1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

This time of the year the morning sky is usually clear, the stars are out, and on a full moon the landscape is readily seen. The time is four thirty in the morning; I have been up for about an hour now. Usually that is, however, some mornings the Lord wakes me up early, real early. Those times are spent in quiet with Him pertaining to what the early morning wake up call is about. Sometimes intercession, other times quiet listening as I write what I believe the Holy Spirit gives me.

This like other weekday mornings the wife and I are off for our workout. We begin our workout at five am, opening the doors to the place along with a number of other stalwart people. In the spring and summer the mornings are cool and the air usually clean, that is except for a forest fire or fire on the desert and brush. When that happens you can smell it, as fires from Colorado, Montana, and even Canada can make it here, all depends on the jet stream. In the winter dark thirty as I call it comes early in the evening around five and is really dark at three thirty in the morning. The sun won’t raise till around seven thirty or eight. That is when the early time is hard, in the winter. It can be cold, brutal, and makes for a hard go on a daily basis. But we have been doing it for years now. It is part of our life.

This morning I am continuing a little workout after the wife has gone to shower and ready for work. Since I don’t have so much to do in that regards, I shower and dress in five minutes. As I work a machine for the stomach abs and sides I watch the others around me do their exercise. My wife and I are part of that generation that came to birth after WWII. This was the largest generation called the ‘baby boomers.’ Right after war all those GI’s came home to their wives and girlfriends. Marriage, the war just won and the new housing boom that would entail created a perfect climate for having babies. The generation that fought that war did have babies and lots of them. Now today that generation which saw the Korean war, Vietnam war, the middle east wars with Iraq, along with the turbulent protesting 60’s, the swinging 70’s, the abundant 80’s and 90’s is getting older. Women now either at my age or within some 10 years is all around me as are guys, every one of them fighting the same battle, which is age. The women are trying to get back that svelte figure they had in high school, while the guys are trying to lose that middle bulge, side pockets, and look as those they are 16 again. Still others are working out who have never seen the battle of the bulge, leastwise they look it. These are the ones who have little percentage of body fat, and higher muscle tone. Men and Women, every one of them, though, are heading to the destiny we call old age.

world turmoil

‘We are waiting for the Lord to literally return to this earth’

Proverbs 14:34  ¶Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

Summer is past here in this country. Leaves reveal their golden aura and are dropping to the ground like snow in winter, being gathered by the fall wind and blown about. Everyone is preparing for the coming cold months. For us, a heavy snow this time of year is nothing. Although, many times the worst snows come in the spring, usually before the real outbreak of warm weather.

October in it’s essence for the nation we live in; called America is one of enjoying summer’s harvest and preparing for the coming holiday seasons. Wal-Mart by this time has the collection of Christmas items already out, along with their sacred Halloween teasers. For us, though, October is not about these things at all. It is and has been about the fall feasts of the Lord. They signify the harvest feasts and prophetically point to that which is coming. These feasts signify the completion of our salvation in Yeshua [Jesus Christ] Ha Massiach, His kingdom on the earth, and our coming together in Him on this earth. This years fall feasts are about over, with only one day left of Sukkot, called the Feast of Tabernacles. It is one feast mentioned in Zechariah. It is important and also tells us, in the new kingdom that Yeshua brings; the feasts will play an important role. Tabernacles, for one, will be kept by all the nations at the time.

Zechariah 14:16  ¶And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Zechariah 14:18  And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Zechariah 14:19  This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

we are waiting for the Lord

‘we are waiting and watching according to Mtt 24′

October has seen the rise and fall [unsteadiness] of the market economies of the world. The oil trouble and high gas prices have given way to the pressure of recession and possible depression. The real wave of trouble hit on the first eve of Rosh Hashanah with the Stock market crashing losing 777 points. It then regained momentum on the eve of Sukkot producing the biggest gain in stock market history. Both of these events occurred during the fall feasts and are a signal to those who will listen. The Lord is shaking all things, including the money, stocks, Dow, and the security most people and nations look too. They also signify that the kingdom is coming and it is a voice to the people of God to look, watch, and be ready. For the unbeliever, however, these mean little or nothing at all. For those who ignore the signs of the events during these fall feasts, well, they are pleasingly ignorant.

To get caught up in the secular and worldly spirit that affords many today, is not an option to a believer. They are to be in the world and not of it. They are not to love this world, or the things in it. Just as the Jews spent their time in the wilderness in a Sukka, and just as Abraham went out ‘looking for a city whose builder and maker is God’, so too, believers are to be temporary in this life. We are to fix our gaze upon Calvary and the Christ, the only begotten Son of God, Yeshua [Jesus Christ] and not upon things or money. We are to be ‘blameless and harmless’ the Apostle Paul says. Paul further telling the Philippians that they are to live as such amidst a ‘crooked and perverse’ nation. They were to be lights, shining out amidst the darkness of the world. The scripture tells believers pointedly they are to be a Standard for others to see and follow, at no time were we to be like the world, look like the world, or be like the world. We live in America; other believers live in other nations. All of these nations are ‘crooked and perverse’. There are many today in this nation that walk in their own version of righteousness and living as they see fit.

Philippians 2:15  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

The real truth for Christian believers today is they do represent a holy priesthood and belong to a holy nation. They are and God expects them to be a peculiar people. They are different. They do not walk in darkness, but shine forth as lights. It is this difference that we should establish in our Christian walk in this day and age. They are different, as I said earlier, Christians are peculiar [strange, weird, unusual, abnormal] as far as relating to the world. Many unbelievers see this strangeness as being ‘religious’, being a ‘religious nut.’ The truth is the real believers are adverse to religious ways and religion. This is not about doctrines, followers of men, denomination titles, or diatribes of men. This is a living breathing relationship with the King of Kings himself. His Spirit is in each believer, who has been born again by the Spirit of God, not by the will of man. Each one is not following the Lord because he or she has too. They were not coerced, forced fed, baptized as babies, nor led through a maze of man made religious exercises to be accepted to man’s idea of religiousness. No, these believers can hear the voice of the Lord. For them, his will is paramount. These are literally waiting for the King to arrive. They fully expect to see Him on this earth. They read his word, listen to his Spirit, follow his voice, and walk according to His commandments. Indeed, they are lights that shine out amidst the perverse nature of the people in America today. For Americans have no qualms about eating too much, drinking too much, marrying and divorcing as they see fit, nor do they have trouble with sex and enjoying it to its literal perversion. Perversion for Americans is accepted, so too, it is likewise seen as favorable in many nations today. Even greed, pride, and following any number of Idol Gods are enjoyed around the world. For many people today, man is the ultimate number here. His ability to think, create, and build will bring in a New World Order and the abyss of happiness they all long for. The only rule in this New World will be there is no law. Anything goes, there are no absolute truths, and there is no heaven or hell. The moment you live in is all that matters, so enjoy it to its fullest.

1 Peter 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

It is into this generation that believers in the last days are hurled forth. Fulfilling prophecy, the scripture warns us that the Lord will ‘shake’ the nations. We are told that there will be deceptions, deceivers, wars, rumors of war, and that men’s hearts will fail them for fear of those things coming upon the earth. This is the time when the believer can be light and salt. They can give hope to the hopeless, a cure for the anguish of heart, and let people know the Lord will forgive those who come to him and repent. He will give peace to replace the heart of fear, with the assurance and presence that only the Lord himself can and does give.

It is into this future that the believers will move forward. Not as conquered, but as conquerors. Not killing and bringing blood for blood, but with the Love of Christ. As they are met by hatred, they give love. When met with danger and death, they meet it with faith and patience. These are people who know the Lord, trust in him, doing as he commands, by walking in Love. These are those who have been redeemed to God by the blood of the Lamb. These are those who overcame by that same blood, the very word of their own testimony, and they love not their lives unto death. They are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus who saved them and brought them unto himself. They know the LORD and his voice. They walk in his power, peace, assurance, and by the presence of his Spirit in them. Yes, they are the lights that will give hope, and even though the world tries to stomp their lights out, yet they will shine ever more bright than before. For if the Lord is for us, than who can be against us. Greater is he that is in us, Jesus Christ [Yeshua Ha Massiach], than he [the devil and his minions] who are against us and provokes other men against the saints of Light.

Revelation 5:9  And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

Watchman Nwsltr-080110-A House Divided
“It is true, a house or kingdom divided cannot stand, take heed therefore where you stand in this, lest ye fall”

By the Watchman
Dana G Smith

Luke 11:17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.

A House Divided
“It is true, a house or kingdom divided cannot stand, take heed therefore where you stand in this, lest ye fall”

I take a deep breath, heave a little, sigh some as I write this, knowing the full measure of what is coming. What is coming is judgment, yet, over the years all the warning has fallen on many deaf ears. Our Lord warned us by his Spirit saying to us; “let those that hear, hear what the Spirit sayeth to the churches.” Jesus said it this way “let those that hear, let him hear”. It is hard to believe at times the trouble which is upon the nations and even in America. Many believers in church denominations, fellowships, and groups don’t really believe what is coming will bring with it death, plagues, destruction, and more upon America. Here I speak specifically to America and her ‘ecclesia’ the called out ones. I speak to both denominations and anyone else who is a follower of and pledges allegiance to our Savior and Lord.

Matthew 13:9  Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Luke 11:17  But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.

In America we have a propensity to become divided. This is seen through the myriad of denominations, name classifications of believers: i.e. Christian, believer, Baptist, Pentecostal, catholic, and much more. Matter of fact I suppose the number of denominations are so massive and unless one has a thorough record of them, this number would be unknown to many. But suffice to say, safely speaking that is, there are probably by anyone’s guess, tens of thousands of such denominations in the church realm in America today.

Over the years I have seen Christians pledge themselves to friendship, loyalty, and to love each other. I have witnessed them praying and weeping at the altar on Sunday nights, then a short time later we find them in the midst of gossip, back biting, and even holding grudges against each other. Christians wearing their feelings on their sleeves, many still carnal and having no root, become bitter, full of hate, and even leave the faith all together because of what they find in church. We personally have seen Christians love us and then go behind us to backbite us or talk about us in a personally hurtful way.  This has also been the norm for others we have come in contact with. Only in America can one call himself a Christian while at the same time playing headmaster in the throne room of judging each another. Only an American Christian and I believe this also goes for many other believers in other nations can say “I love you”, while holding a knife to the persons back.

I write this today to let you know, “my brethren” this ought not to be so! It is hard to figure this in America except to say, the ‘glory’ has departed from the midst of the churches for the most part. The lack of conviction by the Holy Spirit in a church is one reason we see this. The lack therefore is due to lack of prayer, fasting, reading and obeying Gods word. Many Christians today are in sad lack of true knowledge of holiness, and find themselves in that category of ‘no root’ in the faith. All the devil has to do is stir up the ‘tares’ in many congregations today and they take care of the rest. Many times we blame Satan for the troubles in the churches. Satan is not the problem, the lack of belief, and not being where we are supposed to be. I.E., in Christ, for he said in John “without me you can do nothing.” Its hard to figure from any standpoint unless you’re a tare that it is okay to say you love someone while trashing them at the same time.

John 15:5  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

I have heard from people as they talk to me, “I consider you my Pastor”. Those are dangerous words as there were those who believed Jesus was the good shepherd and the Messiah. One week they escorted him in victory through the streets of Jerusalem praising God as he went. Shortly after that, they were shouting for his death, saying “his blood be on us and on our children”.

Matthew 27:25  Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

I have seen experienced deacons, pastors, head pastors, senior pastors, evangelists, and normal everyday believers all go through this. Yet as I write this the church in many corners of the world considers herself an ‘overcomer’ and headed for ‘victory’. At the same time, they declare power, healing virtue, and look for signs and wonders to be done in Jesus name. But yet, these same people walk the plank of an idealistic attitude that claims the promises of God for power and authority but rejects the cross that brought it to us. The deny his very name by crossing over into the alleys of judgment and crossing the streets of pride.

I tell you today that the church is divided and it will not stand. But then I hear those voices screaming to me from the very streets who ran joyously around our Lord declaring him to be the “coming Messiah”, and they are crying “crucify him.” The church doesn’t want to hear it. Christians don’t believe it. Some understand what I say, but to everyone I say, “Let him who has ears to hear, let him hear.” The truth is, the Lord will call out from among those groups who say they are followers of our Lord, only those who truly listen and do what he says. The time is short and the “judgment will begin at Gods house.” The Lord of glory will not put up with his sheep crucifying one another. He will put an end to those who are “biting and devouring each another.”

It is our Lord who will see to it, that the royal law will be met, that is “love thy neighbor as thyself.” It will not be a law that says, “I love you, while plotting evil the next day.” It is a law fulfilled by walking in the Spirit and seeing the fruits fulfilled in your life.

Galatians 5:14  For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15  But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16  This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17  For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18  But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19  Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20  Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21  Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

In America we have had the flesh crucify the things of the Spirit. Divisions, backbiting, lusting, decadence, immorality, splits, divisions, and in spite of this, we still claim to be the ‘church’ God has called us to be. Yes, I know we are not perfect, but please, it is as if we are so accustomed to it, as the adage goes, “we cannot see the forest for the tree’s”.

We are divided over doctrines, church names, whether you think sister this or brother that is a real Christian, or whether you can find a way to get back at the person who offended you and still be a good Christian.  It has become so ludicrous today that people come and go from churches, fellowships, and anywhere else so called believers gather. They come and go because they are like gnats caught in a wind. If the wind is down, they buzz around your head for awhile, light quickly, and then they are off. When a wind comes up, they are pushed to the next place. All the while when the wind quits, they again find somewhere to light.  They come and go, never getting true biblical foundations nor walking as true grounded believers. Then when trouble comes, they blame the devil. Now I know the devil is a liar and causes trouble, but the real trouble is not the devil, it is us. We simply do not listen. We don’t listen to the Word of God. We don’t listen to the Spirit of God. We don’t listen to anointed messengers giving the anointed word of God. In short, we will only listen as long as it doesn’t get too uncomfortable. If it gets that way, we leave!

A true Spirit filled church will be have people who know the true convicting power of the Holy Ghost and fire. They will know and are familar with weeping, seeking the LORD, and praying till they get through. They walk in faith, trusting God. If they find themselves in trouble, surrounded by enemies, or if they just need something, these people know how to seek God to find an answer. Their sleeves are for shirts, not their feelings. Their love is for all people, and even if they are hurt, they still love. They leave the judgment to God and seek him for understanding a matter.

I have seen so called Christians judge ministries and minsters harshly. I have been to web sites where the one who puts up this trash spends their time reporting all the false prophets. When you read the names on the list, the only name they are missing is theirs. Everyone else is a false prophet, wrong, or just in trouble by this persons standards. I have seen people trash a ministry that has been faithful for decades. They did so just because they could not accept what they did or said in regards to ministry practice or doctrine. They spent less than an hour or two in the presence of this or that ministry and they have a person judged, convicted, and sent to hell on their say so alone. Oh, yes they can find a scripture to match their belief’s.  They can justify their way about them, but I ask you, do you think this is just a small matter. I say NO! I have seen it for years and years!

Be warned, which is forearmed, The Lord will judge people for this. With the same measure, you mete, it will be meted to you!

Matthew 7:2  For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

The truth is, the Lord will remove this from his church. He will remove those who do it. They will belong to the first church of immorality. But for those who keep his word, walk in his ways, and keep his faith and testimony, he will bring unto himself. For everyone in the church, understand the judgment is beginning with us! I mean real judgment! You think you will escape to some foo foo land where all is peaceful and pretty while you have defiled yourselves in this way.  The truth lies here, in the word, “if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?” Or this word that says “what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.”

1 Peter 4:17  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
18  And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

2 Peter 3:10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11  ¶Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12  Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13  Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14  Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Moreover, let me also say, the Lord God gave us a clue as to what his church was like. Here it is!

John 13:34  A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Love, it is more than a word, it is a command, an experience. It says to the flesh and the pride, be off with you. I know the true wisdom and your wisdom is fleshly and contaminates my soul. You are of your boss the devil. It comes from the bonds of the fruits of the flesh. There are those who know this, that the Love wherewith God calls us too is beyond what the carnal church can even understand. It is beyond a harlot church that finds solice in the flesh. This is about those who have God’s love spread abundantly in their hearts by the Holy Ghost within them. It is about those who love more than others hate. They understand more than they will criticize, and see the Jesus in people more than the devil.  I know this sounds high and lofty, but it is not! It is brought to by the very Lord who bought us with his blood shed on the cross for our sins. He loved us so much he died. The Father loved us so much he sent his only begotten Son to redeem us!

Finally, if you are truly a disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ, hear this word. Many Jews followed Jesus for they saw the signs and wonders he did. They listened to his words of authority as he taught the crowds. But even though they heard him, he said to them all, even to those who believed on him, “if ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed.” To be truly free, to truly know the truth, and to have that truth set you free, well this comes only from one thing! Yes, according to the Lord, “you must continue in his word”

Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free, if you continue in my word!

John 8:31  ¶Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Hear the Word of God and do it!

Luke 8:21  And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

Having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience!

Luke 8:15  But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience

Call Upon Me Psalms

Call upon Me, Saith He

A Psalm by Dana G Smith
The Watchman
“let the watchman declare” Is 21:6

Let the weak look to me.
Let the humble regard the LORD.
Pursue Him, for His grace is given.
Mercy is to him, who comes,
But the wicked, let him fear me,
The proud also, let them be thrown down,
The nations as well, let them be cast down,
For the LORD Cometh.

Yea, those who are wise,
Truly, truly, those who are of understanding,
Again, those who are wise, FEAR the LORD.
Let thy fear honor Him who name is Eternal.
Let thy fear humble thyself before the King,
Yea, the Lord of Hosts.

For the Lord will lift these up,
Yea, He will hide thee during the dark hour,
For the Lord will save those,
Yea, all who call upon His name will be saved.
For His name is Mercy,
His name is Grace,
His name is the LORD God Almighty,
In Him, let thyself be found,
And in His son Jesus [Yshua] Christ [Messiach]
For the day is Here.,
The day of his Indignation.

Prepare Ye for War!

A Psalm by Dana G Smith
The Watchman
“let the watchman declare” Is 21:6

Prepare ye for war,
Call ye, call ye!
Prepare the battlements,
For the day is come.

Let them be assembled,
Those who hono9r me,
For the Lord will honor,
Saith he, the covenant,
With my own, saith the Lord.

For the day is come,
A day of darkness,
A day of trembling,
A day of bloodshed,
Upon all the nations!

I will come saith he,
Whose eye’s pierce as fire,
Who moves about with his chariots,
A flame, a fire, yea upon all,
Smoke rises, behold He comes,
Yea, all ye who sleep, awaken,
Yea, all ye who are his, come,
For the day if nigh,
The day of my Indignation.

The Furnace of the LORD

A Psalm by Dana G Smith
The Watchman
“let the watchman declare” Is 21:6

The Lord will go through the land,
With a sword will he cut deeply,
Yea, the righteous and the wicked will be affected,
Yea, the day the Lord sends the ‘slayer’.

Cut off! Cut off!
Anguish in the hearts,
Feeble in the knees,
Panic in mind, heart, and soul.

For on this day,
All will know the Lord has done this!
This is the day He sent judgment to cut off those in the land.
Weep, howl as others have done.
In ancient times, the Lord had done this,
Yea, upon Israel, Babylon, Sodom, and others.

Will ye know why?
Can you understand?
For the Lord cuts off the idols,
Yea he destroys the wickedness in the land,
For the day is come.

Let the prophets howl in anguish,
Let the righteous prepare themselves,
For the terror has come upon the land.
Will you escape?
Where would you go?
For the Lord knoweth your plans!

Behold he rises,
The sword is loose in the land,
The ‘day of vengeance’ is come.
The iniquity has reached her end.
For the fire of the fury of the Lord
Is poured out upon the land,
Look too, ye nations,
Prepare yourselves all ye rich,
Turn too all ye proud,
For it is poured out.
It will burn all,
It will purge out,
It will bring to an end thy ways,
Yea, thy ways Oh harlot are come to an end.

Let the righteous seek their God
Let the wicked be confused.
Let the nations tremble.
For the Lord God has done this,
Behold he is preparing his Kingdom,
The rule is begun upon the lands of men.

Let all the earth Praise ye the Name of the LORD,
Almighty,
Truth,
Full of Justice,
Full of Mercy,
Redeeming those who are his,
Purifying, refining, and establishing the Rule of the Lord God Eternal.

Revelation 11:15  And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
