Lift up thy voice like a trumpet
“show my people their transgressions, will you understand justice? Will you find my ordinances a delight. You do not know what I have chosen!”

Isaiah 58:1  ¶Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

Lamentations 3:22  It is of the LORDS mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

The grasslands lay out before in all directions as the road swung back and forth among the canyons, hills, and fields. The pavement was good and the road, itself had fairly heavy traffic. The antelope spotted along the fields in groups of 15-100 were a constant resident in these parts. Deer were grazing, but their presence not as the antelope was. The sage, lightly green with a bluish tinge swayed gently in the breeze as the sun beat down on the coming of the green this spring. Rain, snow, sleet in the spring were common and this year as others, it helped the vegetation grow in its usual courses.

Coming down the hill, a farmhouse, few outbuildings, cattle, trees, and resident dogs barking lay quietly to the right. The road ran in a ribbon twisting somewhat as it eventually flattened out after a mile. Further down the road, another small room house. In fact, a school house, an old one. We find in these parts old abandoned school houses, and other former meeting places where the residents who farmed these parts would gather. It was common in those days. It was here in a flat wood, plain white box, called the school house that many got educated in. My grandparents and my mother also experience this kind of education. Living poor on the farm, the family scrapped and survived, working hard and seeing tough times. They were a hardy lot.

It is the history that I pass which makes me think of how far we have come and what we have lost. It is here that we have first lost that which our pioneer forefathers and mothers had. The knowledge of tough times and the faith in the God who delivers to see them through. It is the heart, blood, and faith that comes through in many of the old songs.

Moreover, let me bring you back to a time in 1866. It is July 29th and the heat of the day is pressing in on the people in Simpson County Kentucky. At some point in this day the mother struggling in giving birth, did so and ‘Thomas O. Chisholm was born. It was in the same kind of small box school house that dot our landscapes today Thomas had education. That is, an elementary education. He did not have high school or any further training. But Thomas did have a gift. He liked to write, especially poems. It would be at the hardy age of 21 that Thomas was able to put his gift to work, this was as an associate editor of his home town weekly newspaper, The Franklin Favorite.

Life goes on for all of us and many times it passes quickly. How peculiar that many of us to go through life as such without really knowing in whom the true blessings flow from or if we do, we fail to acknowledge it. That is the gift of writing and especially in poetry. You can take a moment to stop, reflect, and give the glory to whom it is due, along with a point. It would be for Thomas that his life would change. A revivalist by the name of Dr. H.C. Morrison came to his hometown. It was the days of no television and reading the bible or other books, after your daily chores; this was your recreation time. When an event like a revival came along, many went. It was at this event that Thomas Chisholm accepted the Lord as his personal savior, he was 27 years old.  Chisholm at the invitation of Dr. Morrison moved to Louisville to become his office manager and business manager of the ministry’s publication, the “Pentecostal Herald”. Later Chisholm was ordained a Methodist minister, but due to failing health, this lasted only a year.

Life has its turns, twists, and many times; it all leads us to realize what is important! We get so busy we become blinded with it all.  Luke tells us regarding this to ‘take heed to ourselves’. This is because Luke says, “your hearts can be overcharged” with all the cares and related issues of this life. Is this not true? As life takes it turns so did Chisholm’s life and he became a life insurance agent.

Luke 21:34  And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

It was during the course of his life that Thomas did write, in fact, he put together over 1200 poems. Of which approximately 800 were published. Of these some were put into song format. It was in 1923 that Thomas sent several of his poems to Rev. W.M. Runyan, a musician associated with Moody Bible Institute and an editor with the Hope Publishing Company. One of the songs that was published is called “Great is thy Faithfulness”. The words coming from a poem by Thomas and the music by Runyan. Of course, you know this song well, and probably heard George Beverly Shea sing it on a Billy Graham Crusade, not to mention your own church. An excerpt from Thomas mentions his heart on the song “Great is thy Faithfulness.”

In a heart-uplifting letter dated 1941, Thomas O. Chisholm wrote that although his income has not been enough due to his impaired health, he must record the unfailing faithfulness of God for the “wonderful displays of His providing care” and for which he is “filled with astonishing gratefulness.”

The song itself is found in the context of one of the great books of mourning, sorrow, and understanding God’s dealings with people. The book of Lamentations. The verse directly attributed to it is Lamentations 3:22-23.

Lamentations 3:22  It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24  The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25  The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26  It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

To understand the incredible vision of the author mentioned above in chapter 3 of Lamentations, you must know the background of it. Tradition long before the time of Christ held that Jeremiah wrote Lamentations. It was Jeremiah who warned Judah to repent and that Jerusalem, its temple, it priests, and people would be carried captive to Babylon for 70 years of servitude for their sins against God.  Another custom of the Jews was to name a book written by the first word in that book. In this case the word was ‘ekah’ or “How”. The first verse is as follows:
Lamentations 1:1  ¶How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people! how is she become as a widow! she that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary!

Thus this is a sorrowful rendition of what God warned, what the prophets prophesied, and how the people ignored that warning. It breaks the heart, tears the soul, and brings us to realize that God is an awesome avenger on those who fail to repent. It bears us to remember that the “fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” It was a message of the writer to warn all generations of what had happened to Israel. Within the scope of their suffering, all of which was for their sins, moral decline, and rebellion against God, came a lesson, mercy, and hope!

The song ‘Great is thy faithfulness’ used by churches, Christians, and ministries since it was published is a song taken from one of the greatest, most sorrowful time in Judah’s history. The city was ravished, the wall destroyed, the temple demolished, the holy things taken, the priests, rulers, and people taken captive. It is hard to imagine anyone saying of God “Great is thy faithfulness” when all you have known is destroyed!  I wonder how many Christians today could really say the same thing if their cities, houses, towns, and nation called America was ravished like Judah and Jerusalem was?

The verses of this song “Great is thy faithfulness” precede a heart rendering account. It says in verse one of Lamentations chapter 3, “I am the man that hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.” The sheer terror of ignoring Gods warnings are seen here. It should be a warning to America, the church, and all people everywhere of the ‘Day of the LORD’. Paul said it this way “knowing the terror of the Lord, we persuade men-2 Cor 5:11.” Paul being a student of Gamaliel and one well studied, knew Jewish history very well. He could recount it and knew, especially after becoming a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ that one did well who monitored in his life a healthy and biblical ‘fear of the Lord’.

Lamentations 3:1
¶I am the man that hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.

I am troubled when many congregations in the church don’t know true historical events, nor sing the old hymns anymore. It is possible that they either don’t understand them or the light on a particular item has not revealed it yet.  Many times we do not know the background from whence a certain phrase of a song came from, nor of the context of that verse as it is found in the bible.

Many times we find that the ‘faith’ sung about in our churches are not in true co-relation to the song itself nor of its author. I speak directly to the older hymns here. Many of these old hymns came from the heart and were born out of tough times. These depicted saints finding faith, strength, and hope in God amidst the troubled seas in their lives. These songs have come out of favor it seems with others having replaced them. The church today has seen a time of growth in wealthy and prosperous times which makes it hard for people to relate to these older songs of faith. Today, simply put, until recently, we have had more than the ‘heart could wish for’. Literally, our “eyes” bulge out with fatness for all that we have. But these songs were born in the most grave of situations which required faith in the Lord God to deliver them.

Moreover, the authors of these old hymns found living day to day, hour by hour, minute by minute an experience that required the need for God to deliver them. It is in this which the individual author through his experiences found hope amidst tragedy, faith in turmoil, deliverance in bloodshed, redemption in loss, and a God experience that brought forth joy with gladness.  These are songs born in the heart and soul, anointed by the Lord. They give us a message as we walk our own path.

It is in this song “Great is thy Faithfulness” that we find such faith and vision of heart. The very words are taken from lamentations, saying  further “It is of the Lords mercies that we are not consumed”.  God could of absolutely destroyed them all, but he did not. He could of raised up someone else to inherit the blessings of Abraham but he did not. In the midst of horrific judgment Jeremiah saw it all and in this he could still see Gods Faithfulness even though it brought him to his knees. It is this phrase which points out his faith but unless you understand what he experienced, you cannot fully appreciate this song. These words were born amidst the judgment in Judah, the destruction of the Temple, the devastation upon the people and city. Jeremiah understood it all. He had hope, repentance, sorrow, and had experienced it all in this judgment. He knew darkness, saw foreign armies invade his city and hometown.  He saw his temple destroyed, and the people taken captive. The prophet of sorrow as Jeremiah was called warned and warned yet the Priest, Prophets, People, and Leaders ignored his direct warnings of Judgment by the Lord. At this time there were others who believed as did Jeremiah and I am sure they too saw that the nation would not repent. For Jeremiah and others who were walking in the ways of the Lord, the judgment would come. Yet in all this each person could indeed say “The Lord is my portion, I will hope in him.” I ask you now “if the same thing happened to America could we truly be reflecting the same faith as this song illustrates?” Could we say, even if judgment hit America, “Great is thy Faithfulness Oh Lord, It is of the Lords mercies that we are not consumed?”

This is the end of the matter, “Great is thy Faithfulness”, ‘even among strangers’!  Yes, even among strangers, Israel and Judah both had become a stranger to the Lord God. They did not know him, nor believe his judgment would come. But in this judgment, the Lord God sent mercy amidst his judgment. Even among strangers, the Lord God did not annihilate nor completely destroy his people who had become strangers.  For these had brought judgment upon themselves for their ‘moral collapse’. So too, if we do not change and repent for our immorality, this could be our epitaph as well. Again I ask you will we be able to sing “Great is thy Faithfulness, Lord unto me?”

The Author recalled to mind how he felt and what happened. In this short discourse before the well known verse “Great is thy faithfulness”, he recalls it. Read it and then ask yourself, what if this happened to me?

Lamentations 3:2
He hath led me, and brought me into darkness, but not into light.

Lamentations 3:3
Surely against me is he turned; he turneth his hand against me all the day.

Lamentations 3:4
My flesh and my skin hath he made old; he hath broken my bones.

Lamentations 3:5
He hath builded against me, and compassed me with gall and travail.

Lamentations 3:6
He hath set me in dark places, as they that be dead of old.

Lamentations 3:7
He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy.
Lamentations 3:8
Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer.

Lamentations 3:9
He hath inclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked.

Lamentations 3:10
He was unto me as a bear lying in wait, and as a lion in secret places.

Lamentations 3:11
He hath turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces: he hath made me desolate.

Lamentations 3:12
He hath bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.

Lamentations 3:13
He hath caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.

Lamentations 3:14
I was a derision to all my people; and their song all the day.

Lamentations 3:15
He hath filled me with bitterness, he hath made me drunken with wormwood.

Lamentations 3:16
He hath also broken my teeth with gravel stones, he hath covered me with ashes.

Lamentations 3:17
And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity.

Lamentations 3:18
And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD:

Lamentations 3:19
Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.

Lamentations 3:20
My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.

Lamentations 3:21
¶This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.

delusion

It is here we find this ‘flattering vanity of delusion’. We are so convinced by our own lies and deluded senses that we cannot see what is coming. What is real? What is truth? Yes, they have the worlds wisdom and knowledge, but to know real truth, well that cannot be done by the flesh.

From week to week I sit down, daily, to pursue what the Lord God has called me to do. Day’s pass by, weeks move on, and months on the calendar don’t stop running their course. Now it is almost 2010. On the theatre, the 2012 Epic is raking in millions. This doesn’t surprise me. Americans are so bored with their lives and humdrum work a day schedule, along with the bills, they need or so it seems such things. Americans love to be frightened, excited, saddened, and go through story lines in a movie as if it were real. All of it, though, from the sound stage, setting, lines of script, and the makeup on the actors is for one reason. To make a movie that sells. To sell you the public on the entertainment of it and make millions in the process. In a word, it is delusion. Sometimes based on fact, or part fact, written and produced by man, that brings forth a story line and message. As a result the actors, or many of them become more than an actor, they become idols and stars. They rake in millions portraying characters that the public becomes enthralled with.

This is the American way of life. It is all theatre, an act, many times with a goal of bringing a message. For instance, we have many disaster movies out, many of whom, are part of a ‘global warming’ message. Then we have the ‘aliens’ message that also never stops. In it all, the messages fly through all the media to the public and the public unaware many times, simply absorbs this stuff as if it were gospel. Which it is, the gospel of the wisdom of this world. This gospel is authored by the chief of liars, the devil himself.

I wonder how many Americans would love disaster so much if they lived in a nation that actually had epic disasters and killed millions? I wonder how many would watch such atrocious movies if they had friends murdered, butchered, raped, and killed randomly? I wonder how all these end time destroy it all movies would fare if America were in a depression, famine, pestilence, and half of this country fell into the sea? How many Americans would like such entertainment if the lives of their family were at risked and their own? If they did not know where their meals were coming from, would they still be so bored with life as to spend wasteful hours on tripe and nonsense?

Now I like a good movie like others, but the trouble is, 99% of movies out there, I cannot watch. No, we don’t do to movies! No, we don’t go and spend needless money on it! We have watched movies, and been entertained, but this article is not about the movies. It is about the bored American! It is about our lifestyle! It is about the waste of time that is simply called ‘vanity’. It is about the ‘flattering vanity of delusion’. It is something that makes us feel good even while speaking lies or in this case delusion to us. It is useless, it is the world’s wisdom! Yet, daily, we have a myriad of details played out in movies, newspapers, internet, television, and the likes of the stage.

I am also amazed at how many people are tired of the message of the bible. I am amazed at how many people simply do not believe it anymore! I am amazed at how wicked people are, how selfish they have become, and how lost the children are. I am amazed at the government and those running it, why can’t they see that the borrowing will destroy the nation? Well, the answer is, they are blinded and judgment is on the nation. The trouble even with that statement, people want proof. Ok, so I quote scripture, is that proof? No they say, they want real proof! Well, what is real proof? If America suddenly disappeared before your eyes would that be proof? Yes, they say! Adding, seeing is believing!

I then say, is seeing really believing? If it is, when the dark one comes as the true God and does signs and wonders, you will follow him and believe. The reason is, scripture says that because the world, and that is you if you don’t believe, ‘refuses the love of the truth, God will send a strong delusion so they will believe a lie’-2 Thess 2. Oh, I might believe he is but if he wants me to take the mark, I won’t do that, you know, its wrong, leads to hell. Really I say! You won’t take the mark! I say to you if you do not believe in the true Messiah Yeshua, Jesus Christ right now and follow him in truth as his disciple, you will be led astray and will indeed take the mark.

Well the conversation ends with them shaking their heads and looking at me as if I’m nuts. Over the years we here at the WIBR/WARN have been warning people, including Christians for years. Many, of whom, were and are our friends. Church friends and brothers, having known them for decades, yet they today won’t have much to do with us and me thinks they think were nutz!

Psalms 12:2  They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
3  The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
4  Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
5  For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
6  The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7  Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
8  The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

It is here we find this ‘flattering vanity of delusion’. We are so convinced by our own lies and deluded senses that we cannot see what is coming. What is real? What is truth? Yes, they have the worlds wisdom and knowledge, but to know real truth, well that cannot be done by the flesh. Still there are others, in the church, led by men who themselves are deluded and they all go on in their delusion.

I meet these kind all the time. I see them everywhere. Naysayer, doubters, carnal, lovers of America, lovers of its fruit, lovers of its promises, lovers of everything except God. Of course, many nations and people also fall into this snare. People who need to be free, need to be full, need to have great food, fabulous doctors, live in big houses, drive a new car, have big bank accounts, and live as the government does, beyond their means. These people will torture themselves dieting, working out in gyms, and pushing for a workaholic perfection. All at the same time cannot find 15 minutes to an hour to read the bible, pray, or even fast a meal. These are people who have 10% body fat and are laden with sins. Rich, in need of nothing and love the most popular ear soothing evangelists and preachers, yet will not listen when told to repent or the danger of ‘lukewarmness’. This is what I call the “Flattering vanity of Delusion.”

Then there are those who are hurting. These are the down on their luck. Maybe all their lives, they have failed, yet in their being is a hunger. A deep void. Yes, it is there, in the empty reaches of your spirit that God wants to fill with his Spirit. These hear the call, so gently, “Come unto me, all ye that are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest for your soul.” There is no delusion here, if you follow this path, seek the Lord, he will give you rest for your souls. It is his wisdom, in the fear of the Lord, turning from our own stubborn ways to seek his Ways. It is simple, yet many wise cannot find it. It is this path, that leads to our Savior. It is that Messiah, whom we call Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha Massiah, whom can deliver you from the wrath to come. But be sure, you need to follow him, keep his commandments, and walk in faith.

Matthew 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest

.

The Lord today is calling those who will hear to himself. The others, however, will find out that the Lord will chose their delusions and bring their own fears upon themselves. It is these, who during the trouble that is coming, might think to wait until then to call upon the Lord for help. That’s right, let’s wait for the real trouble, we can always get serious with the Lord later. After all he is a God of love, if he loves us, he will then forgive us. So we have time, let’s party on dude! This is America and the church in America today. This is what I call the “Flattering vanity of Delusion”. Totally into themselves and their own agenda’s. Of course all this ignores and totally refuses to hear the Spirit calling to them! To this wisdom, I say it is foolishness. Beware of such ‘worldly wisdom’ for to do such is not considering who the Lord really is! Proverbs 1:28 gives insight into such vain wisdom.

I Will Choose their delusions and bring their fears upon them!

Isaiah 66:4  I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not

Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer, they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me!

Proverbs 1:28  Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
29  For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
30  They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
31  Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
32  For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
33  But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

America and the nations are themselves piloted by big money and the proud wicked. These are people, moved by the Dark one, in whom they will follow when he arises. He will lead them straight into perdition, fulfilling the word given in 2 Thess 2. It is here that you and I find ourselves today, on the verge of two kingdoms, one a dark one, brought to fruition to fulfill the Word of God in respect to all that is written of the kingdom of the beast to come. The other one, headed up by the true King, Jesus Christ, the Alpha and the Omega, the Word of God, the only begotten Son of the Father. He will bind the dark one and his companions, destroy his kingdom and set up a ‘kingdom of righteousness on earth.’ For now, we who are his, are to live by faith, keep hope, and follow our Lord in obedience.

The Kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ!

Revelation 11:15  And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

For the Kingdom of the Lord is coming. This is no delusion or a lie, it is truth and will arrive, but we must, through all that is coming, walk in faith, with patience. For the race before us is to be run and we must finish our course that the Lord our God has called us to be in! If he has called us to this, he will take care of us, ensuring us of victory and the battle won over the enemy of our souls. We live in a wicked world, this is no fairy tale, but in this present world, you and I can know this True God and Eternal life, through his Son Jesus Christ. As the world lies in this darkness, we are in the light. As this world hates us, we are in the light. As this world rejects the Lord, his message, and his messengers, we are in the Lord. We know him, we are in him, and it is this faith, even our faith in him, that overcomes the world.

Here is the patience and the faith of the saints!

Revelation 13:7  And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8  And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9  If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10  He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints

.

Through much Tribulation do we enter into the kingdom of God!

Acts 14:22  Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Our Faith, this is the victory that overcomes the world!

1 John 5:4  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5  Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

We have an understanding, in this wicked world, we are of God, we may know him, we are in him, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the True God, and eternal life!

1 John 5:19  And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
20  And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
21  Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

My friends, I like this last line, after all John said, he reminds t hem “little children, keep yourselves from idols”. So must we, as God’s children, “let us keep ourselves from all idols and any snare [sin] that so easily besets us”

Shalom, blessings, much to you,

“on the outside, America seems like a pagan nation, but it is not such. It has like a dog who has returned to its own vomit, casting off the Son of God and is proceeding down the road to destruction. But in spite of all the shaking in America and the world, this will be one of the greatest moves on God’s calendar. We will be in it, if we do not give up, but continue in faith. Have patience!”.

——————————————————————————————–

“What the Spirit saith unto the churches”

Revelation 2:7  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
In Revelation, the Apostle John writes the ‘apocalypse’, what we call Revelation. The phrase
“Spirit saith unto the churches” is used seven times in the span of the first warnings to the seven churches. We are told to ‘hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches’. Even though it is written, we are to hear. This hearing is from the Holy Spirit, directly to our inner man, the Spirit speaks to our hearts, telling us what we need to hear from him. The churches written to by John were not bricks and stones, but to people that gathered together in the name of the Lord in cities throughout Asia Minor. They were not denominations, traditions, or man made ideas. This was a living breathing organism, called the church, the ‘called out ones’, who followed the Lord in true discipleship, even unto death.

Demagogue: a strategy for gaining political power by appealing to the prejudices, emotions, fears, and expectations of the public. The demagogue usually uses rhetoric and propaganda with a nationalist or populist theme to it. These can even border on Religious themes.

Dialogue: from ancient Greek, dialogos, meaning conversation or discourse. From the word logos, meaning word.

Darkness increases,
Its power reaches to all the Earth!
The rise of Evil continues,
The veil holding it back is reduced.
More and more, the Specter approaches.
Yet, many do not see Him!
This is time for Gods people,
Yes, it is time,
Put away your foolish things,
Seek the LORD,
Drawing nigh to him.
There is no Hope outside of our Father,
Blessed be He and His Son Jesus Christ,
Our LORD, Savior, and Reigning King!
Blessed be Y’Shua Ha Massiach.

Was there ever a kingdom so powerful as Rome? Was ever again a time when society itself was ruled in such power in the earth? There have been many such kingdoms, but surely the early church, its Apostles, and the believers all felt the presence of evil. They knew what darkness was. They knew what control was, by a government. They understood hatred, bloodshed, violence, and opposition. They knew foreign Gods and the idol worship that ensnared many a people. But they had also experienced the true power of the LIVING God. It was a birth of tremendous magnitude when the Son of God came to this earth to reveal the ‘love of the Father’ and the ‘truth of salvation’.

It was that pivotal point in the history of mankind that changed everything. Before that point, the keys of death and hell were not in the hands of the Son of God. Before the cross, man had to fear this thing called death. The enemy of our soul seemed to have free will to cross over and deal blows to humanity. But in the plans of the LORD God, permanent redemptive history would be made through the death of Y’SHUA Ha Massiach, Jesus Christ on the cross. By dying for our sins and meeting all the legal aspects of the law in the process, this Lamb of God, forever changed the fact. This fact can be spelled out in three words, S-I-N! Yes, he conquered the SIN problem of the human race. But, man being given free will still was able to choose not to avail themselves of this deliverance. Evil grew, and at times the pure essence of evil was not allowed to peak its ugly head up out of the ground from whence it hid.

We get a glimpse of pure evil and rebellion in ‘Lucifer’s statement’ of the five “I Wills” found in Isaiah!

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms

In this section the Prophet Isaiah mentions ‘Lucifer, son of the morning’ and brings us a picture of this ‘lightbearer’ who rebels against the LORD God!

He said in his heart:
1. I will ascend into heaven
2. I will exalt my throne above the stars of God
3. I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation
4. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds
5. I will be like the most High

This small section gives us look into the pride of ‘Lucifer’. Pride so great he is blinded from the truth. Pride so great he dares to threaten the MOST HIGH by saying his own throne will be as God himself. Yet in all this, we find the LORD God who in his own infinite wisdom does not destroy this nay saying boaster who will be able to destroy kingdoms and make the earth to tremble. Scripture doesn’t let us know why God did not just destroy, from the start of his rebellion, this one called ‘Lucifer’. Even in Revelation after the Beast and False prophet are taken, they are put in the lake of fire, but the Dragon, aka ‘Lucifer’, is just put in chains for a 1000 years. Even here we see he is not destroyed right away. It is not until after the 1000 years and the last attempt of the Dragon to destroy the ‘city of God’, that he is finally and completely eradicated by being put into the lake of fire!

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Right now as we speak the darkness arouses all its forces. Every Principality and power, every ruler of the darkness of this world, and all the spiritual wickedness is on full alert and attack. They sense their day is arriving. Finally after so long of a time, finally after losing ground in heaven against God, they see their own chance of winning the battle. They will strive to destroy all God has created. They will move to delude humanity and bring Gods chosen creation in rebellion against their own creator. They will bring with them a platform of ‘lawlessness’ and ‘pride’. All of it established upon the words of the five ‘I wills’ found in Isaiah.

Two major words sum up all the Five “I wills” found in the Prophet Isaiah’s writings which refer to ‘Lucifer’. Two small words that will let anyone see what is really going on. Want to know who is of darkness? Want to know who the Anti Christ or Son of Perdition is? Want to know how to recognize him? Well if you understand these two words then your well on your way right there. What are these two words? The first one is “Lawlessness” and the second one is “Pride”. There are three other words that fit this phrase in Isaiah, but these two will stand out as beacons to let anyone know who is looking for them, just who it is that has these qualities!

The Man of Lawlessness:

We see this man as one of pure lawlessness. But this will be a lawlessness against the laws of God. Whatever God has commanded, this one will be against it and his schemes will bring man to their own level of complete rebellion against God by following it. We further find this ‘lawlessness’ in its prima facie evidence when the devil comes to Jesus in the wilderness.

Satan arrives and challenges Jesus as the Son of God and expects to see a miracle! The Lord speaks a truth that all believers today must grasp, ‘man does not live on bread alone, but the true bread from heaven says, “man will live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God”. In all these ‘dialogues’ between Jesus Christ and the demigod Satan, the rulership of God is challenged on every level. Challenged by miracle, challenged by misquoting scripture, and challenged by directly offering Jesus all the world has to offer in order to get Jesus to worship Satan. Here we see Satan tempting Jesus with the ‘lust of the flesh’, eat to fill the hunger that had touched him during and after the 40 day fast. We see the pride of life, with Satan telling him to throw himself down if he is indeed who he says he is, saying that if he is God’s son then the angels will lift him up and keep him from falling. Finally Satan tempts Jesus with the ‘lust of the eyes’ offering him all that he could see in the world, their kingdoms, power, and riches, if only he would worship Satan.

Matthew 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Satan Challenges the Son of God directly and his claims! He does so with scripture, quoting it as well! Here Satan challenges the fact of the Godhood of Christ Jesus. The LORD answered Satan back, ‘thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God’. Here the Lord Jesus directly associated himself with the “the Lord thy God.”

Matthew 4:6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Satan Challenges and brings to the table the gifts of this world if people would just fall down and worship him. This breaks the first commandment! There is only one God, him alone will you worship and him alone will you serve. Here Jesus Christ, Y’SHUA Ha Massiach again directly associates himself with the Lord thy God and serving him.

Matthew 4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Make no mistake, the Son of perdition, the beasts of Revelation, the Anti Christ will come. They will delude the world. But the one prime quality that will stand out for you to recognize him and his partners is ‘lawlessness’. The beast will be directly opposed to the true, complete, and holy reign of our God, the Father and his only begotten son, Jesus Christ; Y’SHUA Ha Massiach. By this will you know who he is. This is also the main identifier of all Anti Christ Spirits as well. They will deny any right of law and commandment the LORD God has given. They will carry out a plan of complete ‘lawlessness’ of the LORD God and his commandments.

The fact is, the Evil one coming as a deceiver will appear as an ‘angel of light’, and set himself up in Gods temple, declaring himself to be God. But the one fact he will not be able to hide from the beginning of this delusion is the fact that he will be totally and completely ‘lawless’ to the Commands of the LORD God. He will break them, and teach humanity it is okay in the process! He will start with the main commandment, “love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, all thy mind, and all thy soul”, thus breaking “you will have no other Gods before me”.

But be cautioned and forewarned here: He will sound good, it will feel good, and he will offer you all the world to get you to follow him! In this case, in Revelation, in order to buy or sell, you will need his mark etc.

The man of Pride:

When Satan challenged Jesus, he made no exit strategy. That is, he directly, intentionally, and deliberately came to see, tempt, and break down this invader to his realm. He was the strong man that Jesus spoke about in the gospels. He was the one ‘who fell as lightening’ to the earth. Yet, this evil one was not going to stop from coming at this one who called himself the “Son of God.”

His own pride and attitude, one born out of his fall and own sin, led him to believe he could destroy this invader’s attack on his own sovereignty. His own pride still brings him to believe he will still fulfill the five “I wills” in Isaiah. He is not fearful of quoting scripture nor of anyone who does it also. What does bring him anguish is the fact of Christians who quote scripture with faith, believing. The seed of God, the Word of God with faith, planted will bring a harvest and not one word of God will fail in its duty to bring in a harvest.

Although this coming evil one will have delusion, demons, and human’s in dark places on his side, he will still have to wage war. He has done so since the beginning of time. Yet, let me put a word of the Apostle Paul here:

2 Thessalonians 3:1 ¶Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

I specifically point out that the Apostle wanted prayer. Part of this prayer was to be delivered from the wickedness of men, from those who have not faith. But also the Apostle tells us that the Lord is faithful. It is the Lord who as we are walking and surrounded by evil and evil men will establish us and keep us from evil. Yes, it may assail us, but if we are in the LORD it will never defeat us!

I point out at this time as well the scripture in Revelation which tells us pointedly that we ‘overcame’ the evil one! How do we do this?

Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12 ¶Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

I want to point out, specifically here that in this context we see who we overcame. It is the ‘accuser of the brethren’, the ‘devil’, who is come down unto you. These overcame by the:

1. Blood of the lamb: having received him, he gave us the power to become the Sons of God, read John 1.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

2. Word of their testimony: He who confesses or tells of the LORD Jesus Christ, Y’SHUA Ha Massiach before men!

Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

3. Those who love not their lives unto the death:

Mark 8:35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.

Luke 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

John 12:25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Here again let it be noted, this ‘man of pride’ is a ‘beast of pride’, who appears as ‘Lucifer’ the lightbearer, known as the beast, dragon, Satan, the Devil! It is Satan who empowers this dark one and his false prophet. Once again, the two main ways to tell these deceivers are the “lawlessness” and “pride” that goes with them. Both these words will be accompanied with one other word here, that is “power”. This power will come directly from Satan, who is allowed by the LORD God at this time to bring in delusion [see 2 Thess 2].

He will have the “power” to deceive!

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

He will have the “power” to conquer!

Revelation 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

He will have the “power” to rule and reign!

Revelation 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

He will have the “power” to be worshipped and appear as God himself!

2 Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

His presence will also have the “power” to bring in accompanying signs and wonders!

Revelation 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

My friends, these trio’s of evil: the Dragon who gave them power, the Beast who deceived them on the earth, and the False prophet who did miracles and caused the world to worship him, cannot overcome you! But they will bring in “lawlessness”, with “pride”, and have ultimate “power” over all other things to steal, kill, and to destroy!

In its simple essence the five “I wills” in Isaiah that are attributed to ‘Lucifer’, have the five main words that make up who he is. This is:

1. Arrogance
2. Pride
3. Power
4. Lawlessness
5. Lust

But here, today, I let you know that as a people we see all these in our society today! That is why, the veil is being retracted to let in this beast and the delusion that comes with him. But in all five words above, three will absolutely not be able to stay hidden, these in summary are: lawlessness, pride, and power. Pride was the cause of the downfall of this evil one, lawlessness was the result, and power was the one thing he wanted!

Just ask yourself on the people in current power, how do they operate? What do they seem to bring to the table? Is it Power? Do they bring in policies that are in direct contrast to the Word of GOD? If so they have an anti Christ spirit about them and are on the table for the main position of the Son of Perdition.

One final note to absolutely know who is the beast in Revelation!

Revelation 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

Revelation 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

When a world leader who is in power in the time of evil to come becomes mortally wounded, that is, unto death. Then that leader comes back from the dead miraculously, and then the world worships him, my friends, this is the beast. From this point on, there is 42 months of power for this deceiver and his prophet to rule and work out his scheme of delusion.

1. The reign of terror: 42 months, 3 1/2 years
2. Blasphemes God, his name, his tabernacle, all them in heaven
3. He makes war with the saints, and overcomes them [literally 'wears them out']
4. All nations, kindreds, tongues, and nations are under his power
5. All whose names are not in the Lamb’s book of life will worship him and take his mark!

Revelation 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

DESTROYERS WILL COME OUT

When I read in The Jerusalem Post (July 22) the dangerous and ridiculous words of Debra DeLee, the President and CEO of Americans for Peace Now; knowing that she has a willing ally in White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel who is also a strong supporter of Peace Now’s self-destructive folly: I realize that the ancient verse: “Your destroyers will come out of your own midst” is dangerously true of the reality today.

This is what DeLee dares write in her Obama-supporting article:

Obviously, the Palestinians should take steps to show that they are serious about peace negotiations and Arab governments should do their part to support peace efforts, and the president is pushing on these fronts. But what the Arabs do or not do doesn’t change what Israel should do.

We at Americans for Peace Now, and our friends at Israel’s Peace Now movement, believe that for the sake of its security, stability and long-term wellbeing, Israel should immediately reverse the settlement enterprise. And now, particularly now, instead of seeking “shticks and tricks” to evade a settlement freeze-in the words of New York Congressman Gary Ackerman, a staunch friend of Israel-Netanyahu should do whatever it takes to take advantage of the opportunity that Obama proposes.
DeLee, who writes about her “experience with the Democratic Party (She was chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee) and with Chicago politics” must have had, and still has, a close working relationship with Obama and of course Emanuel.

So here we have the true picture: self-hating Jews pushing the Goyim to force Israel according to their self-destructive, anti-Israel agenda to make concessions that with out doubt would lead to Israel’s destruction.

Listen to the foolish and self-destructive advice to her fellow Jews, “her Israeli friends:”

“What the Arabs do or do not do doesn’t change what Israel should do.”

In short this is ‘honest’ advice for Israel to be willing to commit suicide, all in the interests of the so-called peace dream of the Israeli left. For when there will be no more Israel there of course will be peace – peace not of “the brave,” as Arafat cruelly named the process once, but the peace of Israel’s grave. And this brought about – as in history before – by self-destructive Jews themselves.

How happy the Gentile Obamas and Solanas must be for such ‘helpful’ Jews!

So here, maliciously, in the name of ‘a peace’ that will lead to Israel’s destruction – wrapped in the beautiful sounding “we say it to you as friends in all honesty” – Israel is being told not just by her bitter enemies but also by her self-hating Jews to freeze all settlements. And these include those quarters in unified Jerusalem, which is for these turncoats still occupied territory. Israel must be ready to withdraw without waiting for any reciprocity from their sworn enemies. And those enemies will certainly use these abandoned areas to establish their third, Jihad-inspired terrorist state (after Hamas in Gaza and the Hizbullah in Lebanon) from which to finish off what will be left of Israel.

It was as the late Arafat, in a rare moment of honesty, confided to a reporter for the Dutch paper Trouw: “Peace for us means the destruction of Israel and to that peace process even some Jews are willing to lend their hand.”

Therefore in the light of all this I felt to write this personal letter to Elie Wiesel:

Dear and honorable Mr. Wiesel!

As a Christian believer, with the stress on believer – as I believe with all my heart all that God has written and prophetically foretold about your chosen and beloved people – so as a believer, I am greatly concerned and also angered at times at the way the present U.S. administration under Barack Hussein Obama is taking America’s relationship with Israel, your people.

You once stood courageously in front of your former President George W. Bush and upbraided him for visiting the graves of young Nazi soldiers at Bittburg, with the words: This is not the place for you to be at, Mr. President.”

A few months ago you stood equally together with your new President at “the grave” of your precious father at Buchenwald. I found your comments and speech there in front of a man that hardly lifts his finger against the threat of Iran’s Ahmadinejad’s newly proposed holocaust for your – also by me- beloved people weak in comparison to the courageous words you spoke to George W. Bush, certainly a much better friend to the people of Israel than the present U.S. administration, which uses, as indeed many of your previous enemies have done, the ultra leftist Israeli Rahm Emanuel as their fig leaf or should we say ‘their court Jew’ to bring the whole relationship of the U.S. versus Israel on a dangerous and life-threatening collision course! This also with their unnecessary virulent objection against Jews building their homes in their own historic land, a land they are indeed willing to share with others.

When President Obama allowed some of the leaders of the U.S. Jewish organizations to appear before him – to assuage their fears and apprehensions, he maliciously forbade any of the stronger defenders of Israel to be part of that group. Of course all the more leftist leaders were welcome!

I may have missed it – but I failed to hear your so gifted strong voice speak against this denial and sell-out of your people Israel’s best interest.

I just read your introduction to the excellent book by David Wyman: ‘The abandonment of the Jews” – a frightful exposé of the compliance of most of the U.S. Jewish and Christian leadership in relation to the weak and utterly reprehensible response by President Roosevelt to the deadly threat faced then by those European Jews at least those not yet massacred by Hitler’s regime. It is an appalling record and in their just held meeting with your President it looks very much to me now a repeat of U.S. Jewish history. I can cry – how lonely Israel is even in the midst of her own Jewish people and come with this heartcry to you in the hope that one who like you and your father and fellow inmates have been in your own life victims of this abandonment will not allow this weak and self-centered spirit present in too many of your people today – to allow Israel to be abandoned again to the will and evil machinations of their present enemies.

Psalms 99:6  ¶Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.

Psalms 99:8  Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.
9  Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.

Psalms 147:11  The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

LORD: Yhwh, Yahweh, proper name of the one true God, His personal name by which He related specifically to His chosen or covenant people.

God, H430, Elohim, plural in form, singular in meaning, great power, the True God.

Forgavest: strongs, H5375, this word in the Hebrew is Nasa, pronounced (Naw-Saw). It is translated in this verse as forgavest or forgives. It simply means “to bear, carry, lift up, forgive, to be forgiven, honored. It is from H4984, mitnasse, to be ‘lifted up, exalted’.

God H410, El, God, the mighty One, as a title of majesty and power. Used with compound proper names. This is from ‘lohim’, God (plural in form but singular in meaning with a focus on great power). El is also from ‘loah’, God.

Inventions: wantoness, deed, doing, practices, evil deeds; This word is from ‘alal /aw lal/’, a primitive root, translating ‘glean’ ‘done’, to act severely, make a fool of someone, thrust forth in wickedness, to act or play the child.

God is not have to do it, did He? He could have left Israel in Egypt with Pharaoh under bondage but he did not. He could have raised up a people from among other peoples and tribes, but He did not! The fact is historical today, the Hebrew’s were delivered from bondage to the Egyptian’s long ago. It is funny today as we look back on all this and the discussion about the Hebrew’s in Egypt sometimes remain around how could they of build the Pyramid’s, drag the large stones into place, and do all that building. From Egypt we also get the ancient ‘conspiracy’ tale of the Masons. We get so much from Egypt, myth, legend, and man’s idea’s. But lost in all the secularism, hype, and talk is the fact of a Sovereign God, called Yhwh, or Yahweh, who had a covenant with a person name Abraham. It was a personal commitment, one of law, righteousness, and Gods faithfulness to his Word.

Today as we look back on this, we need to see the examples of how God dealt with his people. From this, we can learn. We can be warned, comforted, have hope, and develop faith. For if this God dealt thus with Israel, he will do so with all those who hope in his mercy. The fact is also today from a purely Gentile standpoint is that the God of the universe sent his only begotten Son to be born of a Jewish woman. He was man, he was also God, incarnate, ‘God in the flesh’. Salvation came through the Son of God, Y’SHUA and none other. We call his name in English Jesus Christ, but the truth and the name of the Son of God remains true to the heritage and line he came from. He was not born in Brooklyn to Italian parents. He was not born in Australia to English heritage. He was not born rich or famous. He was simply a carpenters son, from a small village.

But the truth is, this one, whom we know as the Son of God, Y’Shua, Jesus the Christ [Ha Massiach] is coming back soon! He will complete the salvation which began long ago even before the Hebrew exodus from Egypt. He will unite both Gentile and Jewish, male and female into one, through the Son of God and faith in his name and work. It was always God’s plan to bring man to himself after the fall. He chose the Hebrews, who came from Abraham. Abraham stood before God the LORD ‘justified by faith’, because he believed God!  Today those who call upon the LORD God, even our Father, as Jesus told us to pray, we can hope in him, find favor with the LORD and walk before him obediently.

The Hebrews knew this God, specifically in the verses above in Psalm 99, we find that they called upon his name, even Moses, Aaron, and the Prophet Samuel, he answered them. It is here we see that the covenant name of God is LORD or YHWH and relates to a special people and a special bond, formed upon a covenant. A covenant or agreement, a testament if you will, in which both parties have to do their part. In these verses we find the name LORD or YHWH in these verses used twice, the first word God here is Elohim, meaning True God, and the second word God here is El, or God.

In these verses we have a witness of the Psalmist as to what went on. The covenant name here used twice, forms a witness according to law, for out of the mouth of two let every word be established. So here he uses YHWH twice to emphasize according to Law, the true God, fulfilled his word. The last word God here, El, is used with lohim, to form Elohim. Using the Word El here relates to all who will see it that there are many who call upon their God or El, but the Hebrews who called upon God or El, was the Elohim, or the True God, who was their LORD YHWH. He was the only True and living God who delivered them, made a covenant with them, delivered them from Pharaoh, and went before them. It was a special covenant relationship, yet in that relationship, the Hebrews were known for their inventions before this God.

The word inventions here in the Hebrew means deed, practices, literally evil deeds. The word is from a primitive root  ‘alal /aw lal/’. This word means to make a fool of someone, to thrust forth in wickedness, to act or play the child, to act severely.  For these deeds or evil practices the Psalmist says the LORD our God, the God who took vengeance on their inventions. It is important here to understand this. It was a special bond, but one that was covenanted together by both parties. The Hebrews broke rank with that agreement or testament and followed other Gods and did wickedly. For this, they were sent into tremendous judgment, and experienced the ‘smelter of the LORD’ for their deeds.  The Northern tribes, known as Israel or Ephraim were scattered to the nations in the earth and Judah (along with Benjamin) was sent into bondage in Babylon for 70 years then returned to their homeland. But they never did have another nation called Israel, that is, until 1948. Today, Israel has many that returns to its shores as Hebrews, from among the tribes, this too, is a word fulfilled by the LORD, the covenant God.

As Gentiles and even Hebrews who also have come to know the real Messiah Y’SHUA as Lord and Savior, the new covenant or testament, is the ‘blood of the covenant’, or the ‘testament in my blood’ says the Lord.. We have come to know the true God, Yahweh, Yehovah, I AM that I AM, as ‘our Father’, but only through the work of Christ Jesus (Yeshua HaMassiach) on the cross.  We have known the forgiveness and joy of the Lord and his love for us, yet like the Hebrews, our own Inventions or ‘wicked practices’ and ‘deeds’ will get us into trouble.

Matthew 26:28  For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Hebrews 9:20  Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

Make no mistake about it, as the Psalmist says “the LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy. His mercy today, is through the Messiah, Yeshua or Jesus. But this God also does not make an excuse or allow sin and iniquity.  Vengeance is Mine, saith the LORD, I will repay, we have heard this phrase. The psalmist in the verses above says ‘thou tookest vengeance of their inventions’.

Psalms 147:11  The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

In the church today the true fear of God is lost. We have no real conviction or sight to see the wrath of God upon the nation of America or even the church who has lost its way. We have depended on mercy, forgiveness, and salvation since the time of Jesus Christ long ago. In America, however, while such things are good and do make us understand Gods mercy for us, we fail to understand his Holiness, his Vengeance, and his ‘terror’! Paul said it the first part of 2 Corinthians, “Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men”.

2 Corinthians 5:11a  Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;

Today we must stop playing the sopish or foolish child. We must stop our nonsense and get in with the LORD. It is time for those who truly hope in the LORD and his mercy through Jesus Christ to understand that God is going to take out vengeance upon wickedness. His judgment will first start in the church, then his wrath will fall on the godless and those who do not obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  If God sent harsh vengeance upon the Hebrews for their ‘inventions’ do you really think and believe he will ignore the same things in today’s church? Will he ignore the same childish wickedness in those who call themselves Christians, even though, the Hebrews did play the harlot and thereby experienced Gods wrath upon them?

2 Thessalonians 1:8  In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
1 Peter 4:17  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

What is coming is upon us now! While it is not devastating yet, the full measure of this vengeance is not been released yet! In America the levels of this vengeance will increase according to Gods will! But today, let us put off childish things and seek the LORD in earnest!

Luke 21:34  And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35  For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36  Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

We must learn from God and his dealings with the Hebrews. Today we still see God’s mercy in action. He is about fulfilling of his prophecy and his Word. He is not done with Israel, nor is he done forgiving and providing mercy. Let your heart repent before him today, seek him with your whole heart, for this God wants you in his presence and before him in LOVE. We can come to him boldly today through our Savior, do so now!
