When one considers hell, it is true, many do not consider it at all. The fact is, as Americans anyway, hell is that somewhat vague representative of a bygone era. One where death, destruction, and ever lasting torment reside. It gives forth the belching of fire, volcano’s, heat, sulfur, and darkness. As for Americans, sinners and hell have been replaced by fun and a do it your way mentality that has even invaded the church. The question then must be asked is America too civil to become a devil’s house? If it does become such or maybe as many believe it has already become one, what then? Will events in the nation become to change the very structure of this American society? I tell you and many who have seen the current political landscape have already seen the change. For years we have seen all forms of invasion to this nation, from outright debauchery to the illegals who have come to these shores to obtain what they can from this country. They were not ‘Americans’ as yet, but were foreigners, sojourners, or pilgrims. They left their familiar shores and came to a strange land on a ‘pilgrimage’, that is, a journey to a foreign land, by a traveler or sojourner, a pilgrim if you will. We look on these first people to stand on the shores before the nation we call America was officially founded as the ‘Pilgrims’, even calling them the ‘first Americans’. But they were not official Americans as yet. But to these shores there were others here already, and although they were not strangers to this land, they also were not Americans, yet. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Hebrews 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 1 Peter 1:13 ¶Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

There is no doubt today that the believer that does conform to the world will be an unbeliever, a lukewarm Laodacian Christian, or even an unbeliever in time. The world seeks to bring the believer far from the roots that should hold him or her. It's [by this I mean the world, the devil, demons, spirits, and the flesh of man itself] attacks basically come in three areas of life: 'lust of the flesh', 'lust of the eyes', and 'pride of life'. The enemy of our soul attacks our biblical roots which are grounded in the Word of God, Prayer, and a life of leading and nurturing by the Spirit of God. In this life as believers in Y'Shua [Jesus], belief and faith are paramount. "For without faith, it is impossible to please God, for those who come to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" ~ Hebrews 11:6. In this verse we find co-equals here, namely 'faith' and its brother 'belief'. Without these we are lost. How can we belief if we have no faith and how can we have faith without any belief? But as Christians, let me say this, we are more believers than Christian. Why? Because I know many Christians who are not believers, yet for the believers I know, they believe, and they are also Christian. Maybe a play on words, but the truth remains that today in America, the Christian faith is close to idol worship and carnality. It is rooted and rotted in the nation of America where the 'sugar plum gospel' and the 'fairy tale Jesus' sit around in a haze of unbelief and convince themselves everything will be okay. This is the time of the Laodacian church, no doubt, but we also have the 'Dead' Sardis church here as well. This is why, for those who will 'believe', and have 'faith', they must learn to lean on, rely upon, and trust in the Lord more than ever. Not giving themselves over to mindless thinking, or to men's tall tales, or to doctrines of men which are wrong, but they must learn to 'renew' their minds in Christ. If I could Tell One Thing!

If I could tell one thing, just one, what would it be? If I could speak to anyone in the world who would it be? If my life depended on telling that one thing, would I care if everyone else were against me? My friends, let me say, If I could tell one thing, just one to anyone in the world and if my life depended on it, would I care if everyone were against me and that message? This is, of course, a hard question! For there is no way to really project oneself into such a position, except, as I am, so believe I that this is the case, in some respects.

My life does depend on that very matter. For the LORD God who has saved me, guided me, corrected me, and still loved me in spite of my faults and sins, has laid such a burden upon this soul. It goes beyond the flesh, reaching into the Spirit and soul, divided such by the Word of God and the Spirit who has anointed me to speak and bring that one thing. Continue reading → No related posts.
