed gross of the Generation. Every generation has them, people whose hearts are waxed gross: Jesus did, the Apostles did, the early church did, even in America our forefathers in the faith had those the same way. Today it is even more apparent, for this is the last time, before the coming of Christ!
Matthew 13:13
Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
Matthew 13:14
And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
Matthew 13:15
For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
The Generation of People:
Jesus asked who shall declare my generation?
Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
The generations of promise: David, the son of David came!
Matthew 1:1 ¶The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
The Generation of Vipers, fleeing the wrath to come! Cannot speak good things, for out of the heart, the mouth speaks. An Evil and adulterous generation seeks after signs.
Matthew 3:7 ¶But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Matthew 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
Matthew 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
The Generation of the End: thats us folks!
Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
The Chosen Generation!:
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light
Save yourself from this untoward Generation! Untoward God, i.e. rejects God and all he is! By wisdom does not know God!
Acts 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation
The Example of Philip:
Acts 8:29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.
30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?
31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?
35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.
Parable: The Seed of the Kingdom!
1. Known as the parable of sower
2. The word of the kingdom, the Word of God into heart.
3. The Types of recipients, those who hear:
A. Way side: hear word, don’t understand it, wicked one takes away seed sown in heart.
B. Stony: hear word, receive joy, no root, endures until tribulation or persecution for the word, he becomes offended.
C. Thorns: hears word, cares world, deceit riches choke word, unfruitful
D. Good ground: hears word, understands it, bears fruit, 100, 60, 30
Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
Matthew 13:18
Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
Matthew 13:19
When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
Matthew 13:20
But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
Matthew 13:21
Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
Matthew 13:22
He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
Matthew 13:6
And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
Matthew 13:7
And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
Matthew 13:8
But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
Matthew 13:9
Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Parable: The Kingdom of Heaven likened to a man sowing good seed in his field!
While the first parable spoke of the seed and let us know the origin of the seed and where it went with the results thereof, this parable lets us know the field itself and the enemy who comes.
1. Kingdom of heaven likened to a man [son of man] sowing good seed [children of the kingdom] in his field
2. While he slept, the enemy [devil] came and sowed tares [children of the wicked one] among his wheat and went his way!
3. He slept [church sleeping, backsliding] but also this can happen when you are doing all things as you should.
4. Enemy sows tares, look like wheat and cannot tell the difference until harvest.
5. The Enemy once he sows the tares, leaves and lets his tares do his work. They are anointed of their father the devil to do his work.
6. As soon as the first signs of growth in the field, the tares will appear as well.
7. The servants [disciples] of the householder [Christ Jesus] recognizes that there are tares [fake disciples and followers working trouble] in the field [earth] and ask, should we pull them up?
8. The Lord, householder, says no [this is mercy for the real wheat, so as not to pull up or destroy the faith of the true wheat when they see the tares rooted up and destroyed]
9. Let them grow to harvest, then the reapers [angels of God] will gather and burn them!
10. Tares have fruit that offend [makes a lie before God] and do iniquity [sin].
11. Wheat [Saints, good seed] shall shine forth, gathered into my [Lords] barn [kingdom]
12. Everything will grow until harvest- see Rev: 11 below
Revelation 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Matthew 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Matthew 13:24
¶Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
Matthew 13:25
But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
Matthew 13:26
But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
Matthew 13:27
So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
Matthew 13:28
He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
Matthew 13:29
But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
Matthew 13:30
Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Matthew 13:36
Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
Matthew 13:37
He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
Matthew 13:38
The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
Matthew 13:39
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
Matthew 13:40
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
Matthew 13:41
The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
Matthew 13:42
And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 13:43
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Every Scribe Instructed:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All the disciples are ‘scribes that have been instructed’ to know, understand, and comprehend the ‘kingdom of God’. It is these scribes that once they have studied, been taught, and follow the Lord, bring out of their house a treasure, both new and old.
The house, is their body, spirit man, where the Spirit of God resides. They bring out it, testimony regarding the true salvation, true life of God, and the true Son of God, Jesus Christ. They are light of the world, salt of the earth, they give testimony and keep the faith of the Son of God! Out of this comes forth treasure.
Matthew 13:51
Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.
Matthew 13:52
Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
Matthew 13:16
But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
Matthew 13:17
For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
These disciples of Jesus Christ, to the glory of the Father, have seen, heard, and know in their heart, the true value of the “kingdom of God”!
1. It is like a treasure hid in a field, he gives all he has to buy the field so he can get the treasure!
2. It is like a merchant man looking for the finest of pearls. When he finds one pearl that so perfect, gorgeous, and is worth so much, he sold all he had and went and bought it!
This is the cost, “all you have”!
Matthew 13:44
¶Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
Matthew 13:45
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
Matthew 13:46
Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
Parable: The Growing or ‘leavening of the kingdom’
‘let all grow to harvest’.
1. As a small mustard seed, which when planed and sowed field [earth]
2. Although small, it will grow great and become a tree.
3. It then provides protection for the birds of the air to lodge [metaphor type for those who seek shelter in the kingdom of God]
4. It is like leaven which when put in meal will fully grow or leaven that into a whole lump.
5. Plant or sow the seed of God, it will grow until that which it is planted in is fully leavened or matured in God!
Deuteronomy 30:14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
John 8:37 I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Matthew 13:31
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
Matthew 13:32
Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
Matthew 13:33
Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
The Testimony of Jesus Christ!
After Jesus Ascended we find, the ‘testimony’ of Jesus Christ among his followers!
The Comforter Testifies of Jesus Christ:
John 15:26 ¶But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
The Gospel preached by the Apostles Testified of Jesus Christ:
Acts 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
Those who overcame this world did so by the blood of the Lamb, by the word of their testimony, loving not their lives to the death!
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death
Greater works shall ye do, Jesus Says, ‘because I go unto my Father’:
John 14:12 ¶Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
