Examining the ‘I am’ of God, Jesus Christ who revealed the Father to mankind so that they would believe in him, repent, and find redemption to God the Father through Christ.

I AM, The beginning, there was nothing before God, for God always existed!

Exodus 3:13  And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
14  And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you

When Moses ask the Lord God who it was that had sent him to the Jews in bondage in Egypt, he was told to say “I AM hath sent me unto you”. Before that phrase he explained to Moses this “I AM that I AM.”  The words here ‘I AM’ is seen as the name used with “Jehovah or Yahweh”, the jews call him Adonai. But the ‘I AM’ used here is hayah, i.e. “ I AM [hayah] that I AM [hayah]. This word tells that who Moses was talking to ‘exists, always existed, and always will exist’. He is not only the One who made the covenant with the Fathers of the Jews now in bondage in Egypt, but he was the ONE who kept the covenant with them. The fact that he was now sending Moses to fulfill his covenant to them illustrated the truth to “I AM that I AM”, the self existent one, the one who always existed, the one who was not created, he was before all things and by him alone all things exist.  He was telling Moses that “I who exist, and created all things, who make covenants, keep covenants, and I control all things”. By Him Kings, nations, and peoples exist, period.

It was also this God who further clarified what he told Moses by saying that “The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you-Ex 3:15″.  They would recognize this statement, for they had cried to this God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to rescue them from their bonds in Egypt. Now he had come in answer to their prayers and the fulfillment of his covenant with Abraham.

Exodus 34:6  And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
7  Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

We find, though, in Exodus 34:6 when the “LORD passed by” before Moses and proclaimed “The LORD, The LORD God” that the word LORD is used three times in this verse. It is the word for YHWH, or Yahweh, Jehovah. This is the personal covenant name of the LORD God. It is here we find the attributes that God himself has ascribed to himself, describing who he is!

The LORD, God who is the covenant keeping God and self existent One. The One who was before all things and by him all things exist. Before him all creation will stand one day. This is the One True God who is compassionate, merciful, and gracious. From this cometh grace in the form of our Savior Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha Massiach. This God is longsuffering, slow to anger. He is full of goodness, i.e. loving kindness, steadfast love, grace, mercy, and faithfulness. From this word the New Testament relates it as mercy or grace. He is the God of Truth, who is faithful, and not only is he good, but also merciful, and is a keeper of that mercy, again here we translate this as loving kindness, steadfast love, grace, mercy, faithfulness, devotion,   and goodness. It also is the same with this word in the New testament that translates it as mercy.  These are the qualities that our God and Father, described of himself. These are the qualities that our Savior Jesus Christ, who was sent from the Father brought in revelation to the world, revealing the Father.

In the beginning God, this is how it starts, from our record anyway, found in Genesis chapter one. Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
It is this God, who created the heaven and the earth. This word, created is ‘bara’, which means to create something out of nothing.

created-bara 1254), “to create, make.” This verb is of profound theological significance, since it has only God as its subject. Only God can “create” in the sense implied by bara?. The verb expresses creation out of nothing, an idea seen clearly in passages having to do with creation on a cosmic scale: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth” (Gen. 1:1; cf. Gen. 2:3; Isa. 40:26; 42:5).
It is here that to create something out of nothing is that which God does. But as we look at this, let us consider what is ‘chaos’? Itself Chaos or Chaotic, means ‘lacking visible order or discipline’. It can also mean ‘unordered, unpredictable, and confusing’. Nearest synonym is ‘disorderly and helter skelter’. These meanings are dictionary meanings. From a biblical point of view, chaos itself is seen in the bible and is called ‘a place of confusion’. That is what it was ‘in the beginning’ if you were a man looking on. This confusion comes from our lack of understanding and knowledge of God. For He is and always has been.

When God was, it is true, He had always been and always will be. No power is greater, no God is above him, and he alone is God. In him is time and space. In him is knowledge, virtue, power, and truth. In him, in short, is everything that there is and everything that always will be. He come on a trip from some galaxy plop down on some planet and decide to manufacture humans and then send them as little seeds of flesh to grow out of the earth. In the Beginning, God, the True God, who always was and ever shall be, created the heavens and earth out of nothing.
In the beginning if your were to see all this, you would think of it as ‘chaos’. But it was not ‘chaotic’, nor ‘helter skelter’, for God was in the process of Creating all things. The word ‘created’ is bara, and it shows clearly in the Hebrew that God brought the object or concept into being from previously nonexistent material!
A careful study of the passages where bara? occurs shows that in the few nonpoetic uses (primarily in Genesis), the writer uses scientifically precise language to demonstrate that God brought the object or concept into being from previously nonexistent material. [Vine's Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words, Gen 1:1, Created, bara]
Clearly when reading the passages we see a formless, void, with darkness upon the face of the deep. Then the “Spirit of God” moved upon the face of the waters. Without form here means emptiness and can also mean a place of chaos. It was a mass, empty, void, and would be considered a waste. Darkness, blackness, was upon the face of the deep. Here it refers to all waters on the face of the earth. It was the surface, water everywhere, no land, and darkness was upon it all. Out of this the Spirit [ruach] of God [elohim], moved upon the face of the waters. The Spirit ‘hovered, fluttered, over the surface or face of the waters’. This was the first basic of structures in the beginning, water. Upon the ‘waters face’ the Spirit ‘hovered. The power of God, not wrenching things to get done, but simply, by the Word of his power, through his Spirit, all things were created. Today we see and experience the might creation which was the result of the Spirit of God ‘fluttering’ over the expanse in the darkness, upon the waters.

From, the void, came this which we know today and all it is, the creation!

Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters

The righteous Judgment of God upon the end time church in the world. The judgment, the separation of the sheep from the shepherds, and the gathering of the remnant of God. The ‘cup and the baptism’ of the LORD is ours to drink and to fully undergo in his name.

We are told by the Apostle Peter that the “the time is come that ‘judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God.’ Here we see a divine separation that God, in his Righteous Judgment allows. Such a dividing line that through the ‘suffering’ as a Christian, God is righteous, in a judicial sense, allowing ‘suffering’ to be used in this sense to separate and judge those who believe. In the passages below regarding ‘judgment’ and ‘righteous judgment’, both are used in a context, in which, the believers are suffering as Christians. Pointedly here, persecuted and facing tribulation all because of Christ.  It is here we find that the Apostle Paul tells the Thessalonians in verse four of chapter one that ‘we glory in you in the churches of God’. Why did the Apostle and those with him glory as such? Because he says “For your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure.” It is the righteous judgment of God to allow this, sifting, shaking, and bringing believers in the true position with Christ, in which they share in Christ, in his sufferings!

Judgment:  krisis (??????, 2920) primarily denotes “a separating,” then, “a decision, judgment,” most frequently in a forensic sense, and especially of divine “judgment1, executing of divine judgment.

1 Peter 4:16  Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
1 Peter 4:17  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
Righteous G1342: ‘righteous, observing divine laws; in a judicial sense, passing just judgment on others.’
Judgment G2920: ‘a separating, then a decision, in executing divine judgment’
Rom 2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

2 Thess 1: 4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
2 Thess 1:5  Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

It is here that we must understand the depth of this and the calling associated with it. We find that the Apostles at the start did not really understand the mission of our Lord. Neither did they fully grasp the call and the level to which they must attain. Here in Matthew we find James and John coming to Jesus and asking to be able to sit, one on thy right hand and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.  The point I bring here is not to understand why they asked, or that it was not the Lords to grant to sit there. The point here is that Jesus asked them plainly “can you drink of the cup that I drink of? And be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?”

Mark 10:35  And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come unto him, saying, Master, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall desire.
36  And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you?
37  They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.
38  But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?
39  And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:
40  But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared

As went the plagues in Egypt and Gods dealing with the Hebrews, so will he do regarding these last days and ‘jacobs trouble’. AKA, the great tribulation!

goshen e book banner
Goshen ‘Setting the People and Land Apart’

Goshen, ‘a mound of earth’, but it represents a place of safety during the judgments of the LORD God! Taken from the Exodus and placed today in the current times, this E book is meant to help you understand God’s deliverance of his People, even during today’s times! We are commanded to ‘come out of her, my people’! So we won’t be partaker of her sins, nor receive of the Judgments against her by the LORD God.

This is about what is coming and what many in prophecy have been studing since our Messiah Yeshua came. This is not about a grand ‘rapture’ or ‘taking away’ to the clouds. This is about the Power of our God, our LORD, YHWH! It is demonstrated in the Exodus of the Hebrews captivity from Egypt, a type of the world. Today, God is telling the world and nations to let his people go! His people for this is both, jew and gentile, male and female. But note here we do not ignore Gods dealings with Israel nor his last days dealings with those who rejected Messiah when he came long ago to die on the cross.

This is about how God protected his people, and how this relates to us today! There were nine plagues demonstrating God’s power over all the gods of Egypt and then there was the ‘Passover’, the death of the first born. From this last judgment, ‘Passover’, we get a full complete picture of the Work of God and the coming ‘lamb of God’ to deliver all who would believe from death. So as God has made away for all, Jew and gentile to be delivered from death, I believe God has made away for those who love God and keep his commandments to be delivered from those things coming. Yes we will be in the tribulation, but God, just as he did during the judgments on Egypt, will protect us. The secret is in ‘knowing God, receiving his Son , Yeshua Ha Massiach, Jesus christ, taking up our cross and following him.’ As we do this, we keep the faith and testimony of Jesus and also follow his commandments. Now in this path can be martyrdom, tribulation, persecution, and deliverance. But we also see here that God, before he sends his ‘wrath’ and ‘judgments’ on Babylon for instance, tells his people to flee. We are not appointed to wrath, therefore, I believe, God will make a way for us. Supernaturally, in the natural, bringing his people out with power and miracles.

But even as I say that, there will be many who fall, as I call it, to the ‘martyr’s anointing’ and die for his faith and testimony during this period. This as followers of our Lord, is the number one ‘marching order’ today for the end times in which we live!

Revelation 12:11  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

The Story of Moses is a grand story, but to many it is just that, a story. To me and many others it is God’s truth of the matter concerning the beginning of Israel, their deliverance from bondage, and the fulfillment of the ‘covenant of promise’ made to Abraham. I love the Word of God, its truth and the fact that God gave it to the world. The world, though doesn’t understand it. The one’s to whom it was truly given was the ‘remnant’ of God. Those who truly loved God and followed him in faith and obedience taught by our Savior Y’Shua [Jesus Christ]. Many would argue that God did not give it to the world, that is true, but he made it available for all in the world. Why? Because God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, this is found in John chapter three. Also God gave his son and commanded all men everywhere to repent. But in all this I find the main truth of love that streams from a God that loved his creation so much he would come and die for them. All because they would not die, but live.

John 17:14  I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15  I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16  They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17  ¶Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

In the scripture above, Jesus prays in what I believe to be the real “LORDS Prayer” in John 17. Here he is speaking to the Father, praying that the Father not take his disciples out of the world but that he would keep them from the evil. He further said, “they are not of the world, just as I am not of the World.” In the last verse in the context above he says “sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” Here we know of scripture today as the Word. We also know Jesus was the Word incarnate. His words were ‘spirit and life’. As men obey the truth in the Word, it sets them apart and sets them free. It is, that is, the action of the Word sanctifying the believers, is empowered by the anointing of God for deliverance and safekeeping. Through Faith in the living Word, the son Jesus and by the Word written, through Gods grace, we can activate this change in our lives and also bring others into it. God is not a respecter of persons. He will and does deliver all kinds of people everyday. But this article is about the fact that God delivers and keeps his people from Evil. When I speak of evil, I mean the chief architect, Satan, lucifer, the dragon, the beast, the chief accuser, the roaring lion and his minions, and all those men and women who follow him. While we may be martyred, harrassed by, and accused by these evil ones, they cannot destroy our hope nor reward which is in God through Christ. By evil I also mean, in the evil of the world, we can, through this God, be established, kept, and lead safetly thorugh this evil. By evil I mean when the plagues and judgments of God come, we can stand in the LORD and be set apart from these that hit. But we must first be in HIM complete, by faith and by following his commandments as directed by Jesus himself in the gospels and in Revelation.

There is no better illustration of this than God dealing with Israel. Israel and even Christians today only get into trouble with they stray from the safety net of Gods protection. They stray by following their own will and ideas. They do not follow his word, which keeps them sanctified or set apart through the Spirit of God that works with the living breathing Word. The guidelines and the protection lies in God’s Word and what he has directed us to do. When we follow by faith those things written, we will overcome. But even Israel had trouble with this. Let me ask you this, were ever a people as Israel who saw the power of the Living God displayed on their behalf as Israel? Let me also ask were there ever a people who once having known this True and living God were dispersed unto all corners of the world as a judgment upon them for disobedience?

In delivering the Hebrews from the bondage of Egypt we have all read about the plagues. It has been the subject of movies. But apart from all of this, is the fact that God delivered his people, punished the Pharaoh and all of Egypt while keeping his own people ‘from Evil’. As I read this story I find God has blessed Israel. Because of the faithfulness of Joseph and Gods leading, Israel came into Egypt. The famine was sore and the place of deliverance was Egypt. There under the protection of the LORD God who would use Egypt to keep his people and the word he gave to Abraham alive, the Hebrews prospered. The land was the best of Egypt and in that place they prospered and grew. Doing so until the time Joseph died and another Pharaoh who did not know Joseph came to power. During this time the blessing turned to curse, the protection to bondage, the deliverance to slavery. The lesson here is God uses nations, people, and places for his purpose. Even today, Christians who have lived in the protection and blessing of God in America, did so with Gods help. The same place that has been protection and deliverance from evil will become a nation of bondage and slavery for those who love God and follow him. Why? Because this nation is no longer one that identifies with the true Living God and his son Y’Shua. God is judging this nation and will continue to do so until the end.

“on the outside, America seems like a pagan nation, but it is not such. It has like a dog who has returned to its own vomit, casting off the Son of God and is proceeding down the road to destruction. But in spite of all the shaking in America and the world, this will be one of the greatest moves on God’s calendar. We will be in it, if we do not give up, but continue in faith. Have patience!”.

“What the Spirit saith unto the churches”

Revelation 2:7  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
In Revelation, the Apostle John writes the ‘apocalypse’, what we call Revelation. The phrase
“Spirit saith unto the churches” is used seven times in the span of the first warnings to the seven churches. We are told to ‘hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches’. Even though it is written, we are to hear. This hearing is from the Holy Spirit, directly to our inner man, the Spirit speaks to our hearts, telling us what we need to hear from him. The churches written to by John were not bricks and stones, but to people that gathered together in the name of the Lord in cities throughout Asia Minor. They were not denominations, traditions, or man made ideas. This was a living breathing organism, called the church, the ‘called out ones’, who followed the Lord in true discipleship, even unto death.
