Luke 4:5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. 8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

When one considers hell, it is true, many do not consider it at all. The fact is, as Americans anyway, hell is that somewhat vague representative of a bygone era. One where death, destruction, and ever lasting torment reside. It gives forth the belching of fire, volcano’s, heat, sulfur, and darkness. As for Americans, sinners and hell have been replaced by fun and a do it your way mentality that has even invaded the church. The question then must be asked is America too civil to become a devil’s house? If it does become such or maybe as many believe it has already become one, what then? Will events in the nation become to change the very structure of this American society? I tell you and many who have seen the current political landscape have already seen the change. For years we have seen all forms of invasion to this nation, from outright debauchery to the illegals who have come to these shores to obtain what they can from this country. Conduct worthy of the Gospel

"Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death."

Philippians 1:27 ¶Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

There is one thing our brethren in the faith left us, that is legacy. Both to do and to die, for the cause of in the service of Christ Jesus our Lord from whom all things flow. It is here that in this day and age we must put away all things which do not fit this cause. In America the faith of Christ has become a spectacle show that consists of gaudy and carnal displays. These displays bring forth in heroic measure our evangelists, messengers, prophets, teachers, and pastors. Within this group is myriad folks who all claim Christ in varying dubious ways from mysterious angels to gold dust, to riches if you give me money. The Beginning of Wisdom “The wisdom that saves, through faith and love.” It is pure, from the Father, a wellspring of love and life through faith in Jesus Christ our LORD! But this wisdom gives us much more! Its end is neverending, its fruit is bountiful, and its endurance is endless! It is unique, lovely, pure, hopeful, and in God himself. It is above the world and cannot be touched by it, but it can touch the world without hope! For in itself, it is hope, it is love, being found in the “love of the truth”, “the only begotten Son of The Father, Jesus Christ the Lord of Glory, and in those who are the children of the MOST HIGH through him who has saved us. Many Called Few Chosen

"FOR MANY ARE CALLED, BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN" (Matthew 22:14)

Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.
Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-4)

Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:24-32)

These verses, and what they say, are not easy to swallow - as Jesus' followers already remarked back then. They go against what is often and generally preached today, even by so-called Christian preachers and revivalists.

Everyone wants to bring a positive, faith-building message and leave out the more negative passages with their serious warnings. This, at least, is what most preachers would rather do. How different, then, are these words from our Lord and the Apostle Paul, to the generally-accepted mode of preaching of today's preachers. Continue reading → No related posts.
