Israel

If there were ever a proud nation, that would be America, or so the thought comes. But the truth is, Israel, who knew the True and living God, saw its own pride and downfall as well. In fact since the time of the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem in Jeremiah’s day, they have faced the fact that their kingdom, temple, and ways were gone. In a moment, destroyed through the judgment the LORD God had sent. It was nevermore to be built again. Nevermore, that is until God brought his people back from all the world were he dispersed them.

As for America, its people, and the church in this nation, well pride goes with the territory of being one of most blessed nations on earth. That is, until the same God who destroyed Israel, Jerusalem, and its temple, sends judgment in its fullness upon this nation. In this we must understand that we are now and have been seeing God slowly withdrawing his blessing and sending his judgments upon this country. But we must also know that we are surely not the most wicked of the nations on earth. No, likewise, Israel and Judah was not as well. The one item both nations have in common is the fact they were both founded by and blessed through the LORD God. It was the LORD who established Israel and it was the LORD who saw that this nation would be created and also who blessed it raising it to the top of all nations.

But the one thing we must not do is follow pride with proud hearts and proud words. There is no doubt today, there are more and more who see things going wrong. Many still don’t understand and will stay that way, in darkness, until the very end. Others will be proud and suffer the judgment for it. While still others will understand, repent, and seek the LORD. This is what I call a remnant. The remnant believers who will turn to the LORD in all their efforts to find him and his hand upon them.

As we ponder these thoughts, let us stroll through Chapter forty four of Jeremiah and find some important points that pertain to us. Points that we can learn from. Points that will save us trouble and heartache in the end.

Thus the Word Came:

After judgment upon Judah, with Babylon destroying the temple, Jerusalem, people, and carrying some captive along with the holy things, there was a remnant in the land of Judah. People who the LORD God had allowed to be there. He could have thoroughly erased Israel and all its people. Then this God could have raised up stones for a people. But in his mercy, he did not! It was during this time that Jews who scattered out of Judah and its surrounding lands for the high hills when the Babylonian armies marched in, began to come back. The King of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar had appointed a king in the land, giving him orders and then left.

Through intrigue, this king was killed and the remaining princes with their men sought Jeremiah in an effort to find out if God would bless their leaving Judah. You can read all this in chapters 42 through 44 of Jeremiah. To make a long story short, the LORD told them to remain in Judah or they would face famine, sword, and death in Egypt. This group ignored the Words of God and took all the people and Jeremiah to Egypt. We take up the story there as Jeremiah is speaking to this stubborn group of Jews who would not listen.

The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah. As with all the words the LORD gave to Jeremiah concerning his people, they would not listen. There is no doubt even today in our nation, God continue’s to give a word to his people, but they along with the example of these Jews, persistently do not listen.

Thus another Word for these Jews came, A very important Word!

Jeremiah 44:1
¶The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which dwell in the land of Egypt, which dwell at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying,

Judgment on Judah

You would think by now the Jews in both Israel and Judah would understand that when Jeremiah spoke a Word of the LORD, it came true. None believed Jerusalem, its temple, and many people would be destroyed. None believed God would dare judge his own chosen people, those called by his name. None believed this LORD would have all his holy things carried captive to Babylon by Goyim, unclean gentiles. But this God did.

Yet for all this Jeremiah brings a word to remind these people that the LORD [covenant and personal name of God] of Hosts [the highest authority over all agencies there is] and the God of Israel [their own personal God who was called by their name, Israel] had brought evil upon them, destroying Judah and making it desolate!

This people had their own name ‘Israel’ attached to the God who loved them so. By their own pursuits and lusts they sought after other Gods who were not Gods. In doing so they defiled the name of God. They thus provoked God to anger for their persistent wickedness and harlotry by going after other Gods who were not Gods. They did these things which even their forefathers, nor they had ever heard of. Yet they did eventually hear and do wickedly with other Gods. The stage being set for the judgment they had received.

Jeremiah 44:2
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwelleth therein,

Jeremiah 44:3
Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers.

I Rose Early and Sent Prophets

Jeremiah reminds them that before this destruction of their beloved Jerusalem, temple, lifestyle, and people, God had arose early. He did so [for we know God doesn't ever sleep so how can he rise early] by sending in his voice on earth to Israel, through his servants, the prophets. He sent them with his word to tell them not to do this abomination and to repent.

As with many people, they did not listen, choosing instead to ignore the warnings and still went ahead pursuing their own thing, so to speak. The continued in their wicked ways and harlotry. As a result, God sent his destruction, but not before many, many years of prophets who warned his people of judgment to come if they did not repent.

Moreover, God still judges nations and peoples. God still expects his people to not do wickedly! If God judged both Judah and Israel [the northern kingdom] for their wickedness he will judge us and other nations. If God destroyed his own temple, sent his holy things for use in the service of the temple captive to Babylon along with his people, he will also destroy the harlot church, send his people into a smelter, and let all people know he is God, the LORD; who is governor of the nations and ruler of his people who call him LORD! He will also destroy all other idols, Gods, and powers who oppose him and his righteous ways!

Jeremiah 44:4
Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.

Jeremiah 44:5
But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.

Jeremiah 44:6
Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.

Proud in Spite of the Judgment I Sent

But unbelievable as it sounds, in spite of the judgment, the remnant who were left in the Land still were not humbled, nor did they fear God. They were certainly afraid of the judgments God sent, that is why they wanted to go to Egypt where none of these things occurred. This thought in their minds was comforting for some reason because in their delusion they thought this God could not or would not come after them in Egypt. But they forgot one thing, they were a covenant people. Ones who had a history of knowing this God. Their forefathers had known this God, seen his hand at work. Now they were in Egypt defying what Jeremiah had told them, which was straight from God, “Do not go down into Egypt”.

Jeremiah 44:10
They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.

The Proud Heart “We will not Listen”

Not only were this a proud rebellious lot, but now they stood defiant before Jeremiah. This is a problem for all flesh. If you love death, then go ahead and hate this God. For surely death will come if you in pride and foolishness hate the LORD God. This group of remnant Jews stood with all their wives, and a great multitude before Jeremiah and stubbornly told him, in our lingo, “go get lost Jeremiah.”

Jeremiah 44:15
¶Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,

Stand in the Old Paths & Walk Therein!

Jeremiah had told them earlier to ‘stand in the good way, and walk in it.’ This would be where they would find rest and peace in their souls. But walking in the LORD God’s commands and not going after other Gods was not in their logic. They ignored the watchmen God had sent, ignored his stern warnings to walk in the ways or commandments of the LORD. These watchmen ‘sounded the trumpet’ as a warning blast to Gods people. They were saying “awaken you who sleep, awaken you who do not walk in the true ways of the LORD, repent and seek him so that this judgment does not find you”! Yet in all this, God’s own people ignored it! They were fine, rich, and in need of nothing!

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.

Condemned by Their Own Words

Be careful what you say before God. I can tell you without reservation or equivocation, that God will hold you to what you speak. Even if you speak foolishly! This group of remnant Jews, who saw the words Jeremiah spoke come to pass, still did not fear the LORD. They spoke directly to the Prophet and Watchman of God saying “we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth.” That is astonishing to me that after all this they were so hardened and foolish that they would challenge God and his prophet, a proven one as well. There was no guess work in this, Jeremiah had proven he was a Prophet to all of Judah. In addition they said, we will “burn incense unto the queen of heaven, pour out drink offerings to her, just as we all have been doing all along.”

A careful study of this will also reveal they saw that when they did this, i.e. serve other Gods that no evil came upon them. Of course this is a lie. For God had been sending judgments all along. It was the grace of God that forebear upon them. He had been warning them through his prophets. This people took this forbearance and grace of God as the work of their foolishness and idol God they were serving. They thought any blessing, peace, and comfort came from this God, the queen of Heaven.

Jeremiah 44:17
But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

The queen of heaven they were serving was the Babylonian goddess, Ishtar. Which is where our own ‘statue of liberty’ replica came from. They made her cakes, and gave her drink offerings. All of which brought the abomination to the level of unbelievable, since they had flour and grain offerings to the real God, along with drink or wine offerings. This worship involved the whole family. The problem here is this people did wickedly and only left off from following their harlotry after it was too late and God had begun to send judgment. When this judgment came, they did not want to see it as judgment for their harlotry, but saw it as failing to serve this Goddess Ishtar. Much of the world today is still involved in worshipping demons in this fashion. Yes, these people do so see demonic influence, supernatural occurrences, and more to convince them that what they do is true and certain. But in fact it is a lie and a delusion.

Jeremiah 44:18
But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.

Jeremiah 44:19
And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?

The LORD God Acknowledges and Sends Judgment for their own Words!

The LORD God then accepts and says that the words they have spoken out of their own mouths will in fact be fulfilled by their own hands. For when they do the things they have said they would do, then judgment would be upon their own heads, through their own hands.

Here scripture doesn’t say why all the crowd went together against the LORD. But they did. Maybe many followed the crowd and what the majority felt. In other words peer pressure. It is hard to say, but no doubt if they or some of them had just said to the LORD, “we repent” and followed the words with heartfelt action like going back to Judah, then God would have heard and forgiven them. But they did not!

In fact the LORD God said to Judah, i.e. all that dwell in the land of Egypt, saying “I will watch over them for evil and not for good.” Further God says that “all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword, by famine, until there be an end to them.”

Jeremiah 44:24
Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the LORD, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt:

Jeremiah 44:25
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.

Jeremiah 44:26
Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.

Jeremiah 44:27
Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.

The LORD Establishes a Sign of Whose Word will Stand!

It is here that the LORD says some will escape the sword that comes upon Egypt. This sword comes by Babylon again. Those who escape will be a witness, again of the fact that the Word of the LORD comes true. That the stubbornness and pride of the people met the Words of the LORD through his Prophet. Thus this remnant will know that the Words of the LORD stood and not the words of foolish and prideful men who refuse to repent and lead their families after the ways of the True and Living God, the God of Israel.

Jeremiah 44:28
Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or theirs.

Jeremiah 44:29
And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:

The Counsel of the LORD Stands Forever!

Even today we have the same kind of men, women, and nations of peoples. All who foolishly make claims, speak unwise, and pursue things that will bring death upon them. Today the whole world will someday meet with the ‘son of perdition’ mentioned in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. This will be a wicked one who will lead multitudes in delusion against the LORD. He will speak against the God of heaven and seem to get away with it, that is until the LORD returns and puts an end to it.

Today we find that in America there are as well many who continue to foolishly and with pride speak out. They are going to do this or that! They will do as they feel! No one is going to tell them what to do! They will believe in this God or that one. They will believe in a force and not any True God. Then there are those, who as fools, say in their heart, ‘there is no God.’

We have many churches, denominations, and Christians who think all this warning is allot of bunk. It is trash, it is old fashioned! It will never happen say they! God is love, he won’t do this to the church and America. Well, all I can say is this, wait and see whose words come to pass, the Word of the LORD or your own! Be careful, The “Counsel of the LORD” stands forever!

Psalms 33:10 The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.
11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

I close with this my friends, here are some scripture portions. The Word of God say’s the ‘Eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him’. Do you hope in this God, even our Father through Jesus Christ [Y'SHUA Ha Massiach]? Do hope in his mercy? Do you seek him, cry to him, and face troubles today? If so, the ‘Eye of the LORD’ is upon you! His ‘angels encamp around you who fear him and this God will deliver you.’ It is here that you who trust in HIM, truly so, in faith, in action, and with a whole heart need to believe and receive this fact, there are many afflictions of the righteous, but this God will deliver you. All those who trust in Him will not be left desolate, for he will always be there. Yes there will be trouble, a smelter, persecution, and trials, but this God will never leave you nor forsake you. In fact, you may meet death for your faith, for the servant is not above his master. We are called to follow at all costs. The question is, what are you going to do? These scriptures are mighty ‘weapons to use in prayer’ and in your daily life. There are many such scriptures, but these are just a few.

At the end of this is a prayer psalm. It is what I call a Prayer warriors Psalm. If you are facing troubles, you can make this Psalm a prayer, tailor it to your needs and pray it out loud! God is faithful, he cannot lie, will not forsake you, and no one who hopes in him will be desolate. He will bring you unto himself.

The Eye of the LORD is upon them that Fear Him, those that Hope in His Mercy!

Psalms 33:18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

The LORD Who hears, delivers, and Saves!

Psalms 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Psalms 34:17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

The LORD Redeems His Servants who Trust in Him!

18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
22 The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

The Warring Prayer for the Saint who is facing troubles!

Bride is part of Israel

‘The bride is part of Israel and Israel is part of the bride!
Jan Willem van der Hoeven, Director
INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN ZIONIST CENTER
The bride is part of Israel and Israel is part of the bride!

This is so clearly seen in the majestic vision by the angel in Revelation when he says: “Come I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.”

One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”  And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.  It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like jasper, clear as crystal.  It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates.  On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel.  There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west.  The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. (Revelation 21:9-14; emphasis added)

This is actually entirely consistent with many other scriptural references which hold that in the end there will be only ONE FLOCK, ONE ISRAEL OF GOD, ONE BODY, ONE JERUSALEM, ONE BRIDE – Jew and Gentile forged into one Tree or Commonwealth of Israel.

Under the strong influence of the separation – which particularly Constantine, the Roman emperor, was responsible for – which cut the Gentile church off from its original Jewish tree and roots, Christianity became a separate, distinct religion. And even after the Reformation and various evangelical and charismatic awakenings, Gentile believers on the whole were taught that they belonged to a separate body called the church, or Bride of Christ. that would one day be separately treated with a heavenly rapture before the Lord in His mercy returns to Israel.

This, however, is NOT what the Bible teaches, and certainly in this wonderful passage in The Revelation we unmistakably find that Israel – all the tribes of Israel -are seen as part of the bride or the heavenly Jerusalem.

This is not being taught in most churches today – where the unbiblical emphasis brought into the world by Constantine is furthered, teaching that the Gentile-based church is the heavenly Jerusalem or bride of Christ, and that Israel is the other people of God; loved by Him and even to become His people once again, but all this only AFTER the bride has gone to be with her Messiah and Lord.

This – again – is not what the Word of God teaches; yet this unbiblical understanding has opened the way for the Evil One to seduce us into believing in the theory of the rapture of “the church” as a distinct and separate entity from Israel.

Israel herself, according to the many Bible teachers who uphold this erroneous doctrine, will then STILL have to go through the valley of the great Jacob’s Trouble or Tribulation.

Nothing is further from the truth, as we shall find out also later on from many a scripture.

But first and foremost we have to establish the biblical fact of the unity of God’s people.

It is indeed ONE tree and commonwealth of Israel, as Paul so clearly teaches in his epistle to the Romans. The Gentiles – soon coming to our intended fullness in numbers – have been given the immense privilege, because of our repentance and faith in Jesus, of being grafted into the tree or commonwealth of Israel.

We have not formed a new tree called the church into which we were grafted, but because of our faith we were given the privilege of being grafted into the tree of Israel with all the believing Jews, and with the promise that the other Jews, taken out because of their unbelief – will one day be grafted back – not onto a new tree called the church, but onto THEIR OWN TREE, into which we have already been grafted.

This therefore leaves us only with one tree, one flock, one stick united, one heavenly Jerusalem, ONE body (see Ephesians 2:11-24) and one commonwealth of Israel. Just as the prophet Ezekiel is told that the two sticks will become one, or as Jesus said, ‘ that the other sheep He had – the Gentile believers – would become ONE FLOCK together with the chosen people of Israel:

“And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.” (John 10:16).

When, as promised, the wind of the Holy Spirit will be poured out upon the people of Israel – as prophesied by Ezekiel, Joel and Zechariah – it is only then, when all Israel will have been regenerated, that the Gentile believers worldwide, chosen and redeemed from every tribe and nation, will be able to become totally one people with the born again Israel of God. And they will.

This promised outpouring of God’s Spirit – of which Pentecost, when the wind of the Spirit filled 120 Jewish believers was a foreshadowing – will happen BEFORE the physical return of the Lord! It will therefore give Gentile believers the time to relate to this miraculous spiritual restoration of Israel years before the actual physical coming of the Lord.

Just think of it! Zechariah 12 tells us that God will pour out a spirit of grace and supplication on His Jewish people with the result that they will see Him whom they have pierced  – it will be as a result of this tremendous outpouring NOT as a result of Jesus’ physical return. This spiritual wakening is about to happen and I believe will occur during a coming Feast of Tabernacles.

But think of it: When it happens, what an effect this will have on the worldwide community of Gentile believers, when they will hear and witness that all Israel has been saved and that there will be no one Israeli who will have to tell his fellow Israel: know the Lord. For as Jeremiah prophesied: they shall all know Him:

“No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”(Jeremiah 31:34; emphasis added).

Indeed, all of Israel will be saved and we gentile believers will then be able to be fully one people with them as, according to the word of God, we, when we came to Christ, were grafted in among the believing Jewish branches of the tree and commonwealth of Israel. One people. One flock. ONE heavenly Jerusalem waiting for the glorious coming and re-entry of our Lord and Messiah into this world.

This is a very important point – not preached by many – who have been taught that only at the physical second coming of the Lord will Israel be saved. This, however, is NOT what the prophets Ezekiel, Zechariah and Joel prophesy:

“For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.  Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.  I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.  I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.  Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.  I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you.  And I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations.  Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good; and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight, for your iniquities and your abominations.  Not for your sake do I do this,” says the Lord GOD, “let it be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel!”(Ezekiel 36:24-32; emphasis added)

Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”‘”  So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army. … “I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken it and performed it,” says the LORD.’” (Ezekiel 37:9,10,14)

“And it shall come to pass afterward

That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;

Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions.
And also on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days.” (Joel 2:28-29; emphasis added)

“And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.  And the land shall mourn, every family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of Shimei by itself, and their wives by themselves; all the families that remain, every family by itself, and their wives by themselves. (Zechariah 12:10-14; emphasis added)

“In that day a fountain shall be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness.” (Zechariah 13:1; emphasis added)

“So you shall know that I am the LORD your God,
Dwelling in Zion My holy mountain.
Then Jerusalem shall be holy,
And no aliens shall ever pass through her again.”

And it will come to pass in that day
That the mountains shall drip with new wine,
The hills shall flow with milk,
And all the brooks of Judah shall be flooded with water;
A fountain shall flow from the house of the LORD
And water the Valley of Acacias.  (Joel 3:17-18; emphasis added)

‘Fear not, O Jacob My servant;
And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
For I will pour water on him who is thirsty,
And floods on the dry ground;
I will pour My Spirit on your descendants,
And My blessing on your offspring;
They will spring up among the grass
Like willows by the watercourses.’
One will say, ‘I am the LORD’s';
Another will call himself by the name of Jacob;
Another will write with his hand, ‘The LORD’s,’
And name himself by the name of Israel. (Isaiah 44:1-5; emphasis added)

Thus we all may look forward – however bad the times in which we live may become all over the world – and indeed, when the thickening darkness will cover the nations of this world, something wonderful will happen in and with Israel. God, as He promised, will pour out His Spirit on the whole nation, causing Israel to enter her most wonderful hour of fullness and fulfillment. As Paul writes about this coming miracle, already in his epistle to the Romans:

Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness! … For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? (Romans 11:12,15)

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!
“For who has known the mind of the LORD?
Or who has become His counselor?”
“Or who has first given to Him
And it shall be repaid to him?”

For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. (Romans 11:33-36)

May this day, when the Gentile believers will become fully ONE with the spiritually restored Israel – ONE FLOCK WITH ONE LORD – speedily come!

In the HOUR Appointed

In the HOUR Appointed

“I Will Come and Will NOT Delay”
A Psalm
by the Watchman
Dana G Smith

LORDS Throne
Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

In the Hour Appointed, saith my LORD
“I will come and will not delay”
Keep the Word of my Patience!
Walk in the Faith of the LORD!
For as a thief, shall it be,
Those who do not look,
They shall not see,
Their LORD who comes in the night,
Yea, as the true and everlasting Light,
As a thief in the last watch!
It is he who will find you out!

Nothing shall be hid that will remain so!
Nothing will be covered which will not be revealed!
Nothing will be wicked that shall remain!
But for those who Love me, saith the Everlasting ONE!
Those who keep my commandments,
Those who keep my testimony,
Yea saith Y’SHUA, the LORD, the Messiach,
The Son of the Everlasting God,
My reward is with me, to give unto all men;
That which they have labored for!
Wickedness unto Wickedness,
Righteousness unto Righteousness,
Holiness unto Holiness,
Yea saith my God, I come quickly!

Do not say there are yet weeks unto harvest,
For truly the harvest is here!
The LORD doth send out the laborers to bring it in!
The Time is short, the Grapes are reaching fullness,
Yet my people doth not know,
They do not understand!
Awaken and be saved all ye ends of the earth,
For the LORD of Glory cometh,
His reward is with Him, the wrath of the fierceness of God is in HIM,
For he is trampling out the grapes,
He is bringing down the enemies of God,
He is bringing in the Kingdom of our God, and our Christ,
Blessed be those who do this,
Who seek his face,
Who do his commandments,
Who truly walk in the faith and testimony of Y’Shua!

He is faithful that has promised,
Yea he it is who will do this,
He will establish the Kingdom of God in Glory and Righteousness.
He will bring in the people with joy, leading them in gladness,
Everlasting joy, upon their heads, shall be found in them,
And they will be in the midst of the Lamb and of God,
The light of God shall enlighten the people,
The Salvation of God shall be completed,
The purposes of God shall be finished,
The end thereof, is the beginning,
For he saith, I AM,
The Alpha and the Omega,
The Beginning and the End,
Death is swallowed up in victory,
My people are with their God,
God is with his People,
Yea and Amen it shall be so,
Let all the people say this,
Blessed be the LORD God who has done this marvellous thing!
Let all the earth be filled with the knowledge of our God,
Let his holiness and glory shine in the midst of the earth,
For the God, the I AM, the Eternal ONE has redeemed to himself,
A peculiar people, a holy Priesthood, Kings, these are the Son’s of God!

1 Corinthians 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

1 Corinthians 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Deliver us from this Present Evil World

That He might Deliver us from this Present Evil World!

Galatians 1:3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

The hope that exists today is found in our Lord Jesus Christ, who being sent by God the Father, brought his love to earth, dying for our sins on the cross at calvary. For many who are believers, this is the main message of the gospel. A message that is lost many times in the present age we live in. Being found in Christ Jesus is important and there are many today that simply are not this way. Being born again by the Spirit of God and not the will of man. It is not by religious rites, doctrines, traditions, and church platitudes that saves us, changing us, so we can live above reproach in this present world. No, it is by the power of God, being achieved by the LORD Jesus Christ himself defeating all powers and principalities and then living in us.

Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

It is this power that runs in the lives, spirits, and bodies of the believers. It is the power of God, which being formed in his, by His Grace, through Faith, that we; being made the righteousness of God in Him, who knew no sin. As we walk our race in these days, we find ourselves amidst the end times and the devastation of the ‘snare which shall come upon the whole world’.

As a snare it comes on all on the earth!

Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Snare: 3803 strongs GK; trap, comes from a word meaning “to set up” or “pitched”.

Luke put the Greek word meaning ‘trap’ or ‘snare’ in chapter twenty one and verse thirty five. It is from another Greek work meaning “to set up” or “pitched”. Remember Abraham dwelt in the land of Canaan, but scripture says of Lot that he “pitched his tent toward Sodom”. There may have been many reasons for this, but Lot still “pitched” his tent toward an evil place.

Genesis 13:12 Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.

It became necessary for Abraham to intercede for Sodom, Gomorrah, and for Lot. By the time of the destruction of the cities mentioned, Lot by now had fully been incorporated into the life of the ‘cities of the plain’. In fact the Apostle Peter speaking on Lot’s deliverance says Lot was ‘Vexed’ with the filthy conversation of the Wicked!

2 Peter 2:7 ¶And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked

“kataponeo , primarily, “to tire down with toil, exhaust with labor” (kata, “down,” ponos, “labor”), hence signifies “to afflict, oppress”; in the passive voice, “to be oppressed, much distressed”; it is translated “oppressed” in Acts 7:24, and “sore distressed” in 2 Pet. 2:7, rv, (kjv, “vexed”).”
The Greek word for ‘vexed’ is kataponeo and you can see by the description above that it means to tire down with toil or exhaust with labor. But in 2 Peter 2:7 it means to be “sore distressed”. Remember the story how Lot was willing to give his two daughters to the wicked men of Sodom if they would leave the strangers alone? Both his daughters being virgins were not even wanted! These men of Sodom wanted nothing to do with the women, they wanted men. This would be ‘distressing’ enough, but to understand Lot here, we need to see that this man was fully and completely sorely distressed. The situation and wickedness of the men in Sodom made Lot, a family man fully stressed out over it. He was deeply troubled, unhappy, upset, and worried! So much so, when the wickedness of the men in Lot aroused over two new men in the city, he did not give a second thought to giving his own daughters, just to quiet them down. No doubt if Lot had been a vocal opponent to the things going on in Sodom he probably would have been killed. Scripture doesn’t say why the men left Lot and his family alone. It could be Lot’s relationship to Abraham and the protection brought by his Uncle under the LORD God’s banner. Whatever it was, Lot and his family was brought out of that wicked place with only the casualty of Lots wife, because she looked backed, ignoring the angel’s warning not too!. We also don’t know if she wanted one last look, wondered what destruction looked like, or what! We do know that she turned into a pillar of salt for her disobedience. In this judgment I see a hint in this. We as believers in the Lord are to be both ‘Salt and Light’. If we are not Salt, or lose our savor, then it is thrown out! We are not to hide our Light under a basket, but to let it shine before all men. By turning Lots wife into a pillar of Salt, is the Lord giving us a hint as to the ‘spiritual state’ of this believer? Could it be that Lot’s Wife was not ready for judgment? Could it be she was not watching and waiting for the LORD to return? After all she knew of Abraham’s relationship with the LORD God, hearing, I ‘m sure from Lot who knew the story well! Could it be both Lot and his wife were not fully spiritually ready as they should of been? Lot was delivered because of Abraham and his intercession. Lot was delivered, being just amidst the wickedness, but his wife disobeyed at the last minute and turned around. Maybe a little too much of the world, maybe not, we do not know for sure.

Moreover living in a modern Sodom today or a modern Babylon, we face the same situation as Lot. Our daily lives are stressed, oppressed, afflicted by the bombardment of the wickedness of this nation. We live watching our freedoms go down in flames, our constitution torn to shreds, and righteous living thrown out the window. All the while the churches do nothing, speak nothing, and merely go about their religious duties without a word. That is, for the most part. I know there are some who speak out, but for the most part, the last thirty years has been one of prosperity and growth for the church. We have become more like the world, looking like it, getting rich like it, and becoming filthy like it. All the while, Pastors, Evangelists, Prophets, Teachers, and others make excuses for the carnal fruits that hang on the believers in American churches. In short, my friends, we are trapped, in a snare, and cannot escape. We are worried, stressed, ill, sick, and cannot see for the things coming at us! For many today, this snare and current situation has made them blind. A blindness caused by this snare and its effects on the human condition and just like Lot who was so stressed out he saw nothing wrong with offering his two virgin daughters to a group of wicked men, so too, we cannot see either and this affects our daily lives and how we live! The Laodacian church also was blinded. In this church the Lord said to them “know ye not ye are wretched, poor, blind, and naked?” The church meanwhile thought they were ‘rich and in need of nothing’. So too, we need to do what the LORD told many in the churches in Revelation to do! That is Repent and seek him! The LORD advised the Laodacians to ‘buy of me Gold tried in the fire.’ This is metaphor speak for ‘going through the fire of tribulation and testing’! In this we need to further understand the ‘snare we find ourselves in

Looking further, we find the word ‘snare’ in these passages below. They also mean the same thing as the word ‘snare’ above! In Romans it speaks of Israel being given a ‘spirit of slumber’, and quoting David who said their table be a snare or trap to them. In First Timothy 3:7 it refers to the office of a Bishop in the church warning of the ‘snare of the devil.’ In First Timothy 6:9 we find a passage and context that fits America in it’s description and gives warning to the believer as well. It says that ‘they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare’, no doubt we have in this nation, the richest on earth, truly fell into a trap and snare. In the beginning of this context it mentions that ‘godliness with contentment is great gain’. But the church says and has been teaching for Thirty to forty years now, great gain is money, wealth, and material success, along with religious advancement! This is our trap and snare today, we are paying for it as are our kids! In the final section in Second Timothy we see that there are those who ‘may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil’, but in the context it talks about ‘those who oppose’ the true servant of the LORD and the truth of the gospel! Only by the LORD’s revealing to these as they are taught, if they will at least listen to us, as we share scriptures, can they ‘recover’ from the devil’s snare!

Romans 11:8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
9 And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:

1 Timothy 3:7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

1 Timothy 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

2 Timothy 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Today there are many warning’s regarding the days we live in and the times. All speak of the peril, strife, and wickedness with unbelief that will accompany the last days of society on earth before the LORD’S coming. The Lord warns us to Watch, for we do not know what hour he is coming! In Mark the word Watch is used three times in four verses. You think the LORD is giving us a hint? Yes, need I tell you? Well here it is, Watch! Watch how you live, Watch how you act, Watch out for snares, Watch out for trouble, Watch out and gaurd your heart, Watch out for false prophets, Watch out for false teachers, Watch out for the Son of Perdition, Watch out for the Mark of the beast, his image, his name, and the number of his name! The Sardis church, known as the ‘dead church’, was told to remember how ‘thou has received and heard’! What was it they heard and received? The gospel, the commandments, the truth of the Messiah, the message of the LORD God to those who would repent! The Message of Love and obedience! It warns the Sardis believers to ‘Watch’ or the LORD would come upon them as a thief! If we knew what hour a thief would break into our house it would not be hard to witness it and catch him. But because we do not, thieves break in and steal when we are not on gaurd. So too, the LORD is coming and when you least expect it, he will be here, Therefore, Repent, Watch, Pray, and be ready!

Servants to Watch, we know not the hour!

Mark 13:34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Warning to the Sardis Church!

Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee

Repent therefore, Watch, and Pray always!

Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man

DESTROYERS WILL COME OUT

When I read in The Jerusalem Post (July 22) the dangerous and ridiculous words of Debra DeLee, the President and CEO of Americans for Peace Now; knowing that she has a willing ally in White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel who is also a strong supporter of Peace Now’s self-destructive folly: I realize that the ancient verse: “Your destroyers will come out of your own midst” is dangerously true of the reality today.

This is what DeLee dares write in her Obama-supporting article:

Obviously, the Palestinians should take steps to show that they are serious about peace negotiations and Arab governments should do their part to support peace efforts, and the president is pushing on these fronts. But what the Arabs do or not do doesn’t change what Israel should do.

We at Americans for Peace Now, and our friends at Israel’s Peace Now movement, believe that for the sake of its security, stability and long-term wellbeing, Israel should immediately reverse the settlement enterprise. And now, particularly now, instead of seeking “shticks and tricks” to evade a settlement freeze-in the words of New York Congressman Gary Ackerman, a staunch friend of Israel-Netanyahu should do whatever it takes to take advantage of the opportunity that Obama proposes.
DeLee, who writes about her “experience with the Democratic Party (She was chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee) and with Chicago politics” must have had, and still has, a close working relationship with Obama and of course Emanuel.

So here we have the true picture: self-hating Jews pushing the Goyim to force Israel according to their self-destructive, anti-Israel agenda to make concessions that with out doubt would lead to Israel’s destruction.

Listen to the foolish and self-destructive advice to her fellow Jews, “her Israeli friends:”

“What the Arabs do or do not do doesn’t change what Israel should do.”

In short this is ‘honest’ advice for Israel to be willing to commit suicide, all in the interests of the so-called peace dream of the Israeli left. For when there will be no more Israel there of course will be peace – peace not of “the brave,” as Arafat cruelly named the process once, but the peace of Israel’s grave. And this brought about – as in history before – by self-destructive Jews themselves.

How happy the Gentile Obamas and Solanas must be for such ‘helpful’ Jews!

So here, maliciously, in the name of ‘a peace’ that will lead to Israel’s destruction – wrapped in the beautiful sounding “we say it to you as friends in all honesty” – Israel is being told not just by her bitter enemies but also by her self-hating Jews to freeze all settlements. And these include those quarters in unified Jerusalem, which is for these turncoats still occupied territory. Israel must be ready to withdraw without waiting for any reciprocity from their sworn enemies. And those enemies will certainly use these abandoned areas to establish their third, Jihad-inspired terrorist state (after Hamas in Gaza and the Hizbullah in Lebanon) from which to finish off what will be left of Israel.

It was as the late Arafat, in a rare moment of honesty, confided to a reporter for the Dutch paper Trouw: “Peace for us means the destruction of Israel and to that peace process even some Jews are willing to lend their hand.”

Therefore in the light of all this I felt to write this personal letter to Elie Wiesel:

Dear and honorable Mr. Wiesel!

As a Christian believer, with the stress on believer – as I believe with all my heart all that God has written and prophetically foretold about your chosen and beloved people – so as a believer, I am greatly concerned and also angered at times at the way the present U.S. administration under Barack Hussein Obama is taking America’s relationship with Israel, your people.

You once stood courageously in front of your former President George W. Bush and upbraided him for visiting the graves of young Nazi soldiers at Bittburg, with the words: This is not the place for you to be at, Mr. President.”

A few months ago you stood equally together with your new President at “the grave” of your precious father at Buchenwald. I found your comments and speech there in front of a man that hardly lifts his finger against the threat of Iran’s Ahmadinejad’s newly proposed holocaust for your – also by me- beloved people weak in comparison to the courageous words you spoke to George W. Bush, certainly a much better friend to the people of Israel than the present U.S. administration, which uses, as indeed many of your previous enemies have done, the ultra leftist Israeli Rahm Emanuel as their fig leaf or should we say ‘their court Jew’ to bring the whole relationship of the U.S. versus Israel on a dangerous and life-threatening collision course! This also with their unnecessary virulent objection against Jews building their homes in their own historic land, a land they are indeed willing to share with others.

When President Obama allowed some of the leaders of the U.S. Jewish organizations to appear before him – to assuage their fears and apprehensions, he maliciously forbade any of the stronger defenders of Israel to be part of that group. Of course all the more leftist leaders were welcome!

I may have missed it – but I failed to hear your so gifted strong voice speak against this denial and sell-out of your people Israel’s best interest.

I just read your introduction to the excellent book by David Wyman: ‘The abandonment of the Jews” – a frightful exposé of the compliance of most of the U.S. Jewish and Christian leadership in relation to the weak and utterly reprehensible response by President Roosevelt to the deadly threat faced then by those European Jews at least those not yet massacred by Hitler’s regime. It is an appalling record and in their just held meeting with your President it looks very much to me now a repeat of U.S. Jewish history. I can cry – how lonely Israel is even in the midst of her own Jewish people and come with this heartcry to you in the hope that one who like you and your father and fellow inmates have been in your own life victims of this abandonment will not allow this weak and self-centered spirit present in too many of your people today – to allow Israel to be abandoned again to the will and evil machinations of their present enemies.

Deuteronomy 33:26 ¶There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.
27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

When Trouble Arises what shall men do?
Hear, for I shall speak,
The sons of men shall faint in their very vanity,
But the LORD shall be my shield and defense.
When the enemy cometh to destroy,
You, in my God shall I be found.

Jeremiah 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

I will not fear what evil men can do.
I will walk by thy close guidance oh Lord.
Indeed, thy light shall lead me,
Yea during the day of darkness,
Peace shall encompass me,
Thy rest shall bring me strength,
I will walk among the angels of God,
For the hand of evil will not touch me.

Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.The Lord is my banner,

He is my love,
He brings me to his bosom,
In Him, shall I be found,
For there wickedness shall not find me.

YSHUA is LORD

His salvation shall bring me home,
Yea home to his redemption.
Home in the midst of joy,
Everlasting shall his rest be.
Yea to his rest will I be brought,
For he is faithful,
He is true,
He is light,
His love surrounds his people,
Those who keep his Word,
Those who keep the testimony of Y’SHUA,
Those who honor his commandments,
For this is love.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

Love thy God with all thy might,
Love thy neighbor as thyself,
“If you love me”, saith he,
“Then keep my commandments.”
Yea, to the Lord belongs Honor,
Glory, amen unto the Lord,
For the Eternal shall save his people.

Again, this shall he do most righteously,
He shall rule from Zion,
He shall establish Jerusalem,
He shall bring in His kingdom,
Even so, let it come, let it be,
Oh Lord do thy work!

Isaiah 45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me

Bless the LORD
Bless his name,
For he is holy,
Let it be written,
“It already is” saith my God;
“I have declared the end from the beginning”,
“I AM” saith the LORD,
“Eternal”,
“There is no other God”,
“There is no other Savior”,
“I AM”, Saith He;
“I AM”.

Let me declare the declaration,
Let me give the testimony,
The LORD is my Rock,
He is my Salvation,
This is my God, The Eternal,
I AM, the God of all Gods,
Even my Father,
Who gave of his only begotten Son,
Y’SHUA, Jesus Christ for the sins of men!

2 Corinthians 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:

Of which, he saved Sinners,
by his sacrifice on the cross,
He is the Lamb of God,
King of Kings,
LORD of Lords,
My savior,
My LORD,
Who saved me,
The chief of all sinners,
Without him there is no salvation,
In him,
We are redeemed,
Eternally in this God,
Our Savior,
Forever!

1 John 5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Let it be written,
Let it be witnessed,
This is the True God,
And Y’SHUA Ha Massiach,
Jesus Christ is his only begotten Son,

cross hill

Upon the hill I walked on that day.
Near the cross of the three that hung.
The clouds were thick and black in a moment,
When at the words, a rumble was heard.
The words that rang out clear to me saying
“It is Finished.”
Sunshine gave way on that fateful day,
Wind stirred into a torrent greatly,
Silence stilled the masses as in this moment,
Surely all knew, yes, surely they knew,
That this was God,
God has just died upon that tree.

John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Matthew 27:41 Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,
42 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
43 He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.
44 The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.
45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

There were those who wept.
The soldiers gambled and mocked at this one.
Crowds grew near and shook their heads saying;
“who did this one think he was,
could he save himself?” they ridiculed.
Laughing, swearing, and cussing they passed by!
Then all was silent, it was over.
Soldiers left,
The crowds in their homes,
Now on the hill,
There those cursed crosses,
Three hung silently as the wind swept by.
But of the three, one was innocent,
He was the Lamb,
Sacrificed for the world,
Blood spilt for the sins of many,
This one called Y’Shua.

The Messiah of God had been laid shortly thereafter,
In a tomb not far from where I walked.
The followers of this one had hoped for much,
They had seen it all,
Plans for the kingdom dashed,
These had scattered to the four winds,
Yet, I alone, look on, wondering still!

Three days gone,
The women come running, saying
“He’s gone, from the tomb,
He’s alive, excitedly they screamed”!
Days passed by and many had witnessed his rising.
I alone, saw him not,
Till on that day,
In the room with the others,
This one appeared and said unto me;
“Reach in with your finger”
“Behold my hands”
“Reach in with your hand,
Thrust it into my side, be not faithless, but believing”,
So said Y’Shua, the ONE of God unto me, Thomas!

John 20:26 ¶And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
John 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Further he looked at me and said surely,
“blessed are they that have not seen,
yea and yet have believed”.
As for me, Thomas,
“Now I believe,
This indeed is the Christ, the Son of God, Y’Shua Ha Massiach,”
He who came, did die and arose,
Then ascended unto God, standing at his right hand,
Yet to come again, so this I say,
“Believe and stay not thy faith in this ONE, the ONLY Begotten Son,
Of the True and LIVING GOD”,
This I Thomas say, who now believes,
Who has been redeemed by the blood of this LAMB!

Blessed be the LORD God who has done this!
Blessed be the Son of God who came!
Blessed be the Father who sent his Son!
Blessed and joyous are they who know this,
Yea, those who have received of this LAMB!

For they are the Son’s of God!

John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
