Jeremiah 23:20 Â The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.
21 Â I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
22 Â But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.
Today we have many prophets that are all declaring dreams and visions. These men of God, so to speak, are declaring what the bible calls the ‘Oracle of the LORD.’ That is the specific Word from God Almighty. The scripture above tells us that ‘I have not sent these prophets’, further it says “I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.’ This segment of scripture is from Jeremiah 23, which speaks to the shepherds, pastors, and prophets of the time in which Jeremiah were prophesying. These had trouble with the harsh message of judgment upon Israel, the religious leaders, and even Jerusalem. Jeremiah spoke judgment to the nation for its many abominations. In this context the prophet compares the situation and people to Sodom and Gomorrah.
