thy days are numbered with the number of the beast, thy days are numbered down and counting

Isaiah 1:21  ¶How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.

The Harlot has stood up.
Yea, she has declared, “not I, NOT I”.
By what abominations do I live,
Am I judged by the LORD,
Nay, but we have please Him.
Our satchels are clean.
Our lips are pure.
Our hearts are as a crystal spring.
From whence cometh thy words?

Ezekiel 16:15  ¶But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.
Ezekiel 16:16  And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.

The mistress of abominations,
Yea, she does deny all her sins.
For thus the Watchman says,
Listen well O’ harlot,
Your eye is filled with pride,
The prick of the needle,
The goad of the stick,
The life well led in sin,
This does not move you.
You have made a covenant with death,
and with iniquity you are bedfellows,
Thy way is abominable to the LORD!

Micah 1:7  And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot.

Habakkuk whose name means ‘embrace’, faced a national crisis in Judah. The words describe the scene around him and these words are: violence, iniquity, grievance, spoiling, strife, contention, law is slacked, judgment never goes forth, wicked compasses the righteous, wrong judgment is the result. During the time of such crisis, Habakkuk was embraced by God, who answered his questions and found faith and sustenance in God who would see him through the coming trial upon the nation. This prophet would also ‘embrace’ others, and help them to find the God of their salvation as well.

In the beginning of the book, we find this prophet crying to God and asking how long it would be before he would hear. All this wickedness and violence were all around him, it looked as though the wicked and evil had taken over the place. The man of God had faith, but right now, he needed answers to the calamity that surrounded him. Where was God? Why was this happening? How long would the LORD allow it to go on? All this was on the prophets heart and mind, as well on the thoughts of the other righteous in Judah at the time.

Habakkuk 1:2 O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
3 Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
Habakkuk 1:4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth

The Echos of Judgment

By the Watchman Dana G Smith
Psalm, warning, judgment, America, watchman, repentance,

Revelation 17:2  With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3  So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4  And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5  And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

warning america

Behold she stirs,
For the Lord has called her,
To the Judgment, to the judgment,
Near to this, thy end!
For the nations have drunk,
They are intoxicated Oh Scarlet one,
For you have vanquished kings,
You have destroyed Princes,
Nations have become yours.

The whole world moveth, as drunk,
Thy wine has intoxicated them all.
They have become full of harlotries, abominations, and filth.
Thy brew has been brought to its fullness.

No more, no more!
It is done, the time of vengeance,
The day of wrath is begun.
I will surely destroy thy cup.
I will surely pour out the dregs.
Thy day Oh, Harlot has come.

Isaiah 40:15  Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.
16  And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.
17  All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.
18  ¶To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?

Comfort my people who cannot be comforted.
Confusion has come up.
Destruction has lain waste.
Thy plains are laid bare.
The forests are burned with fire.
The plague has arisen.
Death rides with its sword.

Up form the south,
Down from the north,
Unto the east,
From the west,
Thy enemies have risen.
Turn too, turn too!
Is there any escape?
They end is come!
There is no place to run,
To whom have ye sought,
Where do you look?

Jeremiah 3:25  We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God

.

Help, where is it…
During the day of destruction which comes?
Behold, there is no help!
The cries go forth,
The land is in confusion,
The churches are burned and few are left,
For the Land has heaved mightily,
The people are in disarray,
The violent seas give no path to escape,
For the swallowing tide reveals its course.

Cries, Cries in the land of contentment.
For the people who lacked nothing,
Yea, now to lack have they arrived.
For the pleasure is now turned to mourning.
The riches are no more,
Thy poverty has come,

Judges 10:14  Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation

.

Where is thy help?
Cry, cry to thy Gods,
Seek thy mediums and thy stargazers,
Run to them with familiars,
See if they can tear you out of my hand!
For the Day of the Lord is come upon thee.
Thy end is surely come.
Thy repentance was never heard,
For thy pride prevented this,
Now in thy abominations,
Yea in this,
You will surely meet thy end.

Ezekiel 28:16  By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Rebellion rises above the throne,
Yea, rebellion has filled the earth,
Thy blasphemous ways are before the Lord,
I will bring thee down oh covering cherub,
Thou who has brought thy ways before me.
Your conduct has come to an end.

The dreamer dreams, but cannot tell,
The Prophets speak, but not to reveal,
Behold, it is confusion.
The Lord God directs his will in the earth,
For the Lord sends confusion upon them,
He directs for the time has come.

Jeremiah 51:52  Wherefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will do judgment upon her graven images: and through all her land the wounded shall groan.
53  Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come unto her, saith the LORD.

Behold, blood flows on the plains,
War has come, where is thy peace,
There is none in the earth,
It has all disappeared.
The Day of the Lord has come.
I cannot see, saith the Watchman,
I cannot behold anything but judgment,
Judgment in the land,
For rebellion has swallowed the earth,
The Lord has now arisen,
And the day of destruction is here.

Judgment will echo its voice,
I will be heard saith the Lord,
For I have consoled thee in thy hurts,
I have come to thee as a fried,
I have sent warnings by my prophets,
But you have been full…
Satisfied, thy pleasures have made thee mad.

Do you know I have done this,
I have filled your cupboards,
I have brought forth your crops,
By my hand was the enemy stayed,
Thy prosperity and wealth were of me, saith the Lord,
Now, the plagues will come,
And thy enemies will be upon you.

For my judgment will echo,
Yea echo in your land,
Yea echo in your ears,
Yea echo in your heart,
Until I am heard by thee.
Then I will bring you before my throne,
There I will judge you,
Yea, according to thy ways.

Revelation 2:5  Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Revelation 2:16  Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
Revelation 2:21  And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
Revelation 2:22  Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
Revelation 3:3  Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Revelation 3:19  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Be advised O ye repentant ones…
Be comforted you who honor my name…
Yea all those who honor my commandments..
I will be heard of you,
See my face,
That during the day of wrath,
You will be hid.
For the fierceness of my wrath will come,
And all who do wickedly will face it,
None who do and follow their own ways of rebellion,
Yea, none of these will stand,
They will be as Chaff before the Eternal flame.
Be encouraged, seek my face,
Repent all ye people,
Seek the Lord God while the time is nigh…
For the hour is short and the judgment is set.

Jude 1:7  Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Proud Heart, Proud Words, and Judgment

Proud Heart, Proud Words, and Judgment

By the Watchman Dana G Smith
Words: 4480

Keywords: Jeremiah, Judah, Lord, God of Israel, Wickedness, Proud, Sign

Israel

If there were ever a proud nation, that would be America, or so the thought comes. But the truth is, Israel, who knew the True and living God, saw its own pride and downfall as well. In fact since the time of the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem in Jeremiah’s day, they have faced the fact that their kingdom, temple, and ways were gone. In a moment, destroyed through the judgment the LORD God had sent. It was nevermore to be built again. Nevermore, that is until God brought his people back from all the world were he dispersed them.

As for America, its people, and the church in this nation, well pride goes with the territory of being one of most blessed nations on earth. That is, until the same God who destroyed Israel, Jerusalem, and its temple, sends judgment in its fullness upon this nation. In this we must understand that we are now and have been seeing God slowly withdrawing his blessing and sending his judgments upon this country. But we must also know that we are surely not the most wicked of the nations on earth. No, likewise, Israel and Judah was not as well. The one item both nations have in common is the fact they were both founded by and blessed through the LORD God. It was the LORD who established Israel and it was the LORD who saw that this nation would be created and also who blessed it raising it to the top of all nations.

But the one thing we must not do is follow pride with proud hearts and proud words. There is no doubt today, there are more and more who see things going wrong. Many still don’t understand and will stay that way, in darkness, until the very end. Others will be proud and suffer the judgment for it. While still others will understand, repent, and seek the LORD. This is what I call a remnant. The remnant believers who will turn to the LORD in all their efforts to find him and his hand upon them.

As we ponder these thoughts, let us stroll through Chapter forty four of Jeremiah and find some important points that pertain to us. Points that we can learn from. Points that will save us trouble and heartache in the end.

Thus the Word Came:

After judgment upon Judah, with Babylon destroying the temple, Jerusalem, people, and carrying some captive along with the holy things, there was a remnant in the land of Judah. People who the LORD God had allowed to be there. He could have thoroughly erased Israel and all its people. Then this God could have raised up stones for a people. But in his mercy, he did not! It was during this time that Jews who scattered out of Judah and its surrounding lands for the high hills when the Babylonian armies marched in, began to come back. The King of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar had appointed a king in the land, giving him orders and then left.

Through intrigue, this king was killed and the remaining princes with their men sought Jeremiah in an effort to find out if God would bless their leaving Judah. You can read all this in chapters 42 through 44 of Jeremiah. To make a long story short, the LORD told them to remain in Judah or they would face famine, sword, and death in Egypt. This group ignored the Words of God and took all the people and Jeremiah to Egypt. We take up the story there as Jeremiah is speaking to this stubborn group of Jews who would not listen.

The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah. As with all the words the LORD gave to Jeremiah concerning his people, they would not listen. There is no doubt even today in our nation, God continue’s to give a word to his people, but they along with the example of these Jews, persistently do not listen.

Thus another Word for these Jews came, A very important Word!

Jeremiah 44:1
¶The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which dwell in the land of Egypt, which dwell at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying,

Judgment on Judah

You would think by now the Jews in both Israel and Judah would understand that when Jeremiah spoke a Word of the LORD, it came true. None believed Jerusalem, its temple, and many people would be destroyed. None believed God would dare judge his own chosen people, those called by his name. None believed this LORD would have all his holy things carried captive to Babylon by Goyim, unclean gentiles. But this God did.

Yet for all this Jeremiah brings a word to remind these people that the LORD [covenant and personal name of God] of Hosts [the highest authority over all agencies there is] and the God of Israel [their own personal God who was called by their name, Israel] had brought evil upon them, destroying Judah and making it desolate!

This people had their own name ‘Israel’ attached to the God who loved them so. By their own pursuits and lusts they sought after other Gods who were not Gods. In doing so they defiled the name of God. They thus provoked God to anger for their persistent wickedness and harlotry by going after other Gods who were not Gods. They did these things which even their forefathers, nor they had ever heard of. Yet they did eventually hear and do wickedly with other Gods. The stage being set for the judgment they had received.

Jeremiah 44:2
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwelleth therein,

Jeremiah 44:3
Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers.

I Rose Early and Sent Prophets

Jeremiah reminds them that before this destruction of their beloved Jerusalem, temple, lifestyle, and people, God had arose early. He did so [for we know God doesn't ever sleep so how can he rise early] by sending in his voice on earth to Israel, through his servants, the prophets. He sent them with his word to tell them not to do this abomination and to repent.

As with many people, they did not listen, choosing instead to ignore the warnings and still went ahead pursuing their own thing, so to speak. The continued in their wicked ways and harlotry. As a result, God sent his destruction, but not before many, many years of prophets who warned his people of judgment to come if they did not repent.

Moreover, God still judges nations and peoples. God still expects his people to not do wickedly! If God judged both Judah and Israel [the northern kingdom] for their wickedness he will judge us and other nations. If God destroyed his own temple, sent his holy things for use in the service of the temple captive to Babylon along with his people, he will also destroy the harlot church, send his people into a smelter, and let all people know he is God, the LORD; who is governor of the nations and ruler of his people who call him LORD! He will also destroy all other idols, Gods, and powers who oppose him and his righteous ways!

Jeremiah 44:4
Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.

Jeremiah 44:5
But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.

Jeremiah 44:6
Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.

Proud in Spite of the Judgment I Sent

But unbelievable as it sounds, in spite of the judgment, the remnant who were left in the Land still were not humbled, nor did they fear God. They were certainly afraid of the judgments God sent, that is why they wanted to go to Egypt where none of these things occurred. This thought in their minds was comforting for some reason because in their delusion they thought this God could not or would not come after them in Egypt. But they forgot one thing, they were a covenant people. Ones who had a history of knowing this God. Their forefathers had known this God, seen his hand at work. Now they were in Egypt defying what Jeremiah had told them, which was straight from God, “Do not go down into Egypt”.

Jeremiah 44:10
They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.

The Proud Heart “We will not Listen”

Not only were this a proud rebellious lot, but now they stood defiant before Jeremiah. This is a problem for all flesh. If you love death, then go ahead and hate this God. For surely death will come if you in pride and foolishness hate the LORD God. This group of remnant Jews stood with all their wives, and a great multitude before Jeremiah and stubbornly told him, in our lingo, “go get lost Jeremiah.”

Jeremiah 44:15
¶Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,

Stand in the Old Paths & Walk Therein!

Jeremiah had told them earlier to ‘stand in the good way, and walk in it.’ This would be where they would find rest and peace in their souls. But walking in the LORD God’s commands and not going after other Gods was not in their logic. They ignored the watchmen God had sent, ignored his stern warnings to walk in the ways or commandments of the LORD. These watchmen ‘sounded the trumpet’ as a warning blast to Gods people. They were saying “awaken you who sleep, awaken you who do not walk in the true ways of the LORD, repent and seek him so that this judgment does not find you”! Yet in all this, God’s own people ignored it! They were fine, rich, and in need of nothing!

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.

Condemned by Their Own Words

Be careful what you say before God. I can tell you without reservation or equivocation, that God will hold you to what you speak. Even if you speak foolishly! This group of remnant Jews, who saw the words Jeremiah spoke come to pass, still did not fear the LORD. They spoke directly to the Prophet and Watchman of God saying “we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth.” That is astonishing to me that after all this they were so hardened and foolish that they would challenge God and his prophet, a proven one as well. There was no guess work in this, Jeremiah had proven he was a Prophet to all of Judah. In addition they said, we will “burn incense unto the queen of heaven, pour out drink offerings to her, just as we all have been doing all along.”

A careful study of this will also reveal they saw that when they did this, i.e. serve other Gods that no evil came upon them. Of course this is a lie. For God had been sending judgments all along. It was the grace of God that forebear upon them. He had been warning them through his prophets. This people took this forbearance and grace of God as the work of their foolishness and idol God they were serving. They thought any blessing, peace, and comfort came from this God, the queen of Heaven.

Jeremiah 44:17
But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

The queen of heaven they were serving was the Babylonian goddess, Ishtar. Which is where our own ‘statue of liberty’ replica came from. They made her cakes, and gave her drink offerings. All of which brought the abomination to the level of unbelievable, since they had flour and grain offerings to the real God, along with drink or wine offerings. This worship involved the whole family. The problem here is this people did wickedly and only left off from following their harlotry after it was too late and God had begun to send judgment. When this judgment came, they did not want to see it as judgment for their harlotry, but saw it as failing to serve this Goddess Ishtar. Much of the world today is still involved in worshipping demons in this fashion. Yes, these people do so see demonic influence, supernatural occurrences, and more to convince them that what they do is true and certain. But in fact it is a lie and a delusion.

Jeremiah 44:18
But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.

Jeremiah 44:19
And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?

The LORD God Acknowledges and Sends Judgment for their own Words!

The LORD God then accepts and says that the words they have spoken out of their own mouths will in fact be fulfilled by their own hands. For when they do the things they have said they would do, then judgment would be upon their own heads, through their own hands.

Here scripture doesn’t say why all the crowd went together against the LORD. But they did. Maybe many followed the crowd and what the majority felt. In other words peer pressure. It is hard to say, but no doubt if they or some of them had just said to the LORD, “we repent” and followed the words with heartfelt action like going back to Judah, then God would have heard and forgiven them. But they did not!

In fact the LORD God said to Judah, i.e. all that dwell in the land of Egypt, saying “I will watch over them for evil and not for good.” Further God says that “all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword, by famine, until there be an end to them.”

Jeremiah 44:24
Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the LORD, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt:

Jeremiah 44:25
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.

Jeremiah 44:26
Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.

Jeremiah 44:27
Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.

The LORD Establishes a Sign of Whose Word will Stand!

It is here that the LORD says some will escape the sword that comes upon Egypt. This sword comes by Babylon again. Those who escape will be a witness, again of the fact that the Word of the LORD comes true. That the stubbornness and pride of the people met the Words of the LORD through his Prophet. Thus this remnant will know that the Words of the LORD stood and not the words of foolish and prideful men who refuse to repent and lead their families after the ways of the True and Living God, the God of Israel.

Jeremiah 44:28
Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or theirs.

Jeremiah 44:29
And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:

The Counsel of the LORD Stands Forever!

Even today we have the same kind of men, women, and nations of peoples. All who foolishly make claims, speak unwise, and pursue things that will bring death upon them. Today the whole world will someday meet with the ‘son of perdition’ mentioned in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. This will be a wicked one who will lead multitudes in delusion against the LORD. He will speak against the God of heaven and seem to get away with it, that is until the LORD returns and puts an end to it.

Today we find that in America there are as well many who continue to foolishly and with pride speak out. They are going to do this or that! They will do as they feel! No one is going to tell them what to do! They will believe in this God or that one. They will believe in a force and not any True God. Then there are those, who as fools, say in their heart, ‘there is no God.’

We have many churches, denominations, and Christians who think all this warning is allot of bunk. It is trash, it is old fashioned! It will never happen say they! God is love, he won’t do this to the church and America. Well, all I can say is this, wait and see whose words come to pass, the Word of the LORD or your own! Be careful, The “Counsel of the LORD” stands forever!

Psalms 33:10 The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.
11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

I close with this my friends, here are some scripture portions. The Word of God say’s the ‘Eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him’. Do you hope in this God, even our Father through Jesus Christ [Y'SHUA Ha Massiach]? Do hope in his mercy? Do you seek him, cry to him, and face troubles today? If so, the ‘Eye of the LORD’ is upon you! His ‘angels encamp around you who fear him and this God will deliver you.’ It is here that you who trust in HIM, truly so, in faith, in action, and with a whole heart need to believe and receive this fact, there are many afflictions of the righteous, but this God will deliver you. All those who trust in Him will not be left desolate, for he will always be there. Yes there will be trouble, a smelter, persecution, and trials, but this God will never leave you nor forsake you. In fact, you may meet death for your faith, for the servant is not above his master. We are called to follow at all costs. The question is, what are you going to do? These scriptures are mighty ‘weapons to use in prayer’ and in your daily life. There are many such scriptures, but these are just a few.

At the end of this is a prayer psalm. It is what I call a Prayer warriors Psalm. If you are facing troubles, you can make this Psalm a prayer, tailor it to your needs and pray it out loud! God is faithful, he cannot lie, will not forsake you, and no one who hopes in him will be desolate. He will bring you unto himself.

The Eye of the LORD is upon them that Fear Him, those that Hope in His Mercy!

Psalms 33:18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

The LORD Who hears, delivers, and Saves!

Psalms 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Psalms 34:17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

The LORD Redeems His Servants who Trust in Him!

18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
22 The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

The Warring Prayer for the Saint who is facing troubles!

This is a great Biblical prayer for those facing troubles, use this as a base for you praying against those enemies, either flesh or spirit who assail you. Some parts may not fit your situation, use the parts which do, make it your own prayer, and use it in your defense against the enemy.

War Declared

War Declared 3,000 Casualties Nearly 1,500 Fear Dead "White House Admits Sinking of One 'Old Battleship' and Destroyer in Pear Harbor"

This Newsletter will go out on the Fourth of July, 2010. It is in this celebration that people will be having a good time. From picnics to parades, fishing to bbq; everyone will be doing something on that day. Flags will be flown on some houses, and for many this will be a day to reflect on the day itself. For many others, they will give no thought as to it. They take for granted the blessings and go on with their lives anyway.

As I reflect on this nation and the cost in blood to maintain what we have today, I believe the true cost is lost. We fight wars today, and even when I was in the Navy, we fought then. It was Vietnam, and lots of good men and women lost their lives, were hurt, and more were disabled permanently. We were fighting communism they said and even then we were told if we did not stop them in ‘Nam’, they would take over all of Southeast Asia. Well, we pulled out, lost the war, and communism never took over the region. Yes communism took Vietnam, but today it looks more like a thriving democracy than anything else. I can’t help but ponder what happened! Where was the threat? Were we lied too? A lot of good people died on both sides and for what? Real Estate, a name, an ideal like communism, or what?

Today we are still at war. Obama has expanded the ‘Special Forces’ ability to chase Terrorists in many more nations. We are in Afghanistan, still, and in Iraq, still! People keep dying and we still fight on. No war has been called or declared, but we are at war just the same! As we fight and as our young people go to war for this nation of political hacks who push the war, our borders here at home are open and undefended. Our freedoms are being lost to socialism and the modern wave of democratic ideals are brought to us by a man from Kenya who just happens to be President. Still, we fight overseas and still at home we seem to be losing more freedoms daily.

Again, I can’t help but ponder what happened! I know the answer, it is called sin. A three letter word but for many in America they can’t spell it. Sin, you gotta be kidding? The brain goes numb, a puzzled look appears on the face, and they say its okay, God forgives. Or maybe they don’t believe in God. Yet, others still see God on an extended vacation. In all the tides of corruption, sin, disobedience to God, and a nation of filth prevails.

In the heat of the battle, during the winter and after, this nation struggled against a mighty giant. They fought.

George Washington gave general orders, and said the following in conjunction with those orders:
“[T]he hour is fast approaching, on which the Honor and Success of this army, and the safety of our bleeding Country depend. Remember officers and Soldiers, that you are Freemen, fighting for the blessings of Liberty — that slavery will be your portion, and that of your posterity, if you do not acquit yourselves like men.” –George Washington, General Orders, 1776

These men and women risked it all! They lived on the edge of disaster, but courage, hope, prayers, and belief in God, that the Providential Hand he would extend to grant them a nation free of Tyranny. Today, though, the very things our forefathers fought for, we are losing. Freedoms, the Constitution, and the Providential Hand of God who fed us and kept us for all those years, are all gone. In its place is a new breed of politicians who see a new path amidst the wave of the Fourth of July banners and flags. They see a new constitution, a new flag, a new national anthem, and a nation of many Gods. They have destroyed prayer in school, the bible’s authority, the holiness of the believer, and any hope that people may have in seeing a rebirth in Faith in God.

Now I don’t need to prove the above, I already have through countless hours of Radio shows, biblical research, indepth news, and watching the whole thing become unraveled before my eyes. I balance the news in one hand with the evidence of the destruction of America. In the other hand I hold up the bible and the judgment of God for Americans to see. As I weigh the two, the evidence mounts, America is fast losing grip on who she was and is today! The America I knew is gone. It is that same America that during World War Two, when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, my Grandfather who was the City Manager for Catalina and also worked as a Game Warden told my dad to take a gun and go down to the Wharf and shoot anything that falls out of the sky. They expected an invasion. But even that America is gone now. The one remaining few old soldiers would recognize.

In the course of the founding Fathers moving to bring in a new nation, Patriot Forefather John Adams wrote to his wife Abigail. The date was July 3, 1776 and John told her of their efforts to bring forth a ‘Declaration of Independence’.

John Adams wrote:
“Yesterday, the greatest question was decided, which ever was debated in America, and a greater, perhaps, never was or will be decided among men. You will see in a few days a Declaration setting forth the causes which have impelled us to this mighty revolution, and the reasons which will justify it in the sight of God and man. It ought to be commemorated as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shews, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations from one end of this Continent to the other from this time forward forever more. You will think me transported with Enthusiasm but I am not. I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory. I can see that the End is more than worth all the Means. And that Posterity will triumph in that Day’s Transaction.”

Today I sound the death knell upon the tombs of those who have died for this nation. Shed blood, is the holy impartation to the ground we have stood on. There is no greater friend than to have that friend lay down their lives for you or me. Many have done so and even today, many others are even now dying in foreign lands for a cause that is New world order in scope and is not at all what our Forefathers intended. As they fight there, we are losing America here!

Leviticus 18:22  Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
23  Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
24  Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
25  And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
26  Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
27  (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)
28  That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.

Leviticus 20:23  And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

Deuteronomy 9:4  Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee

In closing let me say that the LORD God warned Israel not to do as those nations before them. Nations that the LORD God cast out! In the above scriptures, if you read them in their context closely, the listing of the sins that caused the nations to be cast out before Israel resembles the sins now currently being enjoyed in America. The warning is clear, beware oh thou foul wretch, for the sins that you boast in, will be the death of you!

They did abominable things. Fornication, homosexuality, immorality of all kinds, soothsaying, witchcraft, and much more. Saying that the ‘land would spue them out’, if they did the same things, Israel was warned by the very God who brought them out of bondage from Egypt. Today, this God is the God of the nations and his hand of judgment is upon this nation. He will requite blood for sin, and the judgment for rebellion.

Moreover, the voices today of Holiness Preachers are replaced by ‘prosperity gospels’, ‘social gospels’, and ‘self healing awareness seminars’. The church’s have no altar to mourn for sins, weep for lost souls, or seek God at length. People in the church are out for self, money, mammon, and a good time. The salt has lost its savor and the light is hid under a bushel. Sin is rampant in the church and holiness is out. The church is deceived, deluded, and along with America will see the hand of judgment severely upon her. While they wait for deliverance, the hand of judgment abides yet.

The warning is clear America! The bells that used to sound from hallowed fires of the Holy Ghost revival in the Churches now are silent. Those who warn of sin and judgment are mocked and ridiculed. Just as the Prophets before them, those who do warn are not listened too! It is time to heed the Word of God. It is time, for those who will listen, to seek the LORD, in mourning, weeping and wailing for the sins of the people. It is time, to seek the LORD that you may be hid in the Day of the LORDS Wrath!

For those who say this won’t happen, let this warning find you; “The Day of the Watchman Approaches”!

Micah 7:4  The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.

In a Post Script, one older article I wrote, I had thought it lost. But I found it in an older database! I have had some ask for it when I spoke of it. It was written in June of 2006! It is called the “Second American Civil War and the coming Apocalypse”. You can find it at the link below!

The Road meets the 'intersection of life and death'

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

The sun was a bright one this morning and the air crisp. I hiked the workout bag back onto my shoulder as I headed to the car. “Thank you Lord for this day of mercy” I said out loud as I walked across the parking lot. I rolled down the window, put on some music as I waited for my companion to arrive. While I did so, the lot just off where the car was parked revealed golden and dry branches of various growth. They stood there, bending over slightly because of the winds we get here. As I surveyed the scene, indeed they were sentinels as to the changing of the gaurd of seasons.

The mountain stood before me as another beacon of the times we now were in. The year of 2010 is not over, but in all, nothing surprising occurred. More of what we had been warning about kept going on and the current administrations attempts to bring more socialized ways to America had been passed in the healthcare legislation. Although the dem’s succeeded and in so doing brought to forefront to many Americans how different this current sitting President actually was. The information guru’s at the White House kept churning out their doctrines and in the midst of it tried to convince Americans that the economy was doing fine and all was well in their world. The trouble was then and today, unemployment is not much better, banks on the troubled list amount to just under 900, and many experts outside of the White House see the economy world wide, but especially in America headed for a deep abyss.

Life is what America had always been about. It seemed at times to be in the dark grip of trouble during the past. She had known depression, bankruptcies, unemployment, war, death, and much more. But in it all, her citizenry had managed to pull together and bring the nation of freedom out of the slump. Yet in it all, life was what America had been about. Even today, that four letter word is what many Americans pursue. Even so, as they do, the way they go about it has been affected by current troubles. It is hard to pursue life, liberty, and happiness if your unemployed or your children are in the ongoing war that never ends. It is hard to find peace if all you see is the world in chaos and trouble. Yet for many Americans, the things they pursue, literally allows them to bury their heads in the sands of this nations many facets of pleasure. This is the current battle cry of America and many nations. That is pleasure and fun. So much so, it means everything. Paul had something to say on this in Timothy. Paul said that the people of these “last days” would face “perilous times” then after a litany of words that described a society that was totally devoid of goodness, he went on to say these people in this society would be “lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God.” They would pursue all manner of pleasures and lusts no matter what anyone or any God would say about it. The history books are replete with nations and peoples who thought this way, i.e. ‘Sodom, Gomorrah, Nineveh, Israel, Judah, Babylon, Rome and others’.

2 Timothy 3:1  ¶This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

As I drove this morning heading home, I came to an intersection. As the car sat idling, I waited for the many cars and trucks to pass by so I could enter the busy four lane highway before me. As I watched these cars and the people in them you could see that they were busy in their own worlds heading for their own little destination. They had jobs and/or some other important engagement to get to. For them, at this moment, it was the only thing on their mind. Slowly the traffic cleared then one last car turned off onto the road I was on and a woman in an Suv drove by.  I watched as she turned and drove on. Her medium brown hair made up and shining in the morning light. She gripped the steering wheel as if it was going to get away and went on by me. She never looked to the right or left, and had a fixed vision on what lay ahead of her. The car went on by me as I watched her. It was then, I heard the Spirit speak to me. The morning light reflected on the hood of my car. There was no traffic and the quietness of the morning was evident. There I was, alone, and the phrase was spoken clearly to me, “the Intersection of Life and Death”. At that moment, at that instant, I had received what I had been seeking the Lord for.  I go through this every week.

It was that on which I was to write for Sunday’s newsletter.  Life and Death, but as I thought just for a moment there, it seemed like an eternity. Yet, I knew this woman was in her Life, she was busy, probably had family, and many who loved her. But does she know where she is headed? Does she know that the intersection will be before her someday. That place, this road called life, many are on it right now. They follow this road and it is always before them. They cannot escape it unless they divert the life God gave them. They cannot turn off this road until the intersection is there. I read daily and it really hits me when I work on our Warn Radio programs, that is, this intersection where life and death cross. You see, they don’t meet. They are strangers, both have different jobs, occupations if you will. One takes from the living and brings them to a plane of none physical existence. This is the place, we as humans have never transferred to go and come back again. That is, on a continued basis. There are those who have died and come back, but these people are not who I am talking about. Because in that instance of life and death, it is a moment between the soul of man and the God who made them.

This woman will cross the ‘intersection of life and death’ one day. When she does it will affect all who have known her. The God whom we serve, that is, if you serve him, is full of mercy and compassion. It is he who is the God of all Souls, they belong to him. As the Prophet Ezekiel writes saying of the LORD which says this “Behold, all souls are mine.” This statement alone should make people understand they have one to answer too. But this is not enough for them. Further Ezekiel writes of the LORD which says further “the soul that sinneth it shall die.”

Ezekiel 18:4  Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Furthermore, this intersection of death is found by many daily. It never ends, it never rests, and it does not have mercy. Life on the other hand, shows no mercy either. We think it does, but it does not. It can make us think it provides mercy and health. But both of these things come not from Life nor from the men of the worlds wisdom who profess such mercy and health. There is only one source, one in whom is true mercy and in him is life. It is the Father, the LORD God of all who said, that the “soul that sinneth it shall die.” They shall die physically which is what the road of death does, and the soul of that body, that which God made will face then this God who shall judge according to his righteous judgment.  God is no respecter of persons. If a person sows to the flesh, that flesh will reap corruption. If that person does not take care of his soul, that soul shall die. This is the road that is before all people today. One of life, which one day shall meet death. When death appears, that soul shall meet that uncertain appointment in a time where time is no more. They shall be alive, but yet dead, awake but as if in a dream. They will have no power where to walk or place themselves in this world, for this is that place where God dwells. He encompasses it all, i.e. ‘time, space, dimension, past, present, future, and all things that exist’. They all exist and are held together in him.  It is a place where the true frailty of mans nature is revealed. All his cockiness, pride, wicked ways, and rebellion will be revealed. Nothing can be hidden in this place. It is all in the open. As such, all deeds you have done in this life will be taken and laid before God in his righteousness. Every thought, deed, word, and thing you have done or not done shall be revealed.  It is in that moment in eternity before a holy God that the Apostle Paul wrote this to reveal what it is like:

2 Corinthians 5:11  Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

Yes, terror, that is what men and women will experience when they are before this God! That is, many of them. These are those who have proudly gone their own ways before God and did not consider what he has done to deliver them from his wrath. A Godly and righteous wrath that says, “the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” It has set the penalty, it is death. God has also set the road map saying “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”

Hebrews 9:27  And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment

You don’t believe in God you say, well you will! You don’t think there is a hell, better re-think that because when you get there, you will know it exists. You don’t think that sodomy is wrong, or that fornication is against the Lord, and that iniquity is not all that bad. Further you see nothing wrong with abortion.  You believe you  are your own God and say in your heart “what need do you have of this other God whom you cannot see”! You have made it through life quite well, no thanks to this God whom you cannot see or touch, so in your heart, he doesn’t exist. If he does, he is inept and off somewhere in eternity playing golf.  Further, as with many other people, you can think, reason, and solve problems. We can do this ourselves you say, after all your religious ways bring trouble.  Yes, these are what people believe and follow on their road in life. All of these are before them as they travel and one day these fallacies will fall headlong into the abyss of eternity. When they do, you will drop right along with them and will be facing this God.

But you see God knows your frame, that your dust! He knows that you are as a vapor, as grass or flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow. Even if you lived to be 1000 years old, it is still a drop in the bucket of the waters of the eternal grace of God and his gift of life with him. Although God is terror to the wicked, yet he is full of ‘mercy and grace’. He loveth all people.

Psalms 103:14  For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
15  As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
16  For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
17  But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;
18  To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them

Moreover, as he loves them, so he also has provided for them. The Apostle Paul in his Mars hill speech spoke to the men gathered there which discussed the wisdom of the day saying that God “commandeth all men everywhere to repent.” The reason Paul said this, is that God “had appointed a day in which he judge the world in righteousness.” God would judge the world for their rebellion and sin or for their righteousness. The result would be either salvation or death.

Acts 17:30  And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
31  Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead

That is why, this God sent his only begotten Son to bear the sins of many. As Hebrews says “Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many.” This is the “intersection of life and death.” On this intersection is the cross that bore the ‘sinless Passover lamb’, the Son of God. Just as God Passed over the sins of the Israelites who applied the blood and followed his word of instructions so he would Passover the sins of all who applied the blood of the “Passover Lamb.” In applying it, we receive him.  Daily people are driving right pass the cross and are so caught up in their lives and where they are headed, they don’t really see where it will take them!

Hebrews 9:28  So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Scripture tells us in John that “as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe [trust in, rely upon, cling too] on his name.” These would be people who would be born again,  not by the will of man, nor by mans wisdom, and certainly not with mere head knowledge. They would be ‘born again’ by the power of God.  As our Lord walked on this earth, the devils would cry out speaking who he was, but he bade them to be quiet.  You see the devils not only believed who he was, but they knew he was God. They believed and they were not saved! It takes more than mere head belief to access this. It takes a heart and a soul that cries out. Therefore, it is a true born into the Lord God experience, brought about by the Lord God himself. It does not come by man nor mans wisdom!

John 1:11  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The road of life is filled today and in America we as always continue to be pre-occupied. We have religious ways, thoughts, and ideas. But many  have not a clue as to what I am speaking about. Jesus put it bluntly when he said “ye shall die in your sins; for if ye believe [trust in, cling too, rely upon] not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”

John 8:24  I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

America has a hard time thinking that she is in danger just as Israel of old was. Or for that matter as was Nineveh, Rome, or other nations that ceased to exist. We trust in our science, our government, doctors, lawyers, war machine, technology, and most important ourselves to get us through. We take not one thought of how we act before God. If we did, we would not do the things we continue to do and foster in this nation. We are destroying all the foundations of liberty, life, and of God. The churches are floundering in materialism and faithlessness. They are as devils who believe God exists, but that is the extent of it. They continue in their own ways and keep the religious aspect, all the while they have not a clue what is about to befall them.

America herself is on this road, one that all nations take. The road they are on will cross one day at the intersection of “life and death.” Many will say then, “LORD, LORD”, but he will say, “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” The point here our Lord is saying, belief with obedience, for he says “  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.”

Matthew 7:22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26  And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

The road you walk today will lead you as it will lead all people to the ‘intersection of life and death’. Jesus Christ has already been there and triumphed over it. Take note of this and apply it, for God raised him from the dead. He is at the right hand of the Father and coming back again soon. It is he who triumphed over all principalities and powers! It is he who made a way for all men to find this true life in God through Christ Jesus.  The trouble is, many will never find it  let alone believe it, and surely never follow it! If you know this God our Father and his Son Jesus [Yeshua] Christ [Massiach], then thank God for this gift and walk in him. As Paul wrote the Colossians, “rooted and built up on him, stablished in the faith.” For the pathway, this road you walk will surely find the “intersection of life and death.” It is at this point in our life, being appointed unto death, we would of surely found death if it had not of been for our Lord Yeshua ha Massiach, Jesus Christ, the only Begotten Son of God!

Hebrews 9:28  So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

2 Peter 3:14  Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Colossians 2:6  As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7  Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8  Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10  And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11  In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12  Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13  ¶And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14  Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15  And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

In closing, be comforted in these verses that you who know him, keep yourself in him. However, if you do not know him, then take this “Passover Lamb” and apply the blood, so God will Passover your sins and bring you into his Kingdom.

Shalom, be found in him,

Setting the Scene:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For many years now I have been speaking of the “overcoming faith” that we find in Habakkuk during his time on this earth. He indeed as did his people faced a time of judgment. We will not focus, however, on that particular judgment. We will focus on the thing which he says at the end of his faith statement. Make note of this, for it is important.
When Habakkuk speaks of judgment in verse sixteen, it is that which he heard and understood to be. When the Lord judges a nation, any nation, there is nothing like it at all. He says of this upon hearing of this judgment, “my belly trembled, my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself.” Now to be sure, he heard the Word of the Lord here. Upon being in the presence of the Lord, he could not stand up, for rottenness entered his bones. This is another way of saying, I could not stand straight. He literally trembled from the presence of the Lord, for he is flesh, his belly trembled as well and his lips quivered at the hearing of the voice. Mere flesh in the presence of the Lord God, who spoke to him. Habakkuk further says “that I might rest in the day of trouble.” This is the prophet speaking of the coming judgment to his land and the faith and hope that when that occurred, he would rest, not worry, and the Lord would take care of him. After all, Habakkuk did not forsake the Lord, but in the coming judgment, he would look to the Lord.
Habakkuk 3:16  ¶When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.
17  Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
18  Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19  The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
He continues with the coming judgment and what would occur. First the Lord would invade with his troops, as he told Habakkuk he would do in chapter one. The result of this also would be the Fig trees would not blossom, nor fruit on the vines, and the labor of the olive would fail. In this we see, no olive oil, no wine [fruit] and no food [figs]. When war occurs and invasions as this whatever is there is taken by those who invade. The fields would be in empty as those who worked them would be fighting, dead, or carried away captive. The flocks would be removed by the conquering hordes and any left in the stalls would also be taken. In short, after such a nightmare, there would be nothing left!  This thought, would of been on the mind of this Prophet, knowing from other instances that this is the case. Yet, in spite of any worries, and or fleshly concerns, this Prophet made this statement, that even though, all is removed, “Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation”. He went on to say that he had a secret, which was the LORD. It would be the LORD who would “will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.”
In the Prophets day there were two ‘high places’. One that the Lord walks upon and directs those who seek him to walk there with him. The other are the High places that follow other Gods and their ways. The same High places that Israel worshipped upon and forsook the Lord their God.
I want to point out here that in the section above where Habakkuk says “he will make me to walk upon mine high places” is a special word. One maybe you have heard of before. It is “High places” and the Hebrew word for “high place” is ‘bamah’, strong’s 1116. It has several different meanings; the “back of an animal or of a man”, the “incline or back of a mountain” or the “block of a stone or grave of a saint.”
This word is interesting because the word “bamah” is tied to a description many use of Satan and as a matter of record, it has also been used to related to Barack Obama.
“I will ascend above the heights [bamah] of the clouds; I will be like the most High” (Isa. 14:14),
However, for our purposes, “bamah” in Hebraic expression, meaning God’s protection of his people. It is expressed in the exalted nature of Israel, whose God is the Lord. When we read “he made him to ride on the high places of the earth”, or read Habakkuk saying “He will make me to walk upon mine high places”, it directly reflects that the Lord God, during judgment, trouble, and chaos will lift him above and provide for him. It is here that the Prophet plainly states that although trouble was coming to his fellow countrymen, it would not destroy him. His lot was not their lot, because he walked in the ways of his God and knew this God was one who kept his covenant.
“He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock” (Deut. 32:13; cf. Isa. 58:14).
One final note here on ‘bamah’, which is an interesting word. We will see trouble in America during Obama’s reign, ‘bamah’, who may be the one that wants to rise above the clouds as recorded in Is 14. It is noteworthy here also to say that the same word noting the “rising above the heights”, is the same word “high places” used to describe Gods provision for his people who follow his Word in faith and obedience. Am I saying Obama is the type here, that is the Anti Christ, or just someone who has a desire to rise above the heights’ , no matter who he is, the ‘bamah’ Hebrew word here is clear. The coincidence is definitely there, is it a God point to make note of or just a mere interesting thought? Well, time will tell!  There is a provision God makes for his people and this is the point!
High Places:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When we speak of High Places before the temple was built, there were High places where Israel was able to build an altar and sacrifice to their God. We find that during the Book of Judges, Israel adopted the pagan custom of offering sacrifices at high places [elevated hilltops]. The pagan nations who did this believed the closer to heaven they were, the better chances their gods would hear them. The trouble was many of the places Israel took to do this were former baal sites where pagan worship occurred. Therefore this practice became forbidden. But at certain times the Lord gave his approval to Israel to worship him at these high places.

1 Samuel 9:12  And they answered them, and said, He is; behold, he is before you: make haste now, for he came to day to the city; for there is a sacrifice of the people to day in the high place:
13  As soon as ye be come into the city, ye shall straightway find him, before he go up to the high place to eat: for the people will not eat until he come, because he doth bless the sacrifice; and afterwards they eat that be bidden. Now therefore get you up; for about this time ye shall find him.
14  And they went up into the city: and when they were come into the city, behold, Samuel came out against them, for to go up to the high place.

Let us make note that  Solomon worshiped the Lord at the great bamah ‘high place’ of Gideon (1 Kings 3:4). This was permissible until the temple was built and finished.
There is no doubt as well that Israel soon forsook the Lord God and used the very pagan high places to worship their gods. All manner of evil was practiced upon these mounds and they soon became a snare to Israel and brought Judgment upon both Israel and Judah. Even Solomon in his later years forsook the Lord and sacrificed upon the high places to other gods.

We find ‘bamah’, “high places” in the cities of Samaria (2 Kings 23:19), in Judah (2 Chronicles 21:11), and in Jerusalem (2 Kings 23:13). Amos is just one place that records the sins and trouble this brought.

Amos 2:6  Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes;
7  That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:
8  And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.

Tophet:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jeremiah 7:31  And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.
32  Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.
33  And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.
34  Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.
One of the most infamous “high places” was known as Tophet. Topeth, strong’s 8612 means “place of fire”. It is located on the southeast end of the valley of the son of hinnom south of Jerusalem.  Here the ‘place of fire’ was located in the valley of hinnom, known as “lamentation”.
It is a valley, a deep and narrow ravine, with steep rocky sides located southwest of Jerusalem, separating Mount Zion to the north from the hill of evil counsel and the sloping rocky plateau of the plain of Rephaim to the south.[Libronix, digital library system, Strong's]
Sacrificing to other gods, Israel left the God of their forefathers. They served gods that even their forefathers never knew. Sounds like America today.  In this they made their sons and daughters pass through fire. We make special note here that Tophet is related in text and warning to the valley of Hinnom but the Judgment of the Lord will bring it to be called, the valley of Slaughter, for they will bury there till there is not one place left to do so. It would become a cemetery.  Jeremiah further specifies that Israel “have forsaken me” and “have estranged this place”. That is through their seeking of other gods and leaving the God of their fathers, they separated both themselves and the land from their God and his blessing. Jeremiah also makes firm note that in this land and among this people was sin so horrible that they “filled this place with the blood of innocents.”  There is much we could say on this topic and in relation to Israel, but suffice it to say, that this God found in Israel a people who had forsaken him, the God of Life. Their forefathers had known him, but now generations of Israelites were doing sins that even the nations around them did not do. They had become separated from their God and would not listen anymore.
Jeremiah 19:3  And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.
4  Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;
5  They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spoke it, neither came it into my mind:
The Stream of Brimstone:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jeremiah pointedly tells them that “evil” which had been pronounced against them would occur. It would happen “because they have hardened their necks that they might not hear my words”. This judgment would come upon all in Judah, Jerusalem, and they would become as defiled as Tophet. The sins of the people were so bad that they even worshipped their foreign gods from their houses. All the land and the people had become defiled with rebellion, sin, iniquity, and blood guiltiness.

Jeremiah 19:12  Thus will I do unto this place, saith the LORD, and to the inhabitants thereof, and even make this city as Tophet:
13  And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.
14  Then came Jeremiah from Tophet, whither the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD’S house; and said to all the people,
15  Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.

Thus the judgment was set and the type was Tophet. For Judah and Jerusalem itself would become as Tophet, a place of wood, hay, and stubble. In it the Lord would send horrific judgment. A judgment that would be “deep and large, a pile thereof is fire and much wood”, this very fuel of wickedness would be kindled and the fire thereof would be like “a stream of brimstone”. In fact the “breath of the LORD” would kindle it. The judgment would seethe and burn all the contents thereof to remove iniquity and the sin upon the land.

Isaiah 30:33  For Tophet is ordained of old; yea, for the king it is prepared; he hath made it deep and large: the pile thereof is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it.

Walking on high places:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My friends the Lord is coming forth out of his place. It is he, the Lord who treads upon the high places of the earth, the Lord, the God of hosts is his name. He will tread down the high places of the nations, bringing their sin and iniquity to nothing. All the high places of idolatry, paganism, harlotry, greed, foreign gods, and all forms of rebellion will be trampled asunder.
Just as Jerusalem and Judah in the time of Jeremiah became as Tophet, and had become filled with wood, hay, and stubble, all in rebellion against the Lord God, so too, we find America and the nations. I speak warning to these nations who will be a sacrifice, a funeral pire, and it will be ignited by the breath of the Lord, like a stream of brimstone upon it, so it will be burned.
The Lord will destroy the high places of America. It will begin with the church and then will engulf the whole of this land. America has been stiff necked, as has the church. Many people refuse to believe and hear these warnings. Yet it shall come.  With it shall burn the “high places” of greed, wealth, usury, produce, food, provision, precious things, and all treasures that are contained in this modern Babylon. Make no mistake it shall come to this nation and you will see it. Yet, the nations are not to be left out, for it shall encompass the nations and shall come to them as the Lord moves to shake all things.
Isaiah 33:14  The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
Isaiah 2:19  And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
2 Thessalonians 1:8  In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9  Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
Those who are not prepared for the Lord, that is who are ‘sinners in Zion’, ‘do not know God’, and ‘do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ’, shall see this and fear. There are many today that do not fully understand this judgment and trouble coming. This is not the Great White Throne judgment nor the Judgment seat of Christ. It is a time of trouble where those who do not obey, who are in rebellion against the Lord, and have set up their own “high places” will find the Lord burning them down. He will work to bring mercy and deliverance to those amidst the judgment. Yet there will be many who will refuse to listen.  But let me tell you that there will be those who do know the Lord and do obey him. They have “overcome by the blood of the Lamb”, give their “word of testimony”, and “love their lives not unto death”, these keep the “commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ”. These are those who Jesus said “keep my sayings” and have “built their house upon the rock.”
In closing let me say that although the sinners are fearful, Isaiah asks a question saying this: “Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire [everlasting burnings]? He is referring to the judgment of Lord upon those in Zion, who thought they were fine. These in rebellion believed they were pleasing their God, even though, they did as they pleased. Who shall dwell when the “devouring fire of judgment” hits a nation? Who will be left standing after God judges the people that are stiff necked and will not hear? Those who will be left, will be those who do these things, which in Isaiah’s day was important and related to what God expected of his people.
Isaiah 33:14  The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
15  He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
16  He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
Listen closely to Isaiah:
1. He that walketh righteously
2. He that speaketh uprightly
3. He that despiseth gain of oppressions
4. He that shaketh his hands from holding bribes [does not accept rewards for wickedness]
5. He that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, [those who do enjoy hearing of it, despising evil]
6. He that shutteth his eyes from seeing evil [those who do not enjoy seeing it, despising evil]
Psalms 119:37  ¶Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.
Now lets listen to warnings from the Apostles given to the church!
1. Lay the correct foundation, Jesus Christ!
1 Corinthians 3:11  ¶For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12  Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
2. Every mans work shall be made manifest, revealed by fire, trying every mans work:
wood – hay- stubble or gold – silver – precious stones!
1 Corinthians 3:13  Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
14  If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15  If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
3. You’re the temple of God, don’t defile it!
1 Corinthians 3:16  ¶Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17  If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
4. We are not to be patterned after the wisdom of this world but after Christ!
1 Corinthians 3:18  ¶Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
19  For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
20  And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
21  ¶Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;
5. You belong to and are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s
1 Corinthians 3:22  Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;
23  And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.
6. Follow to be Holy in all conversation and godliness
2 Peter 3:10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11  ¶Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
7. Put to death your members upon this earth and do them not: i.e.  fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
Colossians 3:4  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
5  ¶Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
8. The Children of disobedience do these things and the wrath of God comes on them, but you have put on the new man and have put off the old man with the deeds of the flesh!
Colossians 3:6  For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
7  In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
9. Put off these as well: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication
Colossians 3:8  ¶But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10  And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
10. Christ is all, and in All!
Let us therefore Walk in the Light of God as his Son and our Lord Jesus Christ did. As he walked, therefore, let us do so as well! Then we have fellowship with each other. We have his blood cleansing us from all sin and our obedience, i.e. walking in the light.
Colossians 3:11  Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
1 John 1:7  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8  ¶If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
These above are given as examples. God expects us to walk in faith, obedience, and trust in him. The judgment comes and I remind you of the “high Places” where God has taken many of his saints during judgment. Yes they still saw the judgment, they experienced it, but in it all they overcame. God provided for those who not only had love for, but a love which produced faith and obedience to his will. To do those things that please him. When we do that, God will lift us up into the “high places” to walk with him and be taken care of.
Other scripture:
Ephesians 2:2  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Ephesians 5:6  Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
2 Corinthians 5:11  Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
1 John 5:4  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5  Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
1 John 5:11  And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
In final notes let me say there is so much to speak on this issue. This newsletter is here to give you Spiritual input and to let you move forward in your own faith and life for the Lord. There is no way I can put all the things that must be said when speaking to this issue. May the Lord help you to walk in him, in faith, in obedience, unto the fullness of Christ and to his coming again.
Shalom, my friends;
The Watchman Is 21:6
Let us overcome, by Christ, in faith, in obedience, the Lord is calling us not to just make it through, but to be “more than conquerors in Christ Jesus who died for us and became an example to us. That is in doing this, we may win others into the Kingdom of our God and our Christ, our Savior, Jesus [Yeshua the Messiach]”
