Proud Heart, Proud Words, and Judgment

Israel

If there were ever a proud nation, that would be America, or so the thought comes. But the truth is, Israel, who knew the True and living God, saw its own pride and downfall as well. In fact since the time of the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem in Jeremiah’s day, they have faced the fact that their kingdom, temple, and ways were gone. In a moment, destroyed through the judgment the LORD God had sent. It was nevermore to be built again. Nevermore, that is until God brought his people back from all the world were he dispersed them.

As for America, its people, and the church in this nation, well pride goes with the territory of being one of most blessed nations on earth. That is, until the same God who destroyed Israel, Jerusalem, and its temple, sends judgment in its fullness upon this nation. In this we must understand that we are now and have been seeing God slowly withdrawing his blessing and sending his judgments upon this country. But we must also know that we are surely not the most wicked of the nations on earth. No, likewise, Israel and Judah was not as well. The one item both nations have in common is the fact they were both founded by and blessed through the LORD God. It was the LORD who established Israel and it was the LORD who saw that this nation would be created and also who blessed it raising it to the top of all nations.

But the one thing we must not do is follow pride with proud hearts and proud words. There is no doubt today, there are more and more who see things going wrong. Many still don’t understand and will stay that way, in darkness, until the very end. Others will be proud and suffer the judgment for it. While still others will understand, repent, and seek the LORD. This is what I call a remnant. The remnant believers who will turn to the LORD in all their efforts to find him and his hand upon them.

As we ponder these thoughts, let us stroll through Chapter forty four of Jeremiah and find some important points that pertain to us. Points that we can learn from. Points that will save us trouble and heartache in the end.

Thus the Word Came:

After judgment upon Judah, with Babylon destroying the temple, Jerusalem, people, and carrying some captive along with the holy things, there was a remnant in the land of Judah. People who the LORD God had allowed to be there. He could have thoroughly erased Israel and all its people. Then this God could have raised up stones for a people. But in his mercy, he did not! It was during this time that Jews who scattered out of Judah and its surrounding lands for the high hills when the Babylonian armies marched in, began to come back. The King of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar had appointed a king in the land, giving him orders and then left.

Through intrigue, this king was killed and the remaining princes with their men sought Jeremiah in an effort to find out if God would bless their leaving Judah. You can read all this in chapters 42 through 44 of Jeremiah. To make a long story short, the LORD told them to remain in Judah or they would face famine, sword, and death in Egypt. This group ignored the Words of God and took all the people and Jeremiah to Egypt. We take up the story there as Jeremiah is speaking to this stubborn group of Jews who would not listen.

The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah. As with all the words the LORD gave to Jeremiah concerning his people, they would not listen. There is no doubt even today in our nation, God continue’s to give a word to his people, but they along with the example of these Jews, persistently do not listen.

Thus another Word for these Jews came, A very important Word!

Jeremiah 44:1
¶The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which dwell in the land of Egypt, which dwell at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying,

Judgment on Judah

You would think by now the Jews in both Israel and Judah would understand that when Jeremiah spoke a Word of the LORD, it came true. None believed Jerusalem, its temple, and many people would be destroyed. None believed God would dare judge his own chosen people, those called by his name. None believed this LORD would have all his holy things carried captive to Babylon by Goyim, unclean gentiles. But this God did.

Yet for all this Jeremiah brings a word to remind these people that the LORD [covenant and personal name of God] of Hosts [the highest authority over all agencies there is] and the God of Israel [their own personal God who was called by their name, Israel] had brought evil upon them, destroying Judah and making it desolate!

This people had their own name ‘Israel’ attached to the God who loved them so. By their own pursuits and lusts they sought after other Gods who were not Gods. In doing so they defiled the name of God. They thus provoked God to anger for their persistent wickedness and harlotry by going after other Gods who were not Gods. They did these things which even their forefathers, nor they had ever heard of. Yet they did eventually hear and do wickedly with other Gods. The stage being set for the judgment they had received.

Jeremiah 44:2
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwelleth therein,

Jeremiah 44:3
Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers.

I Rose Early and Sent Prophets

Jeremiah reminds them that before this destruction of their beloved Jerusalem, temple, lifestyle, and people, God had arose early. He did so [for we know God doesn't ever sleep so how can he rise early] by sending in his voice on earth to Israel, through his servants, the prophets. He sent them with his word to tell them not to do this abomination and to repent.

As with many people, they did not listen, choosing instead to ignore the warnings and still went ahead pursuing their own thing, so to speak. The continued in their wicked ways and harlotry. As a result, God sent his destruction, but not before many, many years of prophets who warned his people of judgment to come if they did not repent.

Moreover, God still judges nations and peoples. God still expects his people to not do wickedly! If God judged both Judah and Israel [the northern kingdom] for their wickedness he will judge us and other nations. If God destroyed his own temple, sent his holy things for use in the service of the temple captive to Babylon along with his people, he will also destroy the harlot church, send his people into a smelter, and let all people know he is God, the LORD; who is governor of the nations and ruler of his people who call him LORD! He will also destroy all other idols, Gods, and powers who oppose him and his righteous ways!

Jeremiah 44:4
Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.

Jeremiah 44:5
But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.

Jeremiah 44:6
Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.

Proud in Spite of the Judgment I Sent

But unbelievable as it sounds, in spite of the judgment, the remnant who were left in the Land still were not humbled, nor did they fear God. They were certainly afraid of the judgments God sent, that is why they wanted to go to Egypt where none of these things occurred. This thought in their minds was comforting for some reason because in their delusion they thought this God could not or would not come after them in Egypt. But they forgot one thing, they were a covenant people. Ones who had a history of knowing this God. Their forefathers had known this God, seen his hand at work. Now they were in Egypt defying what Jeremiah had told them, which was straight from God, “Do not go down into Egypt”.

Jeremiah 44:10
They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.

The Proud Heart “We will not Listen”

Not only were this a proud rebellious lot, but now they stood defiant before Jeremiah. This is a problem for all flesh. If you love death, then go ahead and hate this God. For surely death will come if you in pride and foolishness hate the LORD God. This group of remnant Jews stood with all their wives, and a great multitude before Jeremiah and stubbornly told him, in our lingo, “go get lost Jeremiah.”

Jeremiah 44:15
¶Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,

Stand in the Old Paths & Walk Therein!

Jeremiah had told them earlier to ‘stand in the good way, and walk in it.’ This would be where they would find rest and peace in their souls. But walking in the LORD God’s commands and not going after other Gods was not in their logic. They ignored the watchmen God had sent, ignored his stern warnings to walk in the ways or commandments of the LORD. These watchmen ‘sounded the trumpet’ as a warning blast to Gods people. They were saying “awaken you who sleep, awaken you who do not walk in the true ways of the LORD, repent and seek him so that this judgment does not find you”! Yet in all this, God’s own people ignored it! They were fine, rich, and in need of nothing!

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.

Condemned by Their Own Words

Be careful what you say before God. I can tell you without reservation or equivocation, that God will hold you to what you speak. Even if you speak foolishly! This group of remnant Jews, who saw the words Jeremiah spoke come to pass, still did not fear the LORD. They spoke directly to the Prophet and Watchman of God saying “we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth.” That is astonishing to me that after all this they were so hardened and foolish that they would challenge God and his prophet, a proven one as well. There was no guess work in this, Jeremiah had proven he was a Prophet to all of Judah. In addition they said, we will “burn incense unto the queen of heaven, pour out drink offerings to her, just as we all have been doing all along.”

A careful study of this will also reveal they saw that when they did this, i.e. serve other Gods that no evil came upon them. Of course this is a lie. For God had been sending judgments all along. It was the grace of God that forebear upon them. He had been warning them through his prophets. This people took this forbearance and grace of God as the work of their foolishness and idol God they were serving. They thought any blessing, peace, and comfort came from this God, the queen of Heaven.

Jeremiah 44:17
But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

The queen of heaven they were serving was the Babylonian goddess, Ishtar. Which is where our own ‘statue of liberty’ replica came from. They made her cakes, and gave her drink offerings. All of which brought the abomination to the level of unbelievable, since they had flour and grain offerings to the real God, along with drink or wine offerings. This worship involved the whole family. The problem here is this people did wickedly and only left off from following their harlotry after it was too late and God had begun to send judgment. When this judgment came, they did not want to see it as judgment for their harlotry, but saw it as failing to serve this Goddess Ishtar. Much of the world today is still involved in worshipping demons in this fashion. Yes, these people do so see demonic influence, supernatural occurrences, and more to convince them that what they do is true and certain. But in fact it is a lie and a delusion.

Jeremiah 44:18
But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.

Jeremiah 44:19
And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?

The LORD God Acknowledges and Sends Judgment for their own Words!

The LORD God then accepts and says that the words they have spoken out of their own mouths will in fact be fulfilled by their own hands. For when they do the things they have said they would do, then judgment would be upon their own heads, through their own hands.

Here scripture doesn’t say why all the crowd went together against the LORD. But they did. Maybe many followed the crowd and what the majority felt. In other words peer pressure. It is hard to say, but no doubt if they or some of them had just said to the LORD, “we repent” and followed the words with heartfelt action like going back to Judah, then God would have heard and forgiven them. But they did not!

In fact the LORD God said to Judah, i.e. all that dwell in the land of Egypt, saying “I will watch over them for evil and not for good.” Further God says that “all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword, by famine, until there be an end to them.”

Jeremiah 44:24
Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the LORD, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt:

Jeremiah 44:25
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.

Jeremiah 44:26
Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.

Jeremiah 44:27
Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.

The LORD Establishes a Sign of Whose Word will Stand!

It is here that the LORD says some will escape the sword that comes upon Egypt. This sword comes by Babylon again. Those who escape will be a witness, again of the fact that the Word of the LORD comes true. That the stubbornness and pride of the people met the Words of the LORD through his Prophet. Thus this remnant will know that the Words of the LORD stood and not the words of foolish and prideful men who refuse to repent and lead their families after the ways of the True and Living God, the God of Israel.

Jeremiah 44:28
Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or theirs.

Jeremiah 44:29
And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:

The Counsel of the LORD Stands Forever!

Even today we have the same kind of men, women, and nations of peoples. All who foolishly make claims, speak unwise, and pursue things that will bring death upon them. Today the whole world will someday meet with the ‘son of perdition’ mentioned in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. This will be a wicked one who will lead multitudes in delusion against the LORD. He will speak against the God of heaven and seem to get away with it, that is until the LORD returns and puts an end to it.

Today we find that in America there are as well many who continue to foolishly and with pride speak out. They are going to do this or that! They will do as they feel! No one is going to tell them what to do! They will believe in this God or that one. They will believe in a force and not any True God. Then there are those, who as fools, say in their heart, ‘there is no God.’

We have many churches, denominations, and Christians who think all this warning is allot of bunk. It is trash, it is old fashioned! It will never happen say they! God is love, he won’t do this to the church and America. Well, all I can say is this, wait and see whose words come to pass, the Word of the LORD or your own! Be careful, The “Counsel of the LORD” stands forever!

Psalms 33:10 The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.
11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

I close with this my friends, here are some scripture portions. The Word of God say’s the ‘Eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him’. Do you hope in this God, even our Father through Jesus Christ [Y'SHUA Ha Massiach]? Do hope in his mercy? Do you seek him, cry to him, and face troubles today? If so, the ‘Eye of the LORD’ is upon you! His ‘angels encamp around you who fear him and this God will deliver you.’ It is here that you who trust in HIM, truly so, in faith, in action, and with a whole heart need to believe and receive this fact, there are many afflictions of the righteous, but this God will deliver you. All those who trust in Him will not be left desolate, for he will always be there. Yes there will be trouble, a smelter, persecution, and trials, but this God will never leave you nor forsake you. In fact, you may meet death for your faith, for the servant is not above his master. We are called to follow at all costs. The question is, what are you going to do? These scriptures are mighty ‘weapons to use in prayer’ and in your daily life. There are many such scriptures, but these are just a few.

At the end of this is a prayer psalm. It is what I call a Prayer warriors Psalm. If you are facing troubles, you can make this Psalm a prayer, tailor it to your needs and pray it out loud! God is faithful, he cannot lie, will not forsake you, and no one who hopes in him will be desolate. He will bring you unto himself.

The Eye of the LORD is upon them that Fear Him, those that Hope in His Mercy!

Psalms 33:18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

The LORD Who hears, delivers, and Saves!

Psalms 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Psalms 34:17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

The LORD Redeems His Servants who Trust in Him!

18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
22 The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

The Warring Prayer for the Saint who is facing troubles!

This is a great Biblical prayer for those facing troubles, use this as a base for you praying against those enemies, either flesh or spirit who assail you. Some parts may not fit your situation, use the parts which do, make it your own prayer, and use it in your defense against the enemy.

“parable of t he two beasts, plus hosea’s warning, and a special message”

Luke 8:10  And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand

Parable of the Two Beasts

In the land there abode towns, cities, and fields. In this land the Masters had the hire of the land, for if anyone would do service, they must be under a Master. The Masters hired servants to keep their fields, to dress it and bring in the harvest. Also given to them were beasts called burden. Everyday the servants would pick up the beast named burden and carry it to the field. Once their they cared for, nourished it, and took it with them as they worked.

But in the land there abode a Good Master who had also hired servants. But this Master was unlike any of the other Masters in the land, for he had mercy on his servants and brought in a beast name ‘grace’ to make their load lighter.  When the servants went to the fields, ‘grace’ carried them along the way. Grace would take their loads, carry them, and relieve the load upon the Good Masters Servants. All day ‘Grace’ would work alongside the servants helping them, and taking the load from them as they gave it to ‘Grace’. But soon there arose a division in the Good Masters field for there were servants who had learned to do fields with ‘burden’. They despised the ones who used ‘Grace’ and called them weak. After while these got rid of ‘grace’ and became like the rest of the servants in the land. They would pick up their ‘burden’and take it to the field, and all day long they gingerly would nurse it, take care of it, and overtime, ‘burden’ grew even bigger. To this all the servants were happy that they had greater ‘burdens’. Until one day, their ‘burdens’ had grown so big, they no longer could pick it up. Since they could no longer work, the Master of those servants cast them out.

So too, there are my servants who despise my grace, they take upon themselves burdens and have refused my hand of mercy. When I have said, “take my yoke upon you, for my yoke is easy, my burden is light”, you have said, “I want to carry my burden”.  When I have said “my grace is sufficient for thee”, you have said “I want my burden, I will carry it.”

Matthew 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Matthew 11:30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Hebrews 4:16  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

The L-rd says to you, surely, my mercy and my grace brings to you favor, strength, and supply for all you need, yet you do not walk in it. For you have taken ‘burden’, nourishing it, carrying it, and seeking its increase. Then you wonder why you cannot carry it. The L-rd says “put down thy burden, take my yoke, for it is easy and my burden is light. Learn of me, saith the L-rd.” “For my yoke, my mercy, and my grace is my favor towards you. Let my grace carry you, it is sufficient!

It is more than forgiveness,
It is provision,
It is rest,
It is supply,
It is comfort,
It is mercy,
It is for you,
It is undeserved,
It is my favor, my grace,
It is through faith,
It is yours,
It is free,
But it is not cheap,
Jesus Christ died so you can have it,
So don’t carry your burden,
Let my grace carry you,
Into Sonship,
Into my will,
Into my presence,
There I will teach you,
I will be your G-d,
You will be my Son!

Yes, amidst trial,
Troubles,
Even suffering,
My grace shall be there!
Sufficient to give rest,
To find comfort,
To strengthen you,
To know I AM with you,
To make you victorious.

1 Corinthians 1:28  And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29  That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30  But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31  That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Seek the Lord,
Keep his Word,
Be faithful,
Walk in Him!

Psalms 91:14  Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15  He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16  With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Rest in Gods grace, then press on in the race that is set before you. His favor towards you is a deep river flowing within, His Spirit, the Spirit of the Living God, who is Holy, whose temple you are. As you run the race, remember; “The Battle is the Lords”, it is his favor, his work, and his power in you, so that no flesh should glory, but that the power seen would be of G-d and not man.

1 John 5:4  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith

1 Corinthians 3:16  ¶Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

The Hosea Warning to the Church of the Last Days:

As Israel was, so is the church of these last days.  The warning is straight out of Hosea, be sure, it is certainly given to the church today as it was through Hosea to Israel. Let these warnings and words be wisdom to you. Let them find their mark and receive them, for the L-rd says to the end time church:

Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts; Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst. And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children of whoredoms. For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink. ¶Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.

Watchman Special Messages:

I have warned the church for these many years, and  have warned believers of what comes. The message is now placed on your shoulders, for I have spoken what the L-rd has given to me. For the burden is now the L-rds, it is his ‘battle’, he is the L-rd. The blood is on your own heads, it is off my hands.

My burden as a Watchman is now firmly placed in the yoke of the L-rd, where his burden is easy, where I can learn of him. I will warn, I will teach and preach and continue to do as I believe the L-rd leads me to do, but no more will I carry the burden I have. If you have a problem with what comes, it is the L-rd, not me. If you hate the message, it is his message, not mine. If you reject his pleading, then it is him you will face, not me.

I am done with carrying the burden and load of your rejection, pride, refusing to hear. I am done with worrying, fretting, and all associated human frailties in regard to the church and America itself. You may not notice a difference in this ministry, but the real change is in me. The burden is now the L-rds, and I  walk in his grace and power to do his will. So that the power will be of G-d and not man.

The Watchman
Dana G Smith Is 21:6

P.S. and as for me and my household, we plan on rejoicing in the L-rd, feeding on his strength and presence. Personally, I plan on gardening next summer, the L-rd willing, and even treking in the Mountains, for what will come, will come. I plan on being found in Him, no matter when it does. For I do not seek man nor his ideals, I seek the L-rd, who is my salvation.

Song of Songs 2:1  ¶I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.
2  As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.
3  ¶As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.
4  He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.

Psalms 99:6  ¶Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.

Psalms 99:8  Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.
9  Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.

Psalms 147:11  The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

LORD: Yhwh, Yahweh, proper name of the one true God, His personal name by which He related specifically to His chosen or covenant people.

God, H430, Elohim, plural in form, singular in meaning, great power, the True God.

Forgavest: strongs, H5375, this word in the Hebrew is Nasa, pronounced (Naw-Saw). It is translated in this verse as forgavest or forgives. It simply means “to bear, carry, lift up, forgive, to be forgiven, honored. It is from H4984, mitnasse, to be ‘lifted up, exalted’.

God H410, El, God, the mighty One, as a title of majesty and power. Used with compound proper names. This is from ‘lohim’, God (plural in form but singular in meaning with a focus on great power). El is also from ‘loah’, God.

Inventions: wantoness, deed, doing, practices, evil deeds; This word is from ‘alal /aw lal/’, a primitive root, translating ‘glean’ ‘done’, to act severely, make a fool of someone, thrust forth in wickedness, to act or play the child.

God is not have to do it, did He? He could have left Israel in Egypt with Pharaoh under bondage but he did not. He could have raised up a people from among other peoples and tribes, but He did not! The fact is historical today, the Hebrew’s were delivered from bondage to the Egyptian’s long ago. It is funny today as we look back on all this and the discussion about the Hebrew’s in Egypt sometimes remain around how could they of build the Pyramid’s, drag the large stones into place, and do all that building. From Egypt we also get the ancient ‘conspiracy’ tale of the Masons. We get so much from Egypt, myth, legend, and man’s idea’s. But lost in all the secularism, hype, and talk is the fact of a Sovereign God, called Yhwh, or Yahweh, who had a covenant with a person name Abraham. It was a personal commitment, one of law, righteousness, and Gods faithfulness to his Word.

Today as we look back on this, we need to see the examples of how God dealt with his people. From this, we can learn. We can be warned, comforted, have hope, and develop faith. For if this God dealt thus with Israel, he will do so with all those who hope in his mercy. The fact is also today from a purely Gentile standpoint is that the God of the universe sent his only begotten Son to be born of a Jewish woman. He was man, he was also God, incarnate, ‘God in the flesh’. Salvation came through the Son of God, Y’SHUA and none other. We call his name in English Jesus Christ, but the truth and the name of the Son of God remains true to the heritage and line he came from. He was not born in Brooklyn to Italian parents. He was not born in Australia to English heritage. He was not born rich or famous. He was simply a carpenters son, from a small village.

But the truth is, this one, whom we know as the Son of God, Y’Shua, Jesus the Christ [Ha Massiach] is coming back soon! He will complete the salvation which began long ago even before the Hebrew exodus from Egypt. He will unite both Gentile and Jewish, male and female into one, through the Son of God and faith in his name and work. It was always God’s plan to bring man to himself after the fall. He chose the Hebrews, who came from Abraham. Abraham stood before God the LORD ‘justified by faith’, because he believed God!  Today those who call upon the LORD God, even our Father, as Jesus told us to pray, we can hope in him, find favor with the LORD and walk before him obediently.

The Hebrews knew this God, specifically in the verses above in Psalm 99, we find that they called upon his name, even Moses, Aaron, and the Prophet Samuel, he answered them. It is here we see that the covenant name of God is LORD or YHWH and relates to a special people and a special bond, formed upon a covenant. A covenant or agreement, a testament if you will, in which both parties have to do their part. In these verses we find the name LORD or YHWH in these verses used twice, the first word God here is Elohim, meaning True God, and the second word God here is El, or God.

In these verses we have a witness of the Psalmist as to what went on. The covenant name here used twice, forms a witness according to law, for out of the mouth of two let every word be established. So here he uses YHWH twice to emphasize according to Law, the true God, fulfilled his word. The last word God here, El, is used with lohim, to form Elohim. Using the Word El here relates to all who will see it that there are many who call upon their God or El, but the Hebrews who called upon God or El, was the Elohim, or the True God, who was their LORD YHWH. He was the only True and living God who delivered them, made a covenant with them, delivered them from Pharaoh, and went before them. It was a special covenant relationship, yet in that relationship, the Hebrews were known for their inventions before this God.

The word inventions here in the Hebrew means deed, practices, literally evil deeds. The word is from a primitive root  ‘alal /aw lal/’. This word means to make a fool of someone, to thrust forth in wickedness, to act or play the child, to act severely.  For these deeds or evil practices the Psalmist says the LORD our God, the God who took vengeance on their inventions. It is important here to understand this. It was a special bond, but one that was covenanted together by both parties. The Hebrews broke rank with that agreement or testament and followed other Gods and did wickedly. For this, they were sent into tremendous judgment, and experienced the ‘smelter of the LORD’ for their deeds.  The Northern tribes, known as Israel or Ephraim were scattered to the nations in the earth and Judah (along with Benjamin) was sent into bondage in Babylon for 70 years then returned to their homeland. But they never did have another nation called Israel, that is, until 1948. Today, Israel has many that returns to its shores as Hebrews, from among the tribes, this too, is a word fulfilled by the LORD, the covenant God.

As Gentiles and even Hebrews who also have come to know the real Messiah Y’SHUA as Lord and Savior, the new covenant or testament, is the ‘blood of the covenant’, or the ‘testament in my blood’ says the Lord.. We have come to know the true God, Yahweh, Yehovah, I AM that I AM, as ‘our Father’, but only through the work of Christ Jesus (Yeshua HaMassiach) on the cross.  We have known the forgiveness and joy of the Lord and his love for us, yet like the Hebrews, our own Inventions or ‘wicked practices’ and ‘deeds’ will get us into trouble.

Matthew 26:28  For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Hebrews 9:20  Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

Make no mistake about it, as the Psalmist says “the LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy. His mercy today, is through the Messiah, Yeshua or Jesus. But this God also does not make an excuse or allow sin and iniquity.  Vengeance is Mine, saith the LORD, I will repay, we have heard this phrase. The psalmist in the verses above says ‘thou tookest vengeance of their inventions’.

Psalms 147:11  The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

In the church today the true fear of God is lost. We have no real conviction or sight to see the wrath of God upon the nation of America or even the church who has lost its way. We have depended on mercy, forgiveness, and salvation since the time of Jesus Christ long ago. In America, however, while such things are good and do make us understand Gods mercy for us, we fail to understand his Holiness, his Vengeance, and his ‘terror’! Paul said it the first part of 2 Corinthians, “Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men”.

2 Corinthians 5:11a  Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;

Today we must stop playing the sopish or foolish child. We must stop our nonsense and get in with the LORD. It is time for those who truly hope in the LORD and his mercy through Jesus Christ to understand that God is going to take out vengeance upon wickedness. His judgment will first start in the church, then his wrath will fall on the godless and those who do not obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  If God sent harsh vengeance upon the Hebrews for their ‘inventions’ do you really think and believe he will ignore the same things in today’s church? Will he ignore the same childish wickedness in those who call themselves Christians, even though, the Hebrews did play the harlot and thereby experienced Gods wrath upon them?

2 Thessalonians 1:8  In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
1 Peter 4:17  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

What is coming is upon us now! While it is not devastating yet, the full measure of this vengeance is not been released yet! In America the levels of this vengeance will increase according to Gods will! But today, let us put off childish things and seek the LORD in earnest!

Luke 21:34  And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35  For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36  Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

We must learn from God and his dealings with the Hebrews. Today we still see God’s mercy in action. He is about fulfilling of his prophecy and his Word. He is not done with Israel, nor is he done forgiving and providing mercy. Let your heart repent before him today, seek him with your whole heart, for this God wants you in his presence and before him in LOVE. We can come to him boldly today through our Savior, do so now!

Coming Out of the Elect

come of all religious and worldly morass

Today the witness is growing daily as more speak out against the possibility of America staying as it is. Especially in the alternative media, television, radio, and the internet. The only ones who seem devoid of knowing what is going on is the media big three or four should I say. These would be ABC news, NBC news, CBS news, and Fox. Then add to this CNN, and myriad of newspapers who also seem to be in a fail safe mode. That is, the blindness, one sided approach, and socio-economic agenda that relates more to Stalin era policies than our own Constitutional Republic, which today is virtually dead. The consensus seems to be that we are or have been a Democracy, but today with our current administration in the White house, the socialist agenda and European political aspirations have taken over.

Of course, the above statements come from my belief that what is going on is the judgment of God upon this nation. As well, that this judgment will continue in waves and as a woman in the heaves of birth, called lovingly ‘birth pangs’ here. But we know that during the ‘birth pangs’ there is nothing loving about that. In fact, it brings the one giving birth to near death in the birthing process, so to speak that is. This nation today, no doubt, along with all the nations will face the most traumatic times in history.
It is here that I introduce you to the ‘Coming out of the Elect of God’, which in some camps relate the word Elect here to mean the nation of Israel in scripture, especially found in Revelation. I do not argue the fact that God chose the Hebrew nation, revealed himself to them, brought our Jewish Messiah through the line of David. The Lord also chose to bring in the Gentiles here through this Messiah and for you let it be known I am talking about Jesus Christ, which is his English name. For the Lord fulfilled all the prophecies and law given regarding him and we also call him his Hebrew messianic name, i.e. Y’Shua Ha Massiach. Of course some of the spelling variants apply here to Messiah, Messiach, Massiach etc. We know, of course, to whom we speak. Isaiah speaks to this Messiah coming and his book is filled with Prophecies concerning the Son, who was to come, has come, and is coming again.

A Light to the Gentiles

Isaiah 49:6  And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
Isaiah 49:8  Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
9  That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.
10  They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
11  And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.
12  Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.
13  ¶Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.

For the purpose of this article, however, the ‘Elect’ of God is described as those who through faith in Y’Shua, Jesus Christ and having received him by faith, follow him as LORD, keeping his commandments as he said too!  These are both male and female, Jew and Gentile, having become one in Christ Jesus.

Receiving Christ!

John 1:11  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
John 1:12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:16  And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

Keeping Christ’s Commands!

John 14:21  He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
John 15:10  If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
Acts 1:2  Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

The Covenant of Promise, Blessing of Abraham!

Galatians 3:14  That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Galatians 3:22  But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
Galatians 3:26  For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:28  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.29  And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

It is to that end, however that by faith, having believed in and trusted Christ Jesus who was sent by God the Father, we of the Gentiles, that is all nations and peoples who are not the Hebrews have seen the light and come out of grave darkness. It is that walk, however that we in America especially have had trouble, for the time span of decades have seen much division, trouble, argument, hatred, bitterness, strife, and carnal affections within our fellowships.

For instance when I speak of Commandments, the church in America thinks Law. This three lettered word “law” for the church in America brings fright. For to walk in this so called “Law” from the gentile American perspective is to walk out of salvation. But the truth is, Jesus said to keep his commandments. A word search of this word commandments in the new testament alone brings many scriptures to bear. There is no doubt, we are under grace, saved by the faith in Jesus, through his blood. This is the blood of the covenant, as Jesus the Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed for the sins of many. But to what I speak now, that is ‘commandments’ directly points to the people of God walking in what Paul called the ‘spirit’. For the deeds of the flesh fulfill the curse and the sin that will destroy us, but the deeds and walking in the Spirit will bring us into that place where we please the LORD. Now for many in the church just using the word commandment here is enough to turn them off. Lest you do so also, let me remind you of the scriptures above, “if you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love” so said the LORD himself. You cannot simply shred away his commandments from the Christian life, if you do, then you walk as a ‘child of disobedience’.  But this article is not on convincing you to keep commandments, it is on ‘coming out of Babylon’.

Come out of her, my people

Revelation 18:4  And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

The word ‘out of’ above means “from, out of a certain place.” Remember Lot, he came ‘out of’ Sodom along with his family. He was warned not to look back. His wife did so and became a pillar of Salt. What this tells us is that to come ‘out of ‘ Babylon, or any other place that has such ‘spirit of harlotry’ in it, means that we cannot come out just physically, but we must have a regenerated heart and soul in Christ. It is to that end, we must strive, for we are not of this world. We live in it, but we have overcome the lusts and desires through the LORD and the supply of his Spirit all bound up in the promises of God.

The warning in Revelation 18 is to those who are the people of God, the elect. These are the ones who are scattered in the earth as well as Babylon. For the warning is applicable to all believers. We are to come out of her. Her ways, lifestyle, lusts, and desires are not to be shared or desired by the people of God. The warning is that we must ‘come out’ of her, the harlot so you are not a partaker with her. She will received for her sins, coming plagues and when that is finished, then death.  We are not to have fellowship with or be a partaker with others either in fellowship or without a fellowship in the sins and desires of Babylon. For Babylon has become a refuge, a haven, and a prison for every kind of demon, lustful desire, and attitude against the LORD God.  We must not let Babylon infect us, although it may affect us. Through temptation, trial, persecution, hatred, and violence, yet we can overcome.  We must get up, get out, and remove ourselves from this.

The Trial of your faith

1 Peter 1:7  That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8  Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9  Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Mortify your members upon the earth

Colossians 3:4  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
5  ¶Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
6  For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
7  In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
8  ¶But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10  And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
11  Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Now let me say also that we as believers are to be ‘light’ and ‘salt’ to the world. We are to be those ready to bring to the unbeliever, the one who is lost, the true Hope we have in Christ. We cannot remove ourselves to Mars or Pluto, but we can through Christ remove or come out of this world. Then when the time comes to leave Babylon as well, we can then leave as Lot did, or find safety as Noah did!  For the LORD knows those who are his!

Having Escaped the Corruption that is the World

2 Peter 1:3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

1 John 5:4  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1 John 5:5  Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

It is here that we as the elect must put to death or mortify, through the Spirit of God the deeds of the body and the flesh. Although we lived in these before we came to Christ, we are now ‘new creatures in Christ Jesus’. Because we are as he is, like him, serving the Father in the name of the LORD Jesus, and for this, the world will hate us. As such, the world will come against us. This also is the ‘war’ that Satan, the dragon, the beast has been waging against those who followed the LORD God from the beginning. The war before Christ’s victory on the cross was a matter of being the ‘accuser of the brethren’. Now since Christ’s death on the cross, the devil is cast down, his accusations mean nothing and can’t touch us because of the ‘blood of the covenant’. But today, this enemy wages ‘war’ against the Saints of God and has done so since the early church.

The Overcame HIM, the beast, that old dragon called Satan

Revelation 12:11  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Revelation 12:17  And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 14:12  Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus
.

Therefore, let us understand our duty and follow Christ Jesus with a pure heart devoted to him. It is not for us to walk in the things as we used to do. Let us not give in to the old platitudes of ‘churchianity’ and the ‘sugar plum Jesus’ that fills American Christiandom. Let us throw it all off and follow the LORD with the desire to do what he asks of us. Our marching orders are in Revelation. We have overcome by the ‘blood of the Lamb’, but the race is not over yet. We must understand this race is run by us and we must have within us the ‘testimony of Jesus Christ’ to tell an lost world of our savior and his love. As we walk let us also keep the ‘faith of Jesus’ alive within our hearts and souls. Do this by seeking the LORD with all your heart, reading his word, keeping those things he says too! Walk daily, standing on the promises of God, fasting, praying, and looking to the Author and finisher of our faith, Jesus Christ, who overcame, and so shall we, if we faint not!

Footprints

Footprints
A psalm by the Watchman Dana G Smith

Footprints in the earth walking side by side
How have I made it thus far?
One of those are mine, the other is yours,
Oh LORD, how fast it has gone, life I mean!
I remember the times you did nourish me,
I know the times you lifted me up,
Then there was the correction you gave,
To this end, I fared well.

I see the life go on day by day,
Life in its courses, life rehearsing its actions,
Man living, man breathing, man dying,
But in the end, after it all, life has vanished,
Quickly, in a moment, How did I spend it?

1 Corinthians 15:19  If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable

Was it in your service?
Was my life selfish?
How did I really count the hours Oh Lord?
Did I ever think that it would end so abruptly?
Why have I been so foolish?
Why did I not learn quicker?
Why have I not done all I could have done?

So many regrets,
So many faults,
So much misery,
So much fantasy,
So much pride,
But in the end, all of it,
Vanity, which passes like the tide!

Thank God for the LORD who saved me,
Who taught me daily as I subscribed to his leading.
Thank God for his Love that embraced me,
Whilst I was stubborn and full of Pride.
Thank God for his salvation through Christ to me was given,
Yes, Thank God, for in this life, the footprints are over,
But the Eternal time with thee, Oh Lord have just begun!

1 Corinthians 13:12  For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

Yes, I Thank thee Oh LORD God, My eternal Father who has saved me,
By thy Grace, through this small avenue of Faith,
In Y’Shua [Jesus] Ha Massiach [Christ], my LORD,
To thee Oh Father, blessed be thee who has,
Through all this life redeemed me,
Fully,
Completely,
In Thee,
Oh God,
Forever,
and Ever~
Blessed be thy Name, Eternal One!

1 Thessalonians 4:13  ¶But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

God made the heavens
Genesis 17:1 ¶And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

Hear his voice, say it to yourself

IAM hath sent me…

The God of the Everlasting covenant and promise…

He hath come near to me…

It is in him that I now am…

For it is the I AM, the True God, the overpowering ONE of heaven…

It is he..

Have you seen him?

Have you heard his voice?

Surely you have seen his handiwork!

For the edges of the earth do hold up his feet…

The heavens are a backdrop to his presence…

He is the I AM, the ONE who is always, forever, has been…

It is he..
